Tires Season 4 Renewed at Netflix: Shane Gillis’ Workplace Comedy Keeps Rolling

The crew at Valley Forge Automotive is not going anywhere. Netflix has renewed its Shane Gillis and Steven Gerben-led workplace comedy Tires for Season 4. The renewal comes just weeks after Season 3 debuted on the platform, off the back of the show’s strongest-ever performance on Netflix’s global charts. The announcement was made on August 31, 2026.

What Is Tires About?

Tires follows Will (Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain who attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis).

In Season 3, while settling in as part owners, Will and Shane struggle to keep Valley Forge Automotive afloat. Just as their business and friendship hit a breaking point, Will and Shane look to their past to figure out the future.

From YouTube to Netflix: The Origin Story

The workplace comedy started as a scrappy passion project — Gillis uploaded a pilot to YouTube in 2019 before the trio financed and produced a six-episode first season independently in Pennsylvania. Netflix picked up the show for distribution in 2024 and then renewed and funded future seasons.

The Season 4 renewal is also part of a two-year renewal for Shane Gillis’ workplace comedy (Seasons 3 and 4), made last year.

Creative Team & Executive Producers

John McKeever co-created, directs, and executive produces, while star Steve Gerben also co-created and executive produces the series. Tires is executive produced by Gillis, Gerben, and McKeever.

Why Did Netflix Renew So Early?

The numbers tell the full story. The current third season of Tires earned its highest-ever ranking on the Global Top 10 English TV list, reaching #5 the week of August 17, 2026, the season’s first full week following its August 13 release.

In Season 3’s second week, it had 2.8 million views with 18.8 million hours viewed, which is an increase from Season 2’s debut of 2.4 million views and 11.9 million hours viewed.

Tires had been an enticing business proposition from the start — it originated as an independently financed first season made at a very reasonable cost, which Netflix acquired. The series has kept its modest budget framework, which is important at Netflix where renewal decisions are made largely on a cost vs. performance basis.

Since its 2024 debut, Tires has amassed more than 45 million views across three seasons.

Gillis said in a press release: “It’s cool to get to make another season of Tires.”

Netflix’s VP of U.S. Comedy Tracey Pakosta said: “Tires continues to deliver the unapologetic comedy and authentic point of view Shane, John and Steve’s fans know and love, and Season 3 hitting its highest-ever Top 10 ranking proves this fandom just keeps growing.”

She added: “We love working with this team and can’t wait to see what’s next for the Valley Forge crew in Season 4.”

Shane Gillis & Netflix: A Bigger Partnership

The renewal is just one part of a much bigger relationship between Gillis and Netflix. Earlier this year, Gillis and McKeever signed a creative partnership with Netflix to develop new shows and movies; Gillis will also film two new stand-up specials as part of the overall deal.
