Cocktail 2 — All Key Details at a Glance

First Song Jab Talak Drops April 8 — Mark Your Calendars!

Shahid Kapoor announced through social media that Jab Talak, the first single from the movie, will be released on April 8. The song already got fans buzzing after its teaser glimpse — the short clip shows Kriti, Shahid, and Rashmika dancing at a beach party, drawing instant comparisons to the iconic Tumhi Ho Bandhu from the original film.

Social media reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Fans flooded comment sections with praise, with one user writing “#Cocktail2 jab talak BANGER IS HERE!” while another called the teaser “so fun and breezy.”

A Spiritual Sequel, Not a Direct Follow-Up

Here’s something important to note —the movie is not a direct sequel to the 2012 film but rather a spiritual successor to it. Kriti Sanon herself clarified, “The tone and atmosphere are in a comparable realm, yet the narrative and characters are entirely distinct. There’s no direct connection to Cocktail aside from the fact that it encompasses a mix — a cocktail of emotions, camaraderie, drama, music, and stunning locations.”

Directed by Homi Adajania — who helmed the original — and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the film explores modern friendship and love in a triangle format.

Why It Is One of 2026’s Most Awaited Films

With a confirmed release date, growing buzz, and a visually appealing presentation, the movie is shaping up to be a major Bollywood release in 2026. The combination of a proven director, a blockbuster production house, and three of Bollywood’s most bankable stars makes this one impossible to ignore.

June 19 can’t come soon enough!
