The curtain may have fallen on Splitsvilla 16, but the drama is very much still alive — and it has moved to Instagram. A cryptic post from host Nia Sharma following the show’s finale has sent fans into a frenzy, with many convinced it was a thinly veiled response to contestant Niharika Tiwari’s now-viral “I didn’t know you” comment.

What Happened in Splitsvilla 16 ?

Detail	Info
Show	Splitsvilla 16 (MTV)
Personalities Involved	Nia Sharma (Host), Niharika Tiwari (Contestant)
Trigger	Finale confrontation + post-show Instagram activity
Winners	Gullu (Kushal Tanwar) & Kaira Anu — Rs 20 lakh prize
Platform	MTV India

The Finale Moment That Started It All

At the Splitsvilla 16 finale, Nia asked Niharika why she felt that she, as the host of the show, was biased against her. Defending herself, Nia stated that before the show, she didn’t know about the existence of the contestants, including Niharika’s. This is when Tiwari quickly fired back — saying she didn’t know Nia either.

Three words. Maximum damage. The moment instantly went viral, and fans were divided — some admiring Niharika’s boldness, others feeling it crossed the line of basic respect toward a senior.

Nia Sharma’s Cryptic Instagram Post

After the finale, Nia Sharma shared multiple BTS glimpses from the show on her Instagram. While she looked stunning, it was her caption that stole the spotlight. She wrote: “UN-KNOWN to be well paid for the job. #splitsvilla16. Curtains close on another one of my fav journeys in my not so known 15 years.”

The emphasis on “UN-KNOWN” — deliberately capitalised — was not lost on anyone. While Nia didn’t name anyone, netizens immediately connected the dots and interpreted it as a direct retaliation for Niharika Tiwari’s comments about Nia’s fame.

Subtle? Barely. Effective? Completely.

Niharika Tiwari Responds

Niharika also took to her Instagram Stories and responded to the allegations that she was disrespecting her senior at the finale. Neither Nia nor Niharika has officially addressed the rumoured rift directly, but their captions and posts have made the tension between them pretty evident.

Two public figures, two carefully worded social media posts, zero direct confrontation — this is the modern reality TV beef playbook, executed to perfection.
