Performance & Software Updates

Nothing promises 3 Android OS updates and 6 years of security patches—impressive longevity for a budget device. Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 arrives in early 2026. Uniquely, this phone comes preloaded with Instagram and Facebook, though they can be uninstalled.
Essential Space AI Innovation
The Phone (3a) Lite introduces Essential Space, an AI-powered hub for note-taking, ideas, and inspirations. Press the Essential Key to capture content, long-press for voice notes, or double-tap to access saved content—a productivity feature rarely seen in this price segment.
Camera & Design
The 50MP main camera features a large 1/1.57″ Samsung sensor with f/1.88 aperture and EIS, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lens. The phone shoots 4K video at 30fps and supports 10x digital zoom.
Available in White and Black with Panda Glass protection, the device weighs 199g and measures 8.3mm thin. IP54 dust and splash resistance adds durability, though note that no charger is included in the box despite 33W fast charging support.
