Rohit Shetty Takes Over Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar

The Bigg Boss house just got a very different kind of weekend host. Rohit Shetty has stepped in for Salman Khan on this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar, and the first promo suggests he isn’t there to go easy on anyone.

Rohit Shetty Confronts Aasif Khan

In the promo, the filmmaker wastes no time before putting Aasif Khan, the Panchayat actor, on the spot. He asks what happened between Aasif and Qazi this week. Aasif replies that Qazi often says insensitive things and then claims that it was never his intention. Rohit pushes back and presses him further, making it clear he wants straight answers rather than excuses. The exchange sets the tone for an episode that promises more accountability than usual.

Is Mary Kom Out?

Eviction buzz is also building around Olympic bronze medallist Mary Kom. According to a popular Bigg Boss fan account on X, she has been evicted after receiving fewer votes than the other nominees. As of October 24, neither the makers nor the official channels had confirmed it, so treat the claim as unverified until the episode airs. Seven contestants were reportedly nominated this week: Uditi Singh, Aamrapali Dubey, Manish Goel, Arishfa Khan, Love Gill, Gullu, and Mary Kom.

How the Season Has Played Out

Mary Kom’s reported exit would follow those of Rohed Khan, Isha Rikhi, Reeti Tiwari, and Aman Gandhi, while wild-card entrant Nakul Dhul was shown the door after a house dispute. A recent stamp task also marked Mary Kom, Arishfa Khan, Love Gill, and Gullu as “losers,” which may have shaped audience perception going into voting.

Why Rohit Shetty Fits the Role

Shetty is no stranger to reality television. He has long hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi, where he is known for a firm but fair style. That experience shows in how directly he questions contestants, and viewers are already comparing his approach with Salman Khan’s more teasing, theatrical tone.
