Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day October 2026: Date, Timings, Bonuses, Sucker Punch Zoroark and Special Research Explained

Trainers, mark your calendars. The Tricky Fox Pokémon is stepping into the spotlight this weekend, and Zorua is the star of Pokémon GO’s October 2026 Community Day. Whether you’re chasing a shiny, hoping to evolve a Zoroark with an exclusive move or simply want to enjoy a day out with fellow players, this event has plenty to offer.

Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day: Overview

What Is Happening on Community Day?

Community Day is Pokémon GO’s monthly celebration where one featured Pokémon appears far more often in the wild for a limited window. This time it’s Zorua, and for three hours on Saturday afternoon you can expect to see it everywhere around you. Lucky Trainers might also run into a Shiny Zorua or one with a Special Background, which makes the hunt feel like a real treasure search.

The Exclusive Move: Sucker Punch Zoroark

The reason many Trainers take this event seriously is the featured attack. If you evolve Zorua during the event, or up to four hours afterwards, you’ll get a Zoroark that knows the Fast Attack Sucker Punch. That four-hour grace period is helpful, because it means you can spend your three hours catching and then evolve afterwards at your own pace. A sensible plan is to catch as many Zorua as you can, collect enough Candy and evolve a few of your best before the window closes.

Event Bonuses That Make It Worth Playing

The bonuses are generous, and they’re the real engine of a big Community Day.

Catching Pokémon earns 3× XP and 2× Candy, which is excellent for levelling up and powering up your team. Trainers at level 31 and above also get a 2× chance to receive Candy XL from catches, handy if you’re building toward higher-level evolutions. Incense activated during the event lasts three hours (excluding Daily Adventure Incense), and Lure Modules last one hour and may attract Zorua. You can also take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.

Some bonuses last longer than the main event. The Lure Module duration, the extra Special Trade and the Stardust discount are all active from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time. That means you can make one additional Special Trade, for a maximum of two for the day, and trades need 50% less Stardust. If you’ve been saving trades for the right moment, the evening is a good time to do it.

Community Day Special Research

For INR 59, or the equivalent in your local currency, you can unlock the Zorua Community Day Special Research. Completing it earns extra rewards, including three encounters with Zorua that have a Special Background, additional Zorua encounters, one Premium Battle Pass and one Rare Candy XL, along with other goodies.

Tickets will go live later, so keep an eye on the game. You can also purchase and gift tickets to friends you’ve reached Great Friends level or higher with. To gift one, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap Gift instead of Buy. Gifting can’t be completed if the recipient already has a ticket or has been gifted one. Tickets are nonrefundable, subject to applicable law and the Terms of Service, and this research won’t include an in-game medal or a story.

Where Can You Join the Meetups?

Community Day meetups will take place in 55 Indian cities, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. IST. Examples include Bengaluru’s Cubbon Park, Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, Delhi’s Lodhi Garden, Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium, Chennai’s Nexus Mall, Hyderabad’s Shilparamam Art and Craft Village, Pune’s Sarasbaug, Ahmedabad’s Uttam Nagar Garden, Lucknow’s Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Park and Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. Many other cities are covered too, including Kochi, Jaipur, Indore, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Goa and Varanasi, so there’s a good chance a meetup is near you. Check the official Pokémon GO announcement for your city’s exact location.

Tips for a Smooth Day

Charge your phone and carry a power bank, because three hours of heavy play drains batteries quickly. Activate Incense as the event begins, and save your Lure Modules for busy spots. Keep some Candy and Stardust ready for evolving and trading, and stay aware of your surroundings, following local health authority guidelines. Events are subject to change, so follow Pokémon GO on social media or turn on push notifications for updates. Newcomers can learn more about the game on Pokémon GO’s Wikipedia page.
