Design, Ergonomics, and Build Quality
Aesthetically, the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE inherits the beloved, symmetrical silhouette pioneered by the original PRO Wireless and subsequently refined by the PRO X SUPERLIGHT series. This ensures a zero-learning-curve transition for long-time Logitech users.
The mouse weighs in at an astonishingly nimble 61 grams, striking the perfect balance between feather-light agility and structural rigidity. The exterior shell, available in striking finishes like the signature “Lunar Eclipse,” is fortified to withstand the rigors of intense tournament play without compromising on its lightweight nature.
Underneath, large, zero-additive PTFE glides ensure a buttery-smooth, frictionless glide across any premium mousepad, minimising physical drag and reducing wrist fatigue during marathon gaming sessions.
The SUPERSTRIKE Innovation: A Revolution in Clicking
The absolute centerpiece of this device is the titular SUPERSTRIKE technology, an innovation that completely overhauls traditional mouse inputs. Logitech has boldly replaced standard mechanical microswitches with their proprietary Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS).
This groundbreaking mechanism utilizes inductive analog sensing, allowing players to meticulously fine-tune their click actuation points. Much like the rapid-trigger technology seen in modern enthusiast keyboards, gamers can now decide exactly how early or late their mouse clicks register, tailoring the sensitivity to their specific gaming style.
Furthermore, this system integrates real-time haptic feedback actuators. The moment a click registers, the mouse delivers a crisp, tactile vibration, granting users unparalleled physical confirmation of their inputs even in the most chaotic, high-pressure in-game scenarios.
By combining analog sensing with immediate haptics, the Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE practically eliminates switch debounce delays, reducing overall click latency by up to 30 milliseconds compared to conventional esports mice. Paired with a TTC Silver mechanical encoder for ultra-precise scroll wheel steps, every physical interaction with the mouse feels incredibly deliberate and refined.
Unmatched Sensor Precision and LIGHTSPEED Wireless
At the heart of the SUPERSTRIKE beats the upgraded HERO 2 Optical Sensor, which pushes the boundaries of modern tracking precision to staggering new heights. The sensor is capable of an astronomical maximum DPI of 44,000, a flawless tracking speed of 888 IPS, and a jaw-dropping 88G of acceleration.
This guarantees zero smoothing, filtering, or acceleration at any sensitivity level, translating the most erratic and lightning-fast flicks into pixel-perfect on-screen movements.
Complementing this raw sensor power is Logitech’s industry-leading LIGHTSPEED wireless technology. Upgraded specifically for the demands of the modern competitive scene, the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE now supports a blistering 8000 Hz wireless polling rate.
By reporting its position to the PC 8,000 times per second, the mouse ensures near-zero latency, delivering wired-level responsiveness and rock-solid connection reliability even in the most RF-congested LAN tournament environments.
Battery Life, Customization, and Software
Despite the immense power draw typically associated with an 8000 Hz polling rate and built-in haptic actuators, Logitech has optimised the power efficiency to deliver up to 90 hours of continuous battery life on a single charge. Recharging is handled via a lightweight, flexible USB-C to USB-A cable, allowing you to play uninterrupted while tethered.
Customisation is extensive through the robust Logitech G HUB software. Users can remap the 5 programmable buttons, finely adjust the haptic feedback intensity, tune the precise actuation depth of the HITS switches, and tweak the HERO 2 sensor’s lift-off distance.
Crucially, all these hyper-specific settings can be saved directly to the mouse’s onboard memory, meaning you can plug into a tournament PC and have your exact preferences instantly loaded without needing to install additional software.
The Verdict of Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE
The Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE is an absolute triumph of peripheral engineering. By rethinking the very nature of mouse switches and introducing customisable analogue actuation with haptic feedback, Logitech has created a tool that tangibly enhances player confidence, adaptation, and speed. It is an expensive investment, but for those who measure their success in milliseconds, it is an indispensable weapon.
