Gaurav Khanna Had No Idea Akanksha Chamola Would Reveal Their Divorce on Lock Upp 2 — Friend Anuj Sachdeva Spills the Truth

The Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola divorce story just got a fresh and rather uncomfortable twist. While fans were still processing Akanksha’s very public confession on the Lock Upp 2 premiere, close friend and fellow actor Anuj Sachdeva has now revealed something that changes the entire narrative — Gaurav had absolutely no idea this was coming.

Gaurav Khanna: Key Details

What Anuj Sachdeva Revealed

Speaking to journalist Vickey Lalwani, Anuj Sachdeva — a close friend of Gaurav — admitted he himself was unaware the couple had been living separately for the last nine months. After the news broke publicly, he reached out to Gaurav directly and found that the Anupamaa actor was completely blindsided by Akanksha’s decision to go public about their marriage on a reality show platform.

Sachdeva was also pointed in his observation about Akanksha’s comment that she wanted to “enjoy her freedom.” He made it clear that Gaurav had genuinely loved her and given her everything she wanted, and questioned whether going public on the show was perhaps a strategy to generate more attention around her participation. It was a frank, unfiltered take — the kind that rarely surfaces in the carefully managed world of Indian television.

The Divorce Story So Far

For those catching up, Akanksha had announced on Lock Upp 2 that the two were parting ways mutually after being separated for nearly a year, primarily over differing views on having children. While she said there was no bitterness between them and that both families had largely hoped for a reconciliation, she later broke down inside the house, calling the revelation “devastating.”

Gaurav, to his credit, has responded with nothing but grace and support publicly — which, given the circumstances, says a great deal about the man.
