Forbes has released the list of the highest paid athletes under 25 in 2023. And while the bigger list features the top names from several different sports, some of them are simply financially stronger. In this list, we will be taking a look at the top five highest paid athletes in 2023 from all over the world.

5. Luka Dončić – $47.2M 

At 24, Doncic is already considered the best Slovenian basketball player of all-time. The Dallas Mavericks point guard is a four-time NBA All Star and kicks off the top five with a yearly pay of $47.2 million. He is the only NBA player to feature in the top five. 

4. Erling Haaland – $52M

The Manchester City striker’s contract includes a lot of bonuses, but all of them have possibly been activated following his sensational debut season with them. Haaland currently earns a total amount of $52 million with the Premier League club.

3. Max Verstappen – $64M

Verstappen is the second youngest F1 driver to win two world championships. He has been unbeatable at the top since winning the title, but is beneath seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in the overall earnings list in F1. 

2. Kyler Murray – $70.5M 

Murray appears second in the list with a yearly earning of $70.5 million. The Arizona Cardinals quarterback was named the offensive rookie of the year in 2019, and currently has speculation rife on his future. 

1. Kylian Mbappé – $120M 

Mbappe leads the list of the highest paid athletes under 25, with a $120 million salary with PSG. He also earns a significant amount through sponsorships, and saw a huge jump from $43m last year to take the top spot this time around.
