What’s the Story?

Happy Anding follows Asura, a comedy trio that has spent 10 years chasing fame without finding it. Then a mysterious woman enters their lives, and the three start looking for new paths.

• Kang Tae Gu (Kang Hoon) leads the group. He has stayed out of loyalty to his team and love of comedy, but he’s now facing a reality he can’t ignore.
• Kim Nam Il (Cho Hyun Chul) is torn between his dreams and his 10-year relationship with Lee Na Yeon (Moon Hee).
• Han Jun Seo (Kim Jung Jin) is kind to his teammates but struggles to open his heart to anyone else.
• Go Eun Young (Lee Yi Dam), the trio’s devoted fan, shakes up their relationships. Her free-spirited sister Go Ji Young (Yoon Ga Yi) adds extra energy.

Director Jung Ji Hyun says everyone has had a time when they held on to a “reckless yet dazzling dream.” Writer Ahn Ah Reum asks whether it’s okay to throw yourself into something wholeheartedly at least once, even if the ending is a hello or a goodbye. This 2025 period drama is set in early Joseon, with Cha Joo-young as Queen Wongyeong and Lee Hyun-wook as Lee Bang-won, the future King Taejong. Lee Yi Dam plays Chae-ryeong, the queen’s former maid who becomes the king’s concubine, which strains a once-trusting bond.
