Trainers across India got a real-world treat as Pokémon GO rolled out special Community Celebrations in three major cities, marking a decade of getting people outdoors and exploring, right before the massive global GO Fest 2026 event.

What Happened & Where in Pokémon GO?

The day-long celebration ran from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. IST on July 6, 2026, across Freedom Park in Bengaluru, Carter Road in Mumbai, and Baansera Park in New Delhi. Popular content creators joined the fun too — Ashish Chanchlani appeared at the Mumbai celebration, while Nischay Malhan (Triggered Insaan) and Ujjwal Chaurasia (Techno Gamerz) showed up in New Delhi.

What Trainers Got To Experience

Attendees battled through Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y Raid Battles, alongside encounters with several other featured Pokémon throughout the day. Every venue featured a dedicated pop-up experience complete with photo spots, giveaways, and Pokémon GO merchandise. Checking in unlocked Timed Research, rewarding players with Pokémon encounters and useful in-game items, while local Community Ambassadors guided activities on the ground.
