Bollywood Just Raised the Bar — Welcome To The Jungle Trailer Drops on a Rs 1.50 Crore Jungle Set and It’s the Biggest Launch in Years

When was the last time a Bollywood trailer launch felt like an event in itself? Welcome To The Jungle is about to change that — and the makers are making absolutely sure you feel the heat before the film even hits screens.

Welcome To The Jungle: Key Details

Welcome To The Jungle: A Trailer Launch Like No Other

Akshay Kumar and producer Firoz Nadiadwala are leaving no stone unturned to make it a special launch event. The makers spent over Rs 1.50 crore on the trailer launch, creating a massive jungle setup at YRF Studios — complete with waterfalls — to offer a unique experience that perfectly blends with the film’s theme.

Think about that for a second. A Rs 1.50 crore set just for a trailer launch. In a world where most Bollywood promotions are press junkets in a hotel ballroom, this is a bold, refreshing statement of intent.

The team blocked the entire studio for the event, and the film’s mega-ensemble cast of 30 actors are all expected to be present — marking the very first promotional activity for the film. Usually trailer launches happen at multiplexes, but the Welcome To The Jungle team is doing it their way — bigger, wilder, and on their own turf.

It is undoubtedly one of the biggest trailer launches in the post-2020 era.

The Film Itself: A Comedy Franchise Reloaded

Welcome To The Jungle is the third installment of the iconic Welcome franchise — a series that has had audiences in splits since the 2007 original. Directed by Ahmad Khan, the film boasts one of Hindi cinema’s most stacked comedy ensembles in recent memory, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jackie Shroff, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, and many more.

This level of multi-star comedy casting is a throwback to a much-loved tradition in Bollywood. As Wikipedia notes in its overview of Hindi comedy cinema, ensemble comedies with overlapping comedic tracks have historically delivered some of the genre’s biggest hits — and the Welcome franchise fits that template perfectly.
