In Karan Johar’s Own Words

Karan Johar called being the first Indian to host The Earthshot Prize Awards Night a moment of immense personal pride, adding that hosting it in Mumbai makes the occasion even more meaningful. Why Mumbai, and Why Now

The choice of Mumbai carries extra significance, given that Prince William and Kate Middleton had visited the city nearly a decade earlier. India already shares a connection with the Prize, having had several Indian innovations feature among its previous winners and finalists. pinkvillapinkvilla

The Earthshot Prize itself was established to spotlight and support solutions tackling some of the world’s most urgent environmental challenges — an initiative closely tied to the broader push around climate change mitigation happening globally.
