By the finale’s calmer final stretch, the Pogues get their happy ending: John B and Sarah marry and have their land and the Chateau restored, welcoming a baby son they name JJ after their late friend. Pope proposes to Cleo, and Rafe proposes to Sofia after mending things with his sister Sarah. It’s a bittersweet but earned send-off for a show that always treated friendship as the real treasure.
