Splitsvilla 16’s Preet Singh Assaulted in Mumbai Club — The Incident That Has All of India Talking

MTV Splitsvilla X6 contestant Preet Singh became the centre of a shocking controversy on April 27, 2026, after she took to Instagram to reveal that she was physically assaulted inside a popular Mumbai nightclub.

In an emotional post, Preet shared videos showing her swollen eyes, bruised face, and a broken tooth — injuries sustained during a violent altercation that began without warning.

Her own words say it all: “I was simply sitting and enjoying time with my friend at a club when a girl suddenly started shouting, questioning how we were even allowed inside. What began as a verbal argument quickly turned horrific when her male friend stepped in and physically assaulted us.”

The attack only stopped when other bystanders intervened. Preet later discovered the woman who instigated the confrontation was herself a social media influencer.

Splitsvilla 16 Key Facts

Why This Story Goes Beyond Celebrity Gossip

This incident is not just about one reality TV star — it reflects a growing concern about physical assault and the accountability gap that persists even in supposedly secure, upscale public spaces.

Preet had always believed Mumbai was one of India’s safest cities for women. The attack shattered that perception, and her decision to speak up publicly has resonated deeply with fans and safety advocates alike.

Her friend Zalak Gohil, who was present during the assault, confirmed the severity: “That night was a nightmare for us. It takes real courage to speak about it.”

Fellow Splitsvilla contestant Ruru Thakur also rallied behind Preet, calling her a “strong, strong woman” for coming forward.

The Influencer Angle — A Wake-Up Call

The alleged involvement of a social media influencer has added a troubling dimension to the story. Digital fame, it seems, provides no shield from legal and moral accountability — and certainly no license to harm others.
