Philippe Coutinho wants a Premier League return

Philippe Coutinho, who was once touted as one of the best upcoming attacking midfielders during his Liverpool days, has somehow lost his track. He left Liverpool midway in January 2018 for €160 million to join Barcelona in his bid to become one of the best footballers.

But since that move to Barcelona, his career graph has taken a sharp turn downwards. He wasn’t used in his preferred position in the Barcelona team. He was deployed as a winger and as a result, he failed to inspire the team from that position. He quickly lost his place in the team.

Coutinho joined Bayern Munich on loan at the start of this season. His performances have improved but it’s nothing compared to his Liverpool days. And it seems unlikely Bayern will make his loan move permanent. So he will return to Barcelona at the end of this season.

Barcelona is already eyeing a transfer for Neymar to make Messi feel happy again at Camp Nou. Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is also on the cards. So it’s pretty much clear Barcelona don’t plan to play Coutinho and will most likely offload him in the summer.

Coutinho had the best days of his career in the Premier League playing for Liverpool. Liverpool has already put a stop to the transfer speculation regarding Coutinho’s return. But there are many other Premier League clubs, like Chelsea and Arsenal who would like the Brazillian on their team sheet.

Philippe Coutinho’s representative, Kia Joorabchian said to Sky Sports News: “The fact I’m an Arsenal supporter is not a secret. I don’t have any preference where the players go. I don’t try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility.”

“After the Champions League game he played in England [when Bayern Munich beat Chelsea 3-0], we had a long chat about it. The Premier League is something that he has always enjoyed playing in, and loved playing in, and would probably love to come back and play in.”

“The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic.”

Kingsley Coman says Pep Guardiola is the most influential coach

0

Pep Guardiola initially brought Kingsley Coman to Bayern Munich on loan from Juventus in 2015. Guardiola trusted the teenager and Coman had an immediate impact on the Bayern team.

In his first season, Coman played a key role to inspire Bayern to win both the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. But in recent times, he has suffered numerous injuries which have halted his progress as a player.

coman

Coman returned to the team in February after being sidelined for 2 months due to a knee problem. But sadly, he suffered another thigh injury just before this season came to a halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Bundesliga is hoping to resume at the start of May which will provide Coman with enough time to be back from the injury.

Kingsley Coman has played under many managers during his time at Juventus, Bayern Munich and France. Among all of them, he has named current Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as the most influential coach he has ever had.

Coman told Eurosport: “I would say, Guardiola. He is the one who made me start playing a little more regularly even if I had played a few matches at Juve.”

coman guardiola

“For a player in my position, a winger who likes to hit and provoke, he is the best coach we can have because that is what demands us the most. He creates systems to have one-on-one situations and it’s the system where I can flourish the most.”

“He didn’t ask me to have stats. He just asked me to take, hit and centre. And that was what I appreciated very much.”

He further added: “We had not touched a ball on a football pitch for almost a month and even if we’re split in small groups it’s a pleasure to play again and step onto a field that has goals. We’re doing technical work, at a safe distance from each other. It’s a bit like the end of the close season when you resume training individually.”

“We work, we work, and I hope we can finish the season otherwise all that work will have been for nothing.”

Barcelona deny the corruption allegations by former vice president Emili Rousaud

0

Barcelona vice president Emili Rousaud along with 5 other board members, Enrique Tombas, Silvio Elias, Josep Pont, Jordi Calsamiglia and Maria Texidor has resigned on Thursday. This has caused turbulence inside the Barcelona board room.

Rousaud claimed “someone had their hand in the till” at the club. In an interview with RAC1 on Friday, he said: “I don’t know who it could’ve been, but I think so. When you pay a million euros for something that’s worth 100,000 euros, white and in a bottle. I don’t know who it was, but one can have an idea.”

He further added: “He [Bartomeu] broke up the payment in order to avoid control of the commission. Now there’s an investigation that will say how it all went. Bartomeu knows that. The social media matter is a dirty one.”

“I think someone has had their hand in the till, but I don’t know who. Although I don’t think it’s someone on the board.”

Barcelona has now released an official statement on Friday denying all the corruption claims.

The official club statement read: “Given the serious and unfounded accusations made this morning by Mr Emili Rousaud, former institutional vice president of the Club, in various interviews with the media, FC Barcelona categorically denies any action that could be classified as corruption, and therefore reserves the right to filing of criminal actions that may correspond.”

“In this sense, the analysis of the monitoring services of social networks is being subject to an extensive independent audit by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC), which is still ongoing and, therefore, without any conclusions, having facilitated the Club all the information and means that PWC has been requesting since the beginning of the process.”

“Finally, the resignations of members of the Board of Directors announced in the last few hours have taken place as a result of the remodelling of the Board promoted by President Josep Maria Bartomeu this week, and which will be completed in the coming days.”

“This remodelling of the Board of Directors aims to face with the maximum guarantees the last section of the mandate, with the aim of implementing the necessary measures to prepare the future of the Club, overcoming the consequences of the health crisis that we are experiencing, and of completing the actions of the management program started in 2010 and the Strategic Plan approved in 2015.”

Barcelona board has faced a lot of criticism in recent times. Club captain Messi, who usually keeps quiet, has come out protesting the board members. It looks like Bartomeu has lost his control over the club and maybe his time is up as the Barcelona president. The presidential election which was due to be held after one year can now be even brought forward to elect a new president.

Bartomeu in dilemma, six directors of Barcelona board resign

0

Already Barcelona board was in confusion and fans were furious against Bartomeu’s acts and decisions. Now, new chaos has begun ahead of the Easter weekend with the resignation of six directors who no longer want to work under president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

According to multiple reports, Vice presidents, Emili Rousaud and Enrique Tombas, have both quit including the board directors Silvio Elias, Josep Pont, Jordi Calsamiglia and Maria Texidor.

The Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia has published a letter that was sent to Bartomeu explaining the reasons for quitting which was signed by all six of them.

“We hereby want to communicate that the directors below signatories have transferred to President Bartomeu our decision to irrevocably resign from our status as FC Barcelona executives.

”We have reached this point by not being able to reverse the criteria and forms of management of the club in the face of the important challenges of the future and, in particular, from the new post-pandemic scenario.

”We must also highlight our disillusion over the unfortunate social media episode, known as ‘Barcagate’, of which we found out through the press.”

The letter also reports that the board members urges for elections to be called and asked for compensation. Already president Bartomeu had a year in hand only and election was to be held next summer but the recent uneasiness inside the board, conflict between the board and the management including the players worsened the situation even further.

Bartomeu in dilemma, six directors of Barcelona board resign

I feel betrayed because the reasons given by the president are not the real ones. There is not much weight and there is no proof of what he claims.

Emili Rousand

The resignations follow the reports earlier in the week that Bartomeu wanted Rousaud, Tombas, Elias and Pont to resign. Rousand did hit back in an interview with Marca, saying the fact that he felt “betrayed” by Bartomeu.

He also added that Bartomeu told him that he wanted him to resign because he had leaked information or criticised players to journalists and had also criticised employees. Bartomeu’s weak decisions and bad administration was the sole reason for this current situation, now time will tell when Barcelona board will get a new president.

Mazinho says Neymar is Lionel Messi’s ‘natural replacement’ at Barcelona

0

When the entire world is in speculation of the current transfer situation of Neymar Jr, former Brazilian international Mazinho has spoken about Barcelona’s Neymar situation this week.

The World Cup winner who is father of Thiago and Rafina is confident that the true long-term replacement for Lionel Messi at Barca is in fact Neymar and Messi too feels that, so he’s top priority this summer will be signing Neymar anyhow.

”[Barcelona] would be delighted if he can return tomorrow,” he said.

”He is Messi’s natural replacement.

”There is no other to replace Messi.”

The words of Mazinho makes sense accurate because it’s true that if Barca needs an heir to Messi, who is undoubtedly one of the best player this decade.

Neymar with his skills and pace still remains unpredictable like Messi so naturally if the club wants to keep its attack strong fot about next five years they need the Brazilian badly.

Global Semiconductor Revenue will witness a steep decline in 2020 due to COVID-19

0

In this global pandemic period most of the countries across the globe are locking down themselves to stop spreading the Coronavirus. This implies offices, manufacturing, shops and every non essential means of item are under lockdown.

When naturally people are finding hard to manage food staying at their home buying a computer won’t be a good option for anyone. So, it’s very likely that the semiconductor market will face a huge impact due to this global pandemic.

There will be impact in both the semiconductor supply as well as demand. This will lead to a decline of 0.9% in worldwide semiconductor revenue this year a Gartner report said on Thursday.

Global Semiconductor Revenue will witness a steep decline in 2020 due to COVID-19

This is sharply down from the earlier forecast of 12.5% growth for this year which indeed can be a huge blow for giants like Intel, AMD, NVIDIA and others. Overall, the 2020 global semiconductor revenue has been reduced from the previous quarter’s forecast by $55 billion, to $415.4 billion.

“The wide spread of COVID-19 across the world and the resulting strong actions by governments to contain the spread will have a far more severe impact on demand than initially predicted,” said Richard Gordon, research practice vice president at Gartner.

“This year’s forecast could have been worse, but growth in memory could prevent a steep decline,” he added.

On the other hand, the semiconductor memory revenue accounts for 30% of the total worldwide semiconductor market in 2020. The memory market is forecasted to reach $124.7 billion in 2020, an increase of 13.9%, while the non-memory revenue market is supposed to reach a total of $290.6 billion, a decline of 6.1% (year-over-year).

Global Semiconductor Revenue will witness a steep decline in 2020 due to COVID-19

Within the memory industry, the NAND flash revenue is forecasted to grow 40% in 2020 due to severe shortages persisting from 2019, which keeps the pricing firm.

“NAND flash supply will remain historically low in 2020 due to fab delays and technology transitions, but the demand will diminish later in 2020,” said Gordon.

The strong demand from server markets as well as the cloud service providers will push the revenue in the DRAM industry in 2020. However, the more RAM requirements these days will help the industry grow but obviously there will be a decline in revenue due to the weak demand and falling prices.

For the DRAM market overall, Gartner analysts estimate DRAM revenue will decline by 2.4% in 2020. “Non-memory semiconductor markets will experience a significant reduction in smartphone, automobile and consumer electronics production and be heavily impacted across the board,” Gordon forecasts.

Barcelona wants to swap Nelson Semedo for Man City’s Joao Cancelo

0

Swap deals will be more prevalent this summer as the financial situation of all football clubs are in question. So, new reports say that Barca wants to swap right-back Nelson Semedo for Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo in the summer transfer window.

According to , due to the coronavirus pandemic means clubs around Europe will be looking to swap players this summer and Barca are keen to bring the 25-year-old.

Semedo’s had an uncertain future for a little while and there was regular rumors that Barcelona are willing to offload him in the next transfer window.

Barcelona wants to swap Nelson Semedo for Man City's Joao Cancelo

The Portugal international’s devastating pace and dribbling has helped the Blaugranas many a times but his defensive duties have been questioned always. He has featured in 21 of Barca’s 27 La Liga games in 2019-20 and said in February thay his new manager Quique Setien has lot of trust in him.

Yet new report suggests that he could be replaced by Cancelo, who switched from Juventus to Manchester City in August 2019 but has struggled to make much of an impact at the Etihad Stadium.

Cancelo has only made eight Premier League starts since then because of their preferred right-back Kyle Walker and may welcome a new challenge if this sep transfer completes this summer.

Lautaro Martinez is an easier target than Neymar for Barcelona

It’s no longer secret! The Blaugranas are whole heartedly trying to bring the Inter sensation Lautaro Martinez as well their former Brazilian winger Neymar Jr.

Obviously the pursuit of Neymar and Lautaro Martinez continues to make headlines in Spain with the Inter Milan forward once again in the front page news.

Mundo Deportivo has reported that Barcelona believes that it will be easier for them sign the Argentinian this summer than bringing Neymar back to the Camp Nou from Paris Saint-Germain. Both will have high price tags considering the fact how crucial they are for their respective clubs.

Photo by Marco Canoniero/LightRocket via Getty Images

Barcelona’s highest priority this summer will be to bring in a replacement for 33-year-old Luis Surarez. Martinez is the “chosen one” by the board and is liked by his captain Leo Messi, he himself also is only keen to move to Barca only.

The 22-year old is far more affordable than Neymar, who is considering one of the bests after Leo and Cristiano. Lautaro currently earns €2m at Inter Milan, while Barca are planning to offer him a lucrative €7m wage.

To have both of them on one side, Neymar will have to lower his wages significantly, considering the current financial crisis of the club, to achieve a move to Barcelona. He is said to aksing a salary of €36m.

MD also reckons the fact that age may play a key factor in Barcelona’s decison. Neymar has turned 28 in February, while Martinez is still only 22, Barca will try to bring both of them but if they have to choose any one of them, the current situation will urge board to bring Lautaro only.
