Netflix’s “Pride & Prejudice” Gets a December 2026 Release Date: First-Look Photos of Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden as Elizabeth and Darcy

Jane Austen fans, mark the calendar. Netflix has confirmed its long-awaited 6-part “Pride & Prejudice” adaptation arrives on December 3, 2026 — and the new first-look images finally give us Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy in the flesh.

Pride & Prejudice: A new take on a story we already love

Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen’s Regency-era classic, has been reimagined many times before — the 1995 BBC series with Colin Firth, the 2005 film with Keira Knightley. This time, Netflix hands the story to director Euros Lyn (“Heartstopper,” “Doctor Who”), with Emma Corrin stepping into their first role as executive producer alongside Lyn, Laura Lankester, and “Heartstopper” author-adjacent producer Dolly Alderton.

Netflix’s official logline keeps it simple: wealthy bachelors move into the neighbourhood, and the five Bennet sisters must navigate love, family, and society’s expectations — while Elizabeth’s clash with the proud Mr. Darcy slowly turns into something else entirely.

Who’s who in the cast?

Beyond the leads, the ensemble is stacked: Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Daryl McCormack as the charming Mr. Bingley, Louis Partridge as the roguish Mr. Wickham, Rhea Norwood as Lydia, and Fiona Shaw as the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourgh. Jamie Demetriou brings comic energy as Mr. Collins, while newcomers Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery make their screen debuts as Mary and Kitty Bennet respectively.

The new photos show the cast in full Regency dress, moody countryside backdrops included, and confirm the tone Netflix is going for: lush, character-driven, and faithful to Austen’s wit rather than a modern reinvention.

With awards-season heavyweights like Colman and Shaw alongside rising stars Corrin and Lowden, this adaptation is shaping up as one of Netflix’s biggest period-drama bets yet.
