What Is the Story?

The film is set in 1980s Secunderabad and follows the Savaari, a marginalized nomadic tribe living in a slum. They are deprived of basic rights, identity and recognition, and they live under the control of a feudal landlord, Shikanja Malik. Sammakka is one of the few people willing to challenge him.

When Sammakka’s son Jadal returns home, he draws inspiration from his mother’s courage and takes up the fight for his community’s dignity. His demand for basic identity documents threatens the ambitions of Shikanja’s son Vikram, triggering a fierce conflict full of rival factions and manipulation.
