It’s not the first time we have heard about the OnePlus tablet or OnePlus Pad, though we don’t have any solid confirmation of the naming convention we know this device is in the works for months now.

OnePlus Tablet Expectations

Earlier leaks had suggested that this OnePlus tablet would come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage on the rumored device. However, as its 2023 now, we expect more upgrades in terms of hardware but the rumored design could be similar and considering BBK, the parent of OnePlus already makes Oppo and Realme tablets, the design inspiration won’t be very disalike.

OnePlus Pad

OnePlus Pad could be an entirely brand-new device with a fresh design but it needs to be seen going forward. If that is the case, some features can be expected to bring a high refresh rate display, a new version of OxygenOS designed for large-screen devices, and also support for fast charging.

It is expected to feature a 12.4-inch full-HD+ OLED display and offer a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel primary and 5-megapixel secondary sensors. The tablet could come with a 10,090mAh battery with a support for 45W fast charging.

On February 1st, the Union Budget 2023 – 24 will be declared by the Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and a lot of expectations is been anticipated as this is the last announcement before the next elections. With a lot of expectations, the increasing electronics and semiconductor market in India has huge anticipation.

One such brand is Acer India, the Taiwanese OEM which has a strong presence in India and a foothold to implement the PLI incentives to manufacture products in-house. Now, the brand’s Chief Finance Officer, Alok Dubey has shared his insights and expectation towards this upcoming union budget FY 2023-24:

Alok Dubey, CFO of Acer India expects the upcoming budget will stress the development of talent and skills
Alok Dubey, CFO of Acer India

“Budget 2023-24 would probably be the most challenging one that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman would be tabled on February 1, 2023. I think that this year’s budget should give digital infrastructure and skills a high priority. Although India may have a positive view of “digital” and technology, more needs to be done to support the country’s digital-first strategy as it aspires to become a USD 5 trillion economy.

The government’s commitment to digital skill development and its alignment with the IT Tech sector, and the PLI scheme targeted at helping manufacturers of IT hardware and computer servers need to receive equal weight in this year’s budget. Government policy could be changed to promote the development of talent and skills. The tech industry requires a talented and skilled workforce. The government may provide funding for programmes to modernise educational buildings with state-of-the-art R&D capabilities.”

SK Hynix launches new LPDDR5T RAM, 13% faster than LPDDR5X

LPDDR5T RAM is here – SK Hynix launches World’s Fastest Mobile DRAM

The innovation from DRAM giant SK Hynix isn’t stopping here as it has recently announced the launch of the successor to its high-speed LPDDR5X memory. Yes, it’s called the LPDDR5T (Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo) RAM which is touted to be up to 13% faster than the best available in the market i.e. LPDDR5X.

The giant says in its press release that it has also provided sample products to customers. This new product, LPDDR5T, operates at a whopping data rate of 9.6 gigabits per second (Gbps), increasing the memory bandwidth even further. So, to highlight the maximum speed the product features, SK Hynix added ‘Turbo’ at the end of the standard name LPDDR5.

The speciality of this new memory is that it can operate at an ultra-low voltage range of 1.01 to 1.12V set by the JEDEC as well as have ultra-low power consumption. SK Hynix has sampled 16GB multi-chip packaging that combines multiple LPDDR5T chips into one package. This package helps to process 77GB of data per second, which is equivalent to transferring fifteen FHD (Full-HD) movies in one second.

“The company pushed the technology to new limits in just two months after LPDDR5X, mobile DRAM with 8.5Gbps specification, was introduced to the market in November 2022,” SK Hynix said. “We will solidify our leadership in the mobile DRAM market by providing products of various storage capacities that meet customers’ needs.”

The memory giant is said to start mass production of LPDDR5T using 1anm, the fourth generation of the 10nm technology, in the second half of the year.

Former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale has announced his participation in the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. It comes only weeks after he retired from professional football, last playing for MLS club LAFC and helping them win the MLS Cup.

Gareth Bale to participate in PGA tour tournament after retiring from football

A lot has been said about Gareth Bale’s involvement and love for golf, especially during his final years at Real Madrid. He attracted a lot of criticism for the same, particularly the “Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order” flag.

He was also seen playing golf when he was dropped from the squad, which caused further criticism among the Madrid faithful. But now, he is free to pursue his ‘hobby’, as he revealed in the past:

“Football is my No.1 sport. I’m paid to do it and I always give my best. Golf is a hobby like anyone else would have a hobby. There is nothing wrong with having a round. People make a lot of it, but a lot of footballers play and it’s one thing I really enjoy.”

Bale will be playing at Pebble Beach alongside 156 other amateurs and celebrities. The likes of Bill Murray, Jason Bateman and Macklemore are expected to participate, and the prize money for the tournament is a hefty £7 million.
