Every great romance needs an awkward first meeting. In What a Boss Wants, it happens in a hospital lobby, with a dropped bag and a very quick escape. New stills from MBN’s upcoming drama show how CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin and Oh Se Young first cross paths, and fans are already smiling.

What a Boss Wants : Overview

The Story in a Nutshell

Sung Hoon plays Kwon Do Hyuk, a chaebol boss with zero sense of taste. He sets out to find a mysterious woman whose voice he heard on an album. Oh Se Young plays Lee Eun Chae, the lead vocalist of an indie band, who becomes the only variable in his otherwise perfect life.\

Meet the Man Who Catches Her Bag

Lee Jung Shin plays Moon Tae Kyung, a pediatrician who is remarkably skilled at his job and thoughtful and caring. Whenever Eun Chae is in trouble, he’s the dependable one who steps in.

The Misunderstanding That Starts It All

The new stills show the first encounter:

1. Eun Chae rushes through a hospital lobby and collides with Tae Kyung.
2. He picks up her dropped bag and speaks to her in a friendly way.
3. She misreads the kind gesture, gets startled, and runs away.

It’s a classic rom-com setup, and a good reminder that first impressions can be completely wrong.

From Chance Meetings to a Shared Secret

After the lobby moment, the two keep running into each other through a series of chance encounters, and they slowly grow closer. Tae Kyung eventually learns Eun Chae’s secret: she leads a double life as “Soo,” the vocalist of the indie band India Red. One still shows her singing her heart out on stage and flashing a subtle smile at Tae Kyung in the audience. Another shows them sharing a meal, where she beams at his kind words and he smiles back with clear, warm interest.

Add Sung Hoon’s boss searching for the owner of a voice, and you have the makings of a love triangle built around a secret identity.
