Ever since its inception in 2016, Niantic, the developer behind Pokémon GO, has been steadfast in its mission to captivate Pokémon enthusiasts worldwide and encourage them to explore their surroundings. The company’s dedication to enriching the Pokémon GO adventure has been evident through its consistent introduction of engaging features, events, and rewards, as well as innovative updates to both the game and the underlying technology.

Adding to its inclusivity, Niantic recently integrated Hindi language support into Pokémon GO, opening up the fantastical world of Pokémon to an even broader audience in India.

Commenting on this significant achievement, Omar Tellez, VP for Emerging Markets at Niantic, expressed his elation. “The recognition of Pokémon GO as the Best Ongoing Game on Google Play in India signifies a celebration of the collaborative spirit that underpins Niantic and our extraordinary community. It echoes the unwavering love our Trainers and communities have shown us since we unveiled the game in 2016. We are immensely grateful to each of our Indian Trainers for their contribution to our expanding community and look forward to welcoming new Trainers on their exciting Pokémon adventures.”

It underscores the shared passion that binds the community together, making Pokémon GO more than just a game – it’s a never-ending adventure that transcends boundaries and invites everyone to dive into the world of augmented reality.
