A Quick Refresher on the Original
The 2006 comedy, Khosla Ka Ghosla, was Dibakar Banerjee’s directorial debut. It follows Kamal Kishore Khosla (Anupam Kher), a middle-class man whose dream of building a home collapses when a crooked property dealer, Kishan Khurana (Boman Irani), grabs his land and demands Rs 15 lakh to give it back.
With the system failing him, Khosla’s sons Bunty and Cherry team up with Asif and a theatre troupe. Their plan is an elaborate fake land deal that lets the greedy dealer trap himself, and the family ends up reclaiming their land with his own money. It’s smart, funny and deeply relatable, which is exactly why people still love it.
What Anupam Kher Has Coming Up?
Kher’s calendar is busy. After directing Tanvi The Great, he’ll appear in Sooraj Barjatya’s romantic drama Yeh Prem Mol Liya, with Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, releasing on November 27, 2026. He is also part of Prabhas’ upcoming Fauzi, expected in March 2027.
