Marcelo Brozovic extends contract with Inter Milan until 2026

Marcelo Brozovic has extended his contract with Inter Milan, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. The midfielder has reached an agreement with the club on all fronts, and has now put pen to paper on a brand new deal with them.

A number of top clubs tried to sign him, with only six months remaining on his previous deal. However, he only wanted to stay on with Inter, and he has now sealed the deal. Brozovic becomes the latest to extend his stay after the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella to renew his deal this season.

Inter Milan extend Marcelo Brozovic’s contract

The Croatian might be one of the most underrated midfielders in the world. And his absence was certainly felt as the team stumbled to a 2-0 loss against Sassuolo without him in the team.

While he might not provide too many goals or assists to the team, he brings composure and structure into the line-up, which is invaluable.

Marcelo Brozovic’s new deal will extend his stay until June 2026, and the official statement confirming the same is expected soon. He will be 33 by the time his next deal runs out with the Nerazzurri.

Brozovic has been at Inter Milan since 2016, and has since established himself as a key player in the team. He has earned 70 caps for the Croatian national team since making his debut in 2014 as well.

Inter Milan are still in the race for the Scudetto, competing against their rivals AC Milan as they try to defend their league title this year.
