Kerala Blasters vs Mumbai City Match Preview, Prediction, Timings, Lineups, Teams, and How to Watch

Few things beat a Kochi night with the Manjappada in full voice. This Sunday, the yellow wall gets its first home game of the new Indian Super League season, and it’s a good one.

Kerala Blasters vs Mumbai City: Match Info

The Stadium Question

Ticket sales and match preparations were paused by a rent dispute with the Greater Cochin Development Authority. The GCDA says the club approached it late, while the club insists the game will go ahead in Kochi. Check the official Kerala Blasters site before you plan your trip. onmanorama

Team Preview

Kerala Blasters are in a new era under UAE-based owners. They opened with a 2-0 win away at Inter Kashi, then conceded four in a 4-1 loss at NorthEast United. The defence needs fixing fast. onmanorama

Mumbai City arrive under new coach Manolo Márquez, a former India boss, after finishing third last season. They won both recent meetings 1-0, in the Super Cup and the ISL. khelnow

Lineups

Official XIs aren’t out yet. Teams are normally confirmed about an hour before kick-off, so watch the club pages on match day.

Prediction

Mumbai’s recent edge and steadier start make them slight favourites, but a loud Kochi crowd could easily swing it. My call is a tight game, 1-2 or 1-1. It’s a guess, not a certainty.
