Vivo and iQOO have officially announced the OriginOS 6 rollout schedule for India, marking the end of FunTouch OS era. Built on Android 16, this major update brings revolutionary AI features, massive performance improvements, and a stunning redesign starting November 2025.
Table of Contents
OriginOS 6: Rollout Timeline
| Phase | Vivo Devices | iQOO Devices |
|---|---|---|
| Early November | X Fold 5, X200 Pro, X200, V60 | iQOO 13 |
| Mid November | X Fold 3 Pro, X100 Pro, X100 | iQOO 12 |
| Mid December | V60e, V50, V50e, T4 Ultra, T4 Pro | Neo 10, Neo 10R, Neo 9 Pro |
| H1 2026 | X90 Pro/X90, 40+ V/T/Y series models | iQOO 11, Z10/Z9 series |
What Makes OriginOS 6 Special?
Performance Boost: The Origin Smooth Engine delivers jaw-dropping improvements—apps launch 18.5% faster, frame rates stabilize 10.5% better, and data loads 106% quicker. Animations feel 35% smoother thanks to the Origin Animation System with Spring, Blur Transition, and Morphing effects.
Redesigned from Ground Up: The Origin Design System introduces the custom Vivo Sans font supporting 40+ languages, Translucent Color effects, and Dynamic Glow for depth. The Lock Screen Grid lets you customize widgets, fonts, and photo layouts, while the 4×7 home screen supports adaptive folders and Flip Cards.
AI Features That Actually Matter
Origin Island acts as a smart hub showing live updates and contextual suggestions at the top of your screen—think Dynamic Island but smarter. The AI Retouch Suite combines AI Erase, Image Expander, and Photo Enhance into one powerful editing toolset.
Game-changing AI tools include Copy and Go (instantly use copied text for calls or messages), Drag and Go (drag content into suggested apps), Smart Call Assistant, DocMaster, and integration with Google’s Circle to Search and Gemini Live.
From FunTouch to Origin
This marks a historic shift for Indian users as OriginOS 6 replaces FunTouch OS entirely. Previously exclusive to China, OriginOS now becomes Vivo and iQOO’s unified operating system globally, bringing consistency and enhanced features across all markets.
With 50+ eligible devices across Vivo’s X, V, T, Y series and iQOO’s flagship and Z lineup, this is one of the largest OS rollouts in recent memory. Early adopters with X200 series and iQOO 13 will get first access starting early November.
