iQOO 16 India Launch Confirmed: 8 Specs Reported So Far

iQOO fans in India have a big flagship to look forward to. The iQOO 16 is officially on its way to the country, and the brand has already started teasing it. The catch is simple: no launch date has been announced yet, so most of what you read about the phone right now comes from the China model and from leaks.

iQOO CEO Nipun Marya showed the phone at the Snapdragon event during India Mobile Congress 2026, which is how the India plan became official. Below is a clear split of what is confirmed and what is only reported. For more phones from the brand, browse our iQOO 16 coverage.

iQOO 16: Quick Specs Table

What Is Confirmed

Only two things are solid. First, the iQOO 16 is coming to India, as teased by iQOO itself. Second, the phone has already launched in China, so the hardware list is not a pure guess. Everything about the India variant, including its exact chipset naming, battery size and software, can still change.

Performance and Gaming

The headline is the new Qualcomm flagship chip, paired with fast LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. Reports also mention an AnTuTu score above 550,000, but that figure has no clear source, so treat it as unverified until reviews arrive. The Q4 gaming chip is meant to help with frame rates and touch response, which has long been an iQOO strength.

Display, Battery and Cameras

The reported 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED with a 165Hz refresh rate would make this one of the sharpest screens on an iQOO phone. The jump to an 8,400mAh battery is the more interesting change, since the iQOO 15 shipped with 7,000mAh. With 100W wired and 40W wireless charging, the phone looks built for heavy users who game for hours.

On the back, three 50MP cameras are reported, with one acting as a 3x periscope telephoto. That is a sensible mix for a gaming flagship that also wants to be a good everyday camera phone.

Expected Price in India

Pricing is the big unknown. The China base model is said to be around Rs 85,000 when converted, and the iQOO 15 currently starts from Rs 85,999 in India. That suggests a premium tag, but any figure today is speculation. We will update this page once iQOO announces a date and price.

What Is Not Confirmed

The India launch date, price, final RAM and storage options, colour availability, battery capacity and the software version for India are all unconfirmed. The AnTuTu number and the chip naming (Extreme Gen 6 versus Gen 6) also differ between reports. Wait for the official listing before making a purchase decision.

Quick Answers

Why it matters: India is one of the biggest markets for gaming-focused phones, and iQOO has built its name there on speed and value. The iQOO 16 looks like the brand’s most ambitious step yet, with a bigger battery, faster charging and a sharper display than the iQOO 15. If the India version keeps these specs, it will compete directly with other Snapdragon flagships launching this season, including the OnePlus 16 and Xiaomi 18 Pro. Keep an eye on the final price, because memory costs have pushed several recent phones higher than their predecessors.
