iQOO’s budget-flagship Neo series may be sitting out 2026 in India altogether, according to a new report. If accurate, it would mark the first time in years that the brand skips a fresh Neo launch in the country, a lineup that has typically served as iQOO’s answer to aggressive mid-range competition from Nothing, Realme and OnePlus.

The last Neo series phone to launch in India was the iQOO Neo10, unveiled back in May 2025. Since then, the company appears to have gone quiet on the sub-brand, and the new report suggests that silence isn’t accidental.

Why iQOO May Be Skipping the Neo Series This Year

Per the report, iQOO is recalibrating its overall smartphone portfolio strategy in response to rising component costs, a pressure being felt across the Android ecosystem this year. Rather than pushing out a new Neo device, the company is said to be redirecting its focus toward flagship products, where higher margins can better absorb increased manufacturing costs.

That would mean the iQOO Neo11, which already launched in China in October 2025, is unlikely to make its way to Indian shelves. The China-market Neo11 is built around a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with iQOO’s in-house Q2 gaming chip, a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a 7,500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, and a dual rear camera setup, specs that would have made it a strong contender in India’s gaming-phone segment had it arrived.

iQOO’s Focus Shifts to Other Segments

This doesn’t mean iQOO is slowing down in India overall. The company recently launched the iQOO 15R and is set to bring the iQOO Z11x to the Indian market imminently, suggesting its energy is going into the numbered flagship and budget Z-series lines instead of Neo. It’s a strategic bet that Indian buyers looking for a gaming-first mid-ranger will either move up to the flagship tier or settle for the Z-series, rather than wait on a Neo refresh.

Whether that bet pays off will depend on how rivals respond. iQOO’s parent company Vivo has historically used the Neo line to plug the gap between flagship pricing and mainstream mid-rangers, and an extended gap here leaves room for competitors to capture buyers who might otherwise have waited for a new Neo phone.
