Spy Games Go Digital: “Alpha” Finally Lands on Netflix

The YRF Spy Universe just got bigger — and a lot more accessible. After ruling theatres this summer, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, is making its streaming debut, giving fans who missed the big-screen release a second shot at the action.

When and Where to Watch Alpha

Alpha, which first hit theatres on July 3, 2026, begins streaming on Netflix from August 28, 2026. The platform confirmed the date on its official social media handle, setting up a smooth transition from theatrical run to digital availability for a film that’s part of one of Bollywood’s most ambitious franchise universes — the spy fiction genre that YRF has built an entire cinematic world around.

Alpha: Overview

What Alpha Is About

The story follows Vikrant Kaul, drawn into a covert project built around enhancing human abilities. After his pregnant wife Janaki is diagnosed with a serious heart condition, Vikrant secretly administers an experimental serum to her — a decision with lasting consequences after she passes away giving birth to twin daughters. The project’s fallout splits the sisters apart, with one raised in secrecy within the same experimental program while the other grows up with no knowledge of her origins. Decades later, their paths collide, unraveling a conspiracy tied to the very serum that shaped their lives.
