Here are the two budget Wi-Fi 6 routers that you can buy right now

0

Wi-Fi 6 is the new standard for Wi-Fi technology and is the future that makes it much more reliable besides making faster as always. Wi-Fi 6 devices still work over the previously allocated 2.4 and 5 GHz bands but with lower latencies and consistent speeds.

As IoT devices have increased in the last couple of years, the use of data by simultaneous devices has increased considerably. This is the reason why Wi-Fi 6 came into play while still providing you access to speeds up to 10Gbps.

If you are a tech savy guy with a lot of devices at your home then Wi-Fi 6 can be game-changing for you as Wi-Fi 6 has the ability to deliver a higher quality of experience for more devices on a network than the predecessor Wi-Fi 5.

By implementing OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology, it increases network capacity and efficiency when the traffic is high to prevent bandwidth wastage. This helps to reduce lag and have great Wi-Fi experience when you have a lot of devices connected at your home that are Wi-Fi 6 compliant.

So this is the reason why Wi-Fi 6 routers are still very expensive, but worth it if you have a lot of devices and all or some of them are Wi-Fi 6 compliant. Also, do note that you should opt for a Wi-Fi 6 router only if you have a good internet connection like 200Mbps or more, else you won’t be able to notice a huge change in speeds.

Here are the two budget Wi-Fi 6 routers in India which you can buy right now:

FC Goa has confirmed the signing of James Donachie

FC Goa has signed James Donachie from A-League side Newcastle Jets in a one-year-long loan deal. The Australian defender becomes the 9th signing of the season ahead of the 2020/21 season. FC Goa has confirmed the deal in their twitter handle this morning.

James Donachie is a product of Brisbane Roar’s youth academy. He was awarded Australia’s Youth League Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12. Donachie made his first big move to Melbourne Victory after spending 5 years at Brisbane roar. He has signed a three years contract with Newcastle Jets earlier this year.

“I am thrilled to be coming to Goa and India. This should be a great opportunity and challenge for me. I will be playing for a club that’s not only looking to challenge for the title but will also be playing at the highest level in Asia – the AFC Champions League. I feel this move comes at the right time for me. I can’t wait to set sail to India and get on to the ground.”- Donachie stated after joining FC Goa.

Donachie is just 27 years old. He is a very experienced defender as well. He has won A-League three times. Two with Brisbane Roar in the 2011/12 and 2013/14 seasons and the last one with Melbourne Victory in the 2017/18 campaign. Could Suresh Raina Make A Comeback To CSK Camp In IPL 2020?

Earlier before the tournament started, experienced campaigner Suresh Raina had announced that he would not be taking part in this edition of the IPL owing to personal reasons.

But after three games, the latest news has indicated that Raina could make a comeback, provided the team management gives the approval. This comes after successive losses to Rajasthan and Delhi, where CSK find themselves 5th in the team standings with an NRR of -0.840.

Raina 4 Could Suresh Raina Make A Comeback To CSK Camp In IPL 2020?

But, CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan has ruled out any such move, stating that the current crop of players will be the ones to put back the team to winning ways. He is quoted as saying, “See, we cannot look at Raina because he made himself unavailable and we respect his decision and his space. We are not thinking about it.” Chennai have also not benefitted from the loss of Ambati Rayudu due to a hamstring injury.

The effect could be seen in the last two games, with no one sticking to accelerate the pace in the middle overs of the run chase. Openers Watson and Vijay have not fired, Du Plessis and Jadhav take time to settle while despite Dhoni’s best efforts, CSK is far behind the asking rate. Factor in Raina’s absence and there is no stability as such in the middle order for the Yellow Army.

Raina 2 1 Could Suresh Raina Make A Comeback To CSK Camp In IPL 2020?

There is a good reason that CSK have been struggling as far as batting is concerned. With an average of 33.3 and strike rate of 137, Raina often played the role of an anchor in the batting lineup. He has single handedly won matches for the team and sometimes supported the likes of Faf, Watson and Dhoni to put CSK over the line.

The loss of an important player like Raina was always going to hurt Chennai. But now, if he is even remotely interested in joining back then he should be allowed to. It just might change the fortunes of a team that has almost always qualified for the playoffs.

IPL 2020: The reasons behind CSK’s poor form in their last two matches

Day 7 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 featured a match of heavyweights Chennai Super Kings against the relatively young Delhi Capitals side.

Just one week into the IPL has produced another upset as Super Kings suffered a huge and embarrassing loss by 44 runs. Even though it’s pretty early days, it’s quite evident that the three-time champions are struggling to find some sort of rhythm.

CSK has been facing some troubles even before the tournament had started. The COVID-19 pandemic tailored the CSK camp as 13 of their staff including two players were tested positive. This unfortunate incident was followed by two of their veterans Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh withdrawing from the tournament.

308468.4 IPL 2020: The reasons behind CSK's poor form in their last two matches
(PC- espncricinfo.com)

Their opening match against MI went well as they comfortably won the match. However, in the next two matches, things seemed to have fallen out of place. Senior player Ambati Rayadu got injured as well which created another void in the already altered side. Speaking in the post-match conference, coach Stephen Fleming expressed concerns as well.

Coach Fleming admits that the side is struggling!

We just need to be a little bit clear with what we’re doing. And what perhaps we’re missing is a bigger contribution at the top so yeah there’s a lot of question marks and a lot of souls searching, in particular from the coaching point of view and the strategy point of view but we’re trying to find combinations where we get the best players at the right times and to keep shunting the order all over the place is not really our style but we’ve had a go at it and we’ll review how it’s gone.” admitted Fleming.

The pattern in their last two matches has been sort of similar. In their match against RR, pace bowler Lungi Ngidi and both the spinner Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja were brutally targeted. In yesterday’s match, they did make an adjustment of having Josh Hazlewood in place of Ngidi which worked. But spinners were still attacked.

As per batting is concerned, the openers have failed to contribute. The replacement Ruturaj Gaikwad has been struggling as well. Faf du Plessis has to handle both the top and middle order. Also, it has been noted that MS Dhoni comes to bat very late. The match has already slipped out of CSK’s hands when he comes to bat. They will have to make some changes and reiterate their plans.

Google pushes hard for developers to pay 30% on in-app billing service

0

Every developer that hosts its app’s Google Play Store has to comply with the rules of the Android creator. For apps containing in-app purchases, one has to follow one basic rule which has been in place or many years.

Every app that uses in-app purchases has to carry out the payments using Google in-app billing service. This service allows the company to acquire a cut of 30% on every purchase.

While this rule has existed for years. Some major developers like Netflic Inc, Spotify, Epic games, etc, have circumvented the rule. They prompt consumers to pay using a credit card, rather than their play app store account. This allows them to bypass google’s fee. Last year, even the Tinder dating app launched a similar payment process.

Google now however plans to push harder to developers to give the company a cut of in-app purchases.

The Alphabet plans to use updated guidelines, that clarify a requirement for most apps to use Google’s billing service for in-app purchases. Allowing the company to benefit from 30% of purchases from apps on android.

Recently, Epic Games launched a new payment method for its players. This allows consumers to buy in-game upgrades and pay Epic directly. This however resulted in Fortnite being pulled out of app stores from both Apple and Google.

Epic however sued both the tech giants.

Reports claim that Google will give time to developers to update their apps. They will not be removed immediately from the app store.

The updated guidelines don’t necessarily mean a complete revamp of Google policies. Rather it means the company will no longer allow developers to prompt users to pay with their credit. This is a crackdown on developers who doesn’t offer subscription through Google’s billing service for in-app purchases.

Google’s existing Play Store guidelines say, in part:

  • Developers offering products within a game download on Google Play or providing access to game content must use Google Play In-app Billing as the method of payment.
  • Developers offering products within another category of the app downloaded on Google Play must use Google Play In-app Billing as the method of payment, except for the following cases:
  • Payment is solely for physical products.
  • Payment is for digital content that may be consumed outside of the app itself (e.g. songs that can be played on other music players).

Google however has more or less allowed some high-profile companies to circumvent its guidelines. Now, however, Google is ready to make all developers comply with its policies or face enforcement.

Last week some major developers of in Tech market banded together primarily against Apple, and formed what is now called “Coalition for App Fairness”. This coalition included the likes of Epic Games, Spotify, and Tile. The group’s aim is to “create a level playing field for app businesses.”

Google’s new updated policies will surely escalate this ugly battle of developers.

Android being an open-source platform allows is users to access multiple app stores. But if developers want to be in the Play Store, they have to abide by Google’s rules.

A Google spokesperson said in a statement, “As an open platform, Android allows multiple app stores. In fact, most Android devices come with at least two stores right out of the box, and users can install others,”. He also added, “For developers who choose to distribute their apps on Google Play, our policy has always required them to use Play’s billing system if they offer in-app purchases of digital goods. We are always working with our partners to clarify these policies and ensure they are applied equitably and reasonably.”

Apple’s App Store has the same requirement as Google Play for in-app purchases and billing. Both companies exempt purchases for physical goods. Apple, however, does not let developers point users to outside websites to subscribe, but Google does.

App store fees generate billions of dollars in high-margin revenue for both Google and Apple each year. This revenue is termed by many developers as un-warranted tax.

The complete report will only be clarified after Google announces its final stance on in-app purchases next week. Will Google’s updated policies be as strict as Apple’s? only time will tell.

Realme Under-display selfie camera technology will be set to mass-production by next year

0

Technology is improving day by day so as the modern age smartphone. From a single rear camera to the quad rear camera setup we’ve come a long way. Not only the case of the rear camera but also for selfie cameras we’ve come a long way too. Starting from those mounted selfie camera, then comes the waterdrop notch, punch hole, dual-punch hole now we’re using. The main thinking behind the improvements of the selfie camera is that most of the screen will be visible to the user.

Nowadays after the punch-hole selfie camera, another technology is in the making, which is the under-display selfie camera. In this case, anybody can not see the camera as it’ll be under the main display. When the user will on the selfie camera, it will be automatically on from under the display. By this, the user can enjoy the absolutely full-screen display without any kind of disruption by any selfie notch.
