Haaland scores the first goal of Bundesliga as they resume the 2019-20 season

All football matches across the globe have been suspended since March due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Bundesliga is the first major football league to resume the season.

The Coronavirus hit Bundesliga 2019-20 season resumed today with Borussia Dortmund taking on Schalke in Revierderby. Dortmund’s young sensation Haaland has resumed from exactly where he left the season.

Haaland scored the first goal of the Bundesliga as it resumed the 2019-20 season. Borussia Dortmund won the match 4-0 against Schalke with goals from Erling Haaland, Raphael Guerreiro (two) and Thorgan Hazard.

Erling Braut Haaland now has 13 goals in his first 12 Dortmund appearances. It’s 10 Bundesliga goals in nine appearances (and just six starts). He has scored on his Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, Champions League and Revierderby debuts for Dortmund. That’s some incredible goal-scoring records.

The match was played behind the closed door. It looked odd and obviously the players too felt odd playing in empty stadiums. But it’s better to play in empty stadiums than nothing, right?

Let’s hope Serie A, Premier League and LaLiga are also able to resume their seasons like Bundesliga did. It’s been far too long to stay away from football.

The Coronavirus pandemic has played spoilsport and has halted all the major football leagues since March. But things are beginning to brighten up as Bundesliga is all set to return as early as next weekend.

Premier League has also followed the same path and have placed “Project Restart” into action. They hope to resume the 2019-20 season from 1st June. The UK government has announced that professional sport will not be staged in England until 1st June at the earliest.

As the major football leagues are about to resume, betting which has become very popular nowadays would once again come to the forefront. It is an ongoing dialogue and we’ve been talking to the authorities about the conditions in which we could get the Premier League back up and running and taking all that advice on board.”

The Premier League is committed to finishing the 2019-20 season, with all 20 clubs behind playing the remaining games. It’s obvious that the clubs will want to play the matches and finish the season rather than letting the current league table standing or points-per-game method to decide the European spots and relegation and promotion, like the French League.

Ligue 1 decided to end their season abruptly and used the points-per-game method to award PSG the Ligue 1 title. In case of Premier League, Liverpool already has one hand on the trophy. They have a 25-point lead at the top and need just two wins to end their 30-year long wait to win the Premier League title.

The thing which is of utmost concern for the clubs of the Premier League is to decide the European spots and promotion and relegation. So every club wants to do this in a fair way by playing the remaining games, preferably not on neutral grounds. They want to follow the previously made schedule of the Premier League.

Realme’s Smart TV and SmartWatch are arriving on May 25

Realme announced that they will launch a total of 8 products in China on May 25. The electronics will include smartphones to a smart TV. This time Realme India has also revealed in their official website that they are going to launch the first Smart TV of the brand and a new smartwatch. In China, Realme will launch a gaming version of the Realme X50 series dubbed as Realme X50 Pro Player(Edition).

Realme India will launch the Realme Smart TV and Smartwatch on May 25, 12:30 PM. The launch event will be streamed on Realme’s official Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels. Most probably Realme will launch only two new gadgets in India this time.

The exact and full details of the smart TV and Smartwatch has not been revealed officially but we do know that one of the colour option of the smartwatch is black. Madhav Seth had shared a teaser video of the Realme Watch which shows the black colour of the watch.

A leak from last month revealed that Realme Watch will have at least four color options – Black, White, Yellow, and Blue.

The smartwatch will sport a square-shaped LCD measuring 1.4″ diagonally and have a resolution of 320×320 pixel resolution. It will run a custom OS and pack a 160 mAh battery capable of offering seven-day endurance with 24-hour heart rate monitoring.

According to the rumors the Realme TV is expected to arrive in two sizes – 43″ and 55″ – and is rumored to run Android TV with Netflix support. In a press note sent to the media said that it will launch “other accessories” on May 25, which could be a new smartphone, power bank, Buds Wireless Pro and Buds Air Neo TWS earphones. Realme is also expected to unveil the Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom smartphones on May 25 in China.

The Taiwanese OEM has a huge portfolio when it comes to premium laptops and it’s ZenBook series is indeed one of the most popular one. Asus has always kept its laptop series updated with latest processors and specs for consumers, and so they will do with the ZenBook UX425.

The company indeed plans to release ZenBook UX325 and UX425 laptops, as mentioned in a press release published on April 6, 2020. As per the press release, the new ZenBook UX425 will measure 13.9 mm thin and weigh under 1.15 kg light.

The reliable tipster @_rogame has brought the info to light and also added that the ZenBook UX425 will feature FHD display with 450 nits brightness and ultra-low power consumption of just 1W. Also, the display will have greater than 90% screen-to-body ratio along with IR camera for faster login i.e. Windows Hello recognition.

He also specifies that there will be both Intel and AMD variants of the laptop, stating that there will be AMD Ryzen 5 4500U, Ryzen 7 4700U and Intel Core i7-1065G7 processors equipped on the laptop. With time more details will hopefully be leaked and we can see more CPU variants or even dedicated GPU support as well.

The 8 core APU which was heavily leaked for last few weeks now seen in live photos, according to Videocardz, the Renoir APU for desktop is the final version and soon will be launched in market. The image clearly depicts the APU to be the “AMD Ryzen 7 4700G”.

Based on Zen 2 architecture, the new 8 core APU is fabricated on 7 nm process that makes headroom for accomodating 8 cores in the chip. Igor’sLAB leaked a list of the upcoming Renoir APUs and the specs and now with the live image the OPN code “100-000000146” matches as well, so the specs are indeed real.

This is the first time we will be seeing an 8 core APU in the market coming with SMT support as well. The Ryzen 7 4700G APU features a 3.6 GHz base clock and a high boost clock speed of up to 4.4 GHz along with 65 W TDP.

On the iGPU front, the APU has 8 graphical Compute Units on board, much like what we saw on Ryzen 4000U mobile APUs, that can clock up to 2.1 GHz, which is pretty high. Videocardz also says that 8 CUs correlates with 512 stream processors.

According to Igor’s LAB info, there will actually be multiple Renoir APUs with 4, 6 and 8 cores with various iGPU power. Even though there are low graphical CUs, the 7 nm process helps to bring out the maximum performance out of these APUs with lower power consumption.

Videocardz believes that that the AMD Ryzen 7 4700G will be a good competitor to Intel’s new Core i7-10700 as both of them feature 8 cores and 16 threads along with 65 W TDP. It will interesting to see when AMD launches these APUs in the market but its clear they are coming anytime soon.

As per the company’s description, Lumen is a fully dynamic global illumination solution. And it can react on scene and light changes. This technology can render diffuse illuminations at a large scale from millimeter to kilometer for a far better environment dealing.

“Artists and designers can create more dynamic scenes using Lumen, for example, changing the sun angle for time of day, turning on a flashlight, or blowing a hole in the ceiling, and indirect lighting will adapt accordingly.”

The Unreal Engine 5 will be available in preview in early 2021 and full release at the last of 2021. The company informs Fortnite will be the first game to get Unreal Engine 5 treatment.

Moto Edge+ 5G launching in India on May 19

Motorola released the Edge series including the Edge+ last month, but then there was no news about the India launch of the device. Later on we came to know that the flagship Moto Edge+ will be available in India soon and most probably in the month of May.

Now Flipkart has set up a promotion page for the launch of Moro Edge plus which is on May 19, 12pm. The page shows some basic details of the device like the waterfall-display, dual speaker, camera resolution, fast charging, and 5G connectivity.

Specifications of Moto Edge+ 5G:

The global version of Motorola Edge+ 5G comes with a curved 6.7″ FHD+ OLED waterfall-display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification.

Motorola Edge+ 5G may come with a triple rear camera setup including a 108MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and 0.8-micron pixel size like the global version. The main camera is capable of recording 6K videos at 30fps. It is assisted by a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 117-degree field of view. There is also an 8MP telephoto camera that comes with OIS support and provides a 3x optical zoom output. Motorola has also provided a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor in this device. There is a 25MP camera on the front with an f/2.0 aperture and 0.9-micron pixel size housed in a punch-hole cut at the top left corner of the display.

Motorola Edge+ 5G features the Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 SoC packing alongside 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. There is a non-expandable 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage on the phone.

Motorola Edge+ 5G is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.

Interestingly, the Motorola Edge+ retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The global version of Motorola Edge+ 5G is available in Smoky Sangria and Thunder Grey colour options.

Finally, at the 2020 NVIDIA GTC keynote, NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang has launched the new 7 nm based Ampere GPU architecture. Instead of launching the GeForce RTX 3000 gaming GPUs, NVIDIA has launched the high performing A100 GPU that is the company;s new 7nm GPU offering.

The newer GPUs by the company will be based on the same architecture as Huang clarified that “there’s great overlap in the architecture, but not in the configuration.” From GeForce gaming GPUs to Quadro professional GPUs, the same tech behind the A100 GPU unveiled will be used in future.

NVIDIA’s new NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPU is based on the new NVIDIA Ampere GPU architecture and builds upon the capabilities of the prior NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPU. It adds many new features and delivers significantly faster performance for HPC, AI, and data analytics workloads. 

A100 provides strong scaling for GPU compute and DL applications running in single– and multi-GPU workstations, servers, clusters, cloud data centres, systems at the edge, and supercomputers. The A100 GPU enables building elastic, versatile, and high throughput data centres.

The new NVIDIA A100 GPU fabricated on the TSMC 7nm N7 manufacturing process, the NVIDIA Ampere architecture-based GA100 GPU that powers A100 includes 54.2 billion transistors with a die size of 826 mm2. The new chip also features the third generation of Tensor Cores that have a new numerical format called Tensor Float 32 (TF32) replacing the older FP32.

The NVIDIA A100 GPU has 40 GB of high-speed HBM2 memory with 1555 GB/sec of memory bandwidth—a 73% increase compared to Tesla V100. The A100 GPU has significantly more on-chip memory including a 40 MB Level 2 (L2) cache—nearly 7x larger than V100.

The new Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) feature allows the A100 Tensor Core GPU to be securely partitioned into as many as seven separate GPU Instances for CUDA applications, providing multiple users with separate GPU resources to accelerate their applications.

GA100 Full GPU with 128 SMs. The A100 Tensor Core GPU has 108 SMs.

The third-generation of NVIDIA high-speed NVLink interconnect implemented in A100 GPUs and the new NVIDIA NVSwitch significantly enhances multi-GPU scalability, performance, and reliability. NVIDIA is supposed to be offering 8 A100 GPUs combined in a single DGX A100 node with a peak performance of 5 PFLOPs of computing performance for US$200,000.

The A100 GPU will also support PCI Express Gen 4 with faster bandwidth than before and the A100 GPUs will be able to connect to PCIe 4.0-capable CPUs, currently on AMD Zen-2 based CPUs. It seems strange that NVIDIA did not launch the new RTX 3000 gaming GPUs, well they might be waiting for its competitor AMD to launch RDNA2 based gaming GPUs first.
