Amidst the excitement surrounding “Kushi,” all eyes are on its box office performance, considering the recent challenges faced by both Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Their previous films, “Liger” and “Shaakuntalam,” received mixed responses, making “Kushi” a crucial endeavour to regain their footing. Audience preferences have evolved, focusing more on content, packaging, and overall appeal rather than the outcome of an actor’s last film.

Vijay Deverakonda’s Insights

Vijay Deverakonda, ever candid, has shared his perspective on the underwhelming performance of his previous films. He believes that the scripts he chose were indeed exceptional, but their execution faltered, resulting in disappointing outcomes. Vijay compares this to an inside joke among friends that fails to translate if the delivery and timing are not precise. He cites films like “Liger,” “NOTA,” and “Dear Comrade” as instances where the execution did not match the potential of the scripts.

“Kushi” undeniably succeeds in delivering a pleasing romantic musical, anchored by the charming performances of its lead actors. The film caters to the audience’s desire for entertainment and serves as a reminder of the power of love to overcome obstacles.
