Nothing Phone (4b) SoC Confirmed: Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Spotted on Geekbench

Just days after Nothing officially confirmed its July 7 launch date, the Phone (4b) has already given away its biggest secret. A Geekbench listing has surfaced, revealing the chipset, RAM, and benchmark scores for the device — and it tells a clear story about where Nothing is positioning its newest “b” series.

Nothing Phone (4b) SoC Confirmed: The Chipset Reveal

The listing, spotted under the codename A009P, confirms the Nothing Phone (4b) is launching with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 (SM6650), paired with 8GB of RAM, an Adreno 810 GPU, and Android 16 out of the box.

Benchmark Scores

The benchmarked unit scored 1,088 in the Geekbench 6 single-core test and 3,155 in the multi-core test, alongside an OpenCL score of 2,896 reflecting the Adreno 810 GPU’s graphics output.

For context on real-world performance, the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip on the Oppo K13 scored 994 single-core and 3,082 multi-core, putting the Phone (4b) slightly ahead of the chip’s baseline — suggesting marginally better memory tuning or thermal configuration.

Filling the CMF Phone 3 Pro’s Shoes

This launch isn’t happening in isolation. Nothing’s own co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, has confirmed that surging memory and storage costs forced the company to scrap a planned successor model — which industry reports widely tie to the now-cancelled CMF Phone 3 Pro. The Phone (4b) effectively steps into that vacancy.

We covered the launch announcement and the brand’s positioning logic in detail in our piece on the Nothing Phone (4b) July 7 launch date, where Nothing’s co-founder explained the company’s revised naming convention — numbers for generations, letters for segments.

Where It Slots In

This chipset choice confirms what many suspected: the Phone (4b) sits clearly below the Phone (4a), which we detailed when its full specs and ₹31,999 price were confirmed. With expected pricing of ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, roughly ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 lower than the Phone (4a), the 4b is shaping up to be Nothing’s most affordable entry point yet — though, as we’ve seen with the 4a’s recent flash sale discounts, prices in this segment tend to move fast post-launch too.

What’s Next

A single rear camera, signature transparent design, and Glyph-style lighting are all still expected, based on Nothing’s own teasers. For verified specs straight from the source closer to launch, keep an eye on Nothing’s official website and the live Flipkart microsite.

With benchmarks now confirmed, the only real mystery left is pricing — and that answer arrives July 7.
