Kerala Blasters Sign Guinea Striker Momo Yansané

Kerala Blasters FC have strengthened their attack for the new season by signing Guinea international Momo Yansané. The 29-year-old centre-forward is the latest foreign addition under head coach Ashley Westwood, following the arrival of winger Andre Green.

Player Profile

Who is Momo Yansané?

Yansané has played in many countries. He has had spells at Pyunik, Omonia Aradippou, Sumqayıt, Torpedo Kutaisi, HNK Rijeka and FC Sheriff, along with earlier stints in Belarus, Russia and Morocco. He won the Moldovan Super Liga and Moldovan Cup with Sheriff in 2021-22. He has also represented Guinea at senior and U20 level.

What He Brings

His record last season shows a forward who finds the net across different leagues and conditions. He scored 8 goals in 26 appearances across the Armenian and Cypriot top flights and their cup competitions. He can lead the line, and his experience in tough European leagues should help him adapt to the physical demands of the ISL.

Why It Matters

Kerala Blasters have been rebuilding since a disappointing 2025-26 season and a recent change in ownership. Signing a proven goal-scorer fixes a clear need up front, and it follows earlier moves such as goalkeeper Amrinder Singh joining from Odisha FC. With the ISL season starting on October 10, Westwood is assembling a squad that blends Indian talent with experienced overseas players.
