Northeast United FC vs Bengaluru FC Match Preview, Prediction, Timings, Lineups, Teams, and How to Watch

Two teams, two wins each, and a Guwahati crowd ready to roar. On Friday night, NorthEast United host Bengaluru FC in a game that could shape the early ISL table.

Northeast United FC vs Bengaluru FC: Match Info

Team Preview

NorthEast United are flying. They beat Mohun Bagan in their opener, then thrashed Kerala Blasters 4-1 in Guwahati, with Alaaeddine Ajaraie scoring twice. That win took them to the top of the table at the time. Last season they finished ninth, so this start is a real statement.

Bengaluru FC are just as sharp. They beat Sporting Club Delhi 3-2 after conceding in the 89th minute of a thriller, then beat Chennaiyin 2-0 on a rainy night, with Ryan Williams and Mihailo Perovic scoring. Pep Muñoz’s side have the cleaner, more controlled look right now.

Head-to-Head

Bengaluru have historically had the upper hand in this fixture. As of early 2025, the record stood at 8 wins for Bengaluru, 7 draws and 2 for NorthEast.

Lineups

Official XIs aren’t out yet. Teams are normally confirmed about an hour before kick-off, so check the clubs’ social pages on match day.

Prediction

Two in-form sides, a home crowd and Bengaluru’s strong record make this tight. I’m leaning towards a 1-1 draw, with Bengaluru the slightly likelier winner if it opens up. That’s an informed guess, not a certainty.
