Following Chelsea’s £6 billion sale to Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital in 2022, they have remained the third-wealthiest in the Premier League. However, their time under the new owners has been disastrous to say the least. There is now optimism that the 23/24 season could yield a better result.

2. Man City – Sheikh Mansour (£22.9bn)

Manchester City were familiar to the other end of the table before Sheikh Mansour took over in 2008. The owner of the International Petroleum Investment Company has led them to unprecedented heights in England, and has helped them become the best in the country.
