Ronaldo vs Messi TWICE in the Champions League this season

0

Yesterday was the red carpet for the 20/21 UEFA Champions League as the board finalized this year’s groups. While you can check out the relevant article on our website by clicking here, the most exciting news from the group stage draw has to be Group G.

While the group of death is most certainly Group H, with PSG, Manchester United, Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir competing for two spots in the round of 16, fans were blown away by Juventus and Barcelona being drawn in the same group.

While Ronaldo was in Spain, there was no chance of Madrid being drawn against Barcelona during the group stage. That was and still is, due to the national seeding.

However, since Ronaldo’s move to Juventus in 2018, the group stage draw is realistic and is officially happening.

The last time Messi and Ronaldo faced off against each other in the Champions League was a decade ago, during the 2010-11 season. Barcelona knocked out Real Madrid in the semi-finals and then proceeded to win the title.

The fact that they beat Ronaldo’s former club, Manchester United in the final only goes to show how good the team was during that time.

Although UEFA has not announced the official dates, the clash between two of the greatest players of this generation will happen twice. Once at Camp Nou and once at the Juventus stadium.

Ronaldo vs Messi Ronaldo vs Messi TWICE in the Champions League this season

Neither Messi nor Ronaldo has managed to win the UCL since the Portuguese superstar departed for Italy following his fourth Champions League trophy with Real Madrid in 2018.

With Barcelona managing to outdo their hilarious Champions League exits every year since Roma stumped them, Messi and Co. will be hungry to establish themselves as a top force in Europe especially given the rebuilding project, headed by Ronald Koeman.

Ronaldo’s Juventus might be one of the underdogs this season, due to Pirlo being in charge of his first senior team. Expecting the former Juventus player to deliver a Champions League in his first season seems too much too soon, but it has been done before. And it could be done again.

Marshall Major IV debuts with 80-hour battery life and Qi wireless charging

Marshall is back with its new Major IV headphones, and it borrows the same retro design from Marshall’s design book and a bunch of improvement over its predecessors which includes a minor design change, wireless charging, and humongous battery life

The latest headphone in the Major lineup hasn’t received much of a design overhaul, and it still has that old school Marshall’s staple guitar amp-inspired design. It has black vinyl covering with gold and silver accents.

There are some changes to the ergonomics, and the main components of a headphone are its ear cushions, so it was expected to get better. According to Marshall, Major IV’s ear cushions are softer to the touch and will fit the shape of your ears faithfully.

In the sound department, it is expected to sound just like its predecessors or maybe better since it has the same custom-tuned 40mm dynamic drivers as well as a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response range. Marshall claims that these drivers are supposed to deliver quite a bass, smooth mids, and brilliant treble for rich music experience.

Well, there are not many changes around the design or sound, but Marshall is changing the whole music listening experience a bit.

The biggest improvement is in the battery life where last generations Major III offered a battery life of just 30hours the Marshall Major IV is all set to beat it by a whopping difference of 50 hours which sets its total battery life to 80 hours that is equivalent to three days.

Connectivity is also getting an update there as Major IV has wireless charging support and USB C port for charging it with some normal charger but if you want you can put it down on a wireless Qi charger and get your Major IV refuelled, or you can also charge it through USB C port if you don’t have a Qi charger handy.

One of the unique features is that you can share the music with your friend over the 3.5mm audio jack which lets you pair it with some other headphones which have an audio jack.

The Marshall’s Major IV is available for preorders for $149 and they’ll be up for the sale starting October 14.

UEFA confirmed the return of fans to the Champions League matches

The wait is finally over for the football fans. Fans can be back again at the stadium to cheer their teams. UEFA has already confirmed the return of the fans to the stadium. 30% of fans will be allowed to enter the stadium, though only local fans will be allowed to maintain local health laws.

Yesterday UEFA stated, “The UEFA Executive Committee has decided today, following the success of the pilot UEFA Super Cup match in Budapest on 24 September, to allow the partial return of spectators at UEFA matches where local laws allow, starting in the national team matches next week.”

“The number of spectators will be limited to 30% of the respective capacity of the stadiums. Visiting fans will not be allowed to enter games until further notice.”

“Both the admission of fans and the capacity limit are subject to the decision of local authorities. UEFA matches may not be played with spectators where local authorities do not allow it, and the 30% capacity limit can only be reached when the limit set by local authorities is not lower, in which case that limit would apply.”

R8 1596044615 UEFA confirmed the return of fans to the Champions League matches

Recently UEFA allowed 30% of the total capacity of the stadium in the UEFA Super Cup finals. Fans are allowed after maintaining precautions. The rules will be the same for Champions League matches as well. Mask is mandatory for everyone and other precaution measures will be taken as well.

UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin said, “Today’s decision is a sensible first step that puts the health of the fans first and respects the laws of each country. Although we all face a common enemy such as COVID, different countries have different approaches and challenges at any given time. This decision allows much more local flexibility than before to deal with the admission of fans, always respecting the assessment of the local authorities.”

“27 countries on the continent already allow fans to enter to some extent. This decision will allow a coherent approach country by country and not competition by competition, which was sometimes difficult for fans to understand.”-He added.

It is very good news for football fans. It is hard to enjoy the game without the cheering voice of the crowd. But the wait is now finally over.

Mubadala invests ₹ 6,247.5 crores into Reliance Retail Ventures

Another day, another investor – but this time into RRVL

This investment spree isn’t over yet, after gaining crores of money by giving some shares to some major investors, Reliance already made Jio Platforms debt-free. Even before the year 2020 gets over, Reliance is thinking long-term; yes, it targets India’s biggest business sector or retail business.

Having got investment from Silver Lake, KKR, and General Atlantic, it gets investment from its previous partner Mubadala. The Abu Dhabi-based sovereign investor will invest ₹ 6,247.5 crores (AED 3.1 billion) into Reliance Retail Ventures Limited.

The investment values Reliance Retail at a pre-money equity value of ₹ 4.285 lakh crore. Mubadala’s investment will translate into a 1.40% equity stake in RRVL on a fully diluted basis. Previously, it made a huge investment of US $1.2 billion in Jio Platforms and continues to trust Reliance, backed by Mukesh Ambani in India.

Mubadala invests ₹ 6,247.5 crores into Reliance Retail Ventures

If you are a football fan, you will definitely know Mubadala Investment Company and its CEO Khaldoon Al Mubarak, who also founded the City Football Group that owns Manchester City and other football clubs worldwide. Mubadala’s US $232 billion portfolio spans over six continents with interests in multiple sectors and asset classes.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, said: “I am
happy to welcome Mubadala as a valued investor in Reliance Retail Ventures. We value the partnership with a knowledge-rich organization like Mubadala and acknowledge their confidence in our mission to strengthen the core of India’s retail sector – the millions of small retailers, merchants, and shopkeepers – through the power of technology. Mubadala’s investment and guidance will be an invaluable support in this journey.”

Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director, and Group CEO, Mubadala Investment Company, said: “We are pleased to deepen our relationship with Reliance Industries through this investment in Reliance Retail Ventures. Their vision is the inclusive transformation of India’s consumer economy through the power of digitization, creating opportunities and market access for millions of small businesses across the country, and we are committed to supporting the company’s continuing development.”

With such huge investments, Reliance will try to reform its retail business and try to be the best in the country as it did with Jio by disrupting the telecom sector. It will not amaze me if more investments come in the coming days because at the end of the day retail business is the biggest in India, and Mukesh Ambani is up to disrupting that segment as well.

Apple iPhone 12 Mini, the cheapest model in the series, to ship in three storage variants

2

Rumours are already getting confirmed as we are nearing the launch rapidly. The Apple iPhone 12 series pricing was leaked recently and the whole internet has been taken in a wave. We have seen the pricing that started from mid-range totally blowing up to flagship pricing, even the topmost version might have a higher price range this time after comparing with the previous iPhone 11 Pro Max’s top version.

Moving towards the iPhone 12 Mini we know that this phone will be the first Mini version of any mainstream series of Apple iPhone with a 5.4″ screen size. This time the company has planned differently making a Mini version, the base price of the smartphone series will come down to some mid-range segment attracting a larger scale of customers to invest in their first Apple device. Until now the price of the iPhone devices was ranging from upper mid-range to a flagship level, needless to say, the quality of every device was seriously maintained and upgraded in every upcoming new series.

As we have seen in the previous price revealing article the iPhone 12 Mini will come with a 64GB base storage variant pairing with 4GB RAM and likewise the rumoured price has also tagged along for $649. Needless to mention this variant will be followed by a 128GB variant and a top 256GB storage option. Well, the price rises accordingly where, 128GB variant will carry a price tag of $699, and the 256GB variant will carry a price tag of $799.

Now the pricing strategy set up by the company is quite interesting if the recent price revealed is not fake. The base variant of the iPhone 12 Mini starts from $649 bringing down the base pricing of the iPhone 12 series by name. While this variant is attracting more customers the pricing of the top model of the Mini version, which is the 256GB variant, with a price tag of $799 collides with the 128GB variant of the iPhone 12. This will also encourage the customers who were willing to go for the 256GB variant of the Mini version to re-think and sidewise reconsidering the 128GB variant of the vanilla version of the series.

IPL 2020 – CSK vs SRH: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction

The exciting long weekend will continue with another classic as Chennai Super Kings will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Both the teams entered the tournament as favourites, however, couldn’t seem to strike the right combination as of now. But it’s still initial days of the tournament, cricket fans know both of these heavyweights can bounce back at any time.

CSK is coming off a disappointing loss against Delhi Capitals. But the much needed time off may have given them the time to reiterate some of their weaknesses.

SRH, on the other hand, is coming off the first win of their tournament. They seem to have found the right combination at least for now.

Chennai Super Kings

CSK has been struggling with its combination. The top order hasn’t been contributing. Shane Watson has been getting starts but hasn’t been able to convert them into the fifties. The middle-order with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav haven’t been contributing that much as well. This puts unnecessary pressure on Faf Du Plessis. Skipper MS Dhoni must consider promoting himself up the order as well.

Faf du Plessis IPL 2020 – CSK vs SRH: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction

As per bowling is concerned, CSK has finally achieved a strong pace bowling combination. Deepak Chahar, Sam Curran, and Josh Hazelwood have looked phenomenal. Their spin bowling, however, has struggled. CSK may consider replacing Piyush Chawla with Karn Sharma.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH, on the other hand, seems to have finally found a combination. They were struggling with their middle-order but the addition of Kane Williamson has sorted it out. Rashid Khan found some form in his last match as well. Newcomer Natarajan has been good in death. However, spearhead Bhuvaneshwar Kumar hasn’t looked in form.

5f111 16013622339888 800 IPL 2020 – CSK vs SRH: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction
(PC-Sportskeeda)

Fantasy XI League

FAF DU PLESSIS (9) (C) – Du Plessis is coming off two phenomenal fifties. He scored 72 of just 37 balls with 7 sixes against RR. He’ll again be my captain.

DAVID WARNER (10.5) (VC) – David Warner has been in phenomenal form and has been consistent as well. He’ll be my vice-captain.

JOHNNY BAIRSTOW (9.5) – Bairstow has been in great form as well. He has adapted an anchor role and thus scores big.

MANISH PANDEY (9) – Manish Pandey has been in great form and has been given a new role of leading the middle-order.

SHANE WATSON (9.5) – Watson has been getting some good starts. However, he’ll have to convert them into something big.

SAM CURRAN (8.5) – Curran bowled really well and also scored a match-winning cameo in their first match against MI. Dhoni likes the idea of promoting him depending upon the situation.

KANE WILLIAMSON (9.5) – Williamson can play each role. He can attack using traditional cricket shots taking minimal risks.

RASHID KHAN (9.5) – Rashid Khan is one of the best T20 bowlers in the world. And most importantly, he has found form.

DEEPAK CHAHAR (8.5) – Chahar has been contributing with crucial wickets especially in the powerplay overs.

JOSH HAZLEWOOD (8.5) – Hazlewood impressed everybody with his tight bowling.

T. NATARAJAN (8) – Natarajan has impressed everyone with his death bowling. He justified himself being picked over Khaleel Ahmed, Siddharth Kaul, and Basil Thampi.

PREDICTION

Both teams have their own loopholes and limitations. However, working around them is the job of a captain and MS Dhoni masters in it. SRH is short of a fifth bowler. They cannot expect Abhishek Sharma to give them 4 overs under any pitch or circumstances. CSK will definitely study those weaknesses and capitalize on them. CSK will therefore defeat SRH.
