La Liga announce Netflix docu-series to be released in 2024

La Liga and Netflix have confirmed that a docu series focusing on the league will be developed in 2024. The series will be shot over the 2023/24 season, and will be the first sports series of its kind to premier on the streaming platform.

There is a lot that goes on away from the football pitch, which plays an important part in the success of a team. And the series will make for an in-depth look at what goes on behind the scenes of football clubs.

La Liga and Netflix announce series partnership for 2023/24

Formula 1: Drive to Survive and Break Point are some of the other similar sports series that have gained a lot of popularity amongst people. And a similar production for the Spanish top flight will give users the ability to appreciate things that go on in professional football at a much deeper level.

”For LaLiga, to be the star of Netflix’s first sports series in Spain is a unique opportunity to take our football beyond the fans, to share with the world the excitement of the sport we love, and the chance for all our fans to see the Spanish league from a totally different angle,” added Óscar Mayo, Executive Director of La Liga.
