Spanish defender Jose Luis Espinosa Arroyo, known as Tiri, has signed a new one-year contract with ATK Mohun Bagan FC. Tiri has returned back to the club after spending 3 seasons with Jamshedpur FC.

Tiri was a part of ATK in the 2015 and 2016 seasons. He was also the part of the ISL winning ATK team in 2016. After that, he joined Jamshedpur FC and played there for two seasons. In his four seasons in Indian Super League, the defender has played in 68 matches scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.

Tiri is one of the best defenders of the league. His performance for his teams was always on top in the last couple of seasons.

Intel Core i7-1185G7 vs AMD Ryzen 7 4700U benchmarks – Intel beats AMD

0

Recently Intel launched their 10nm based 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake CPUs with a lot of promise to beat AMD, however, their benchmarks weren’t that much convincing enough as they never used standard benchmark tools like Geekbench or Cinebench. However, today, a bunch of new Geekbench 5 scores of the new Intel Tiger Lake flagship Core i7-1185G7 on an MSI machine has surfaced up, and thanks to @TUM_APISAK for spotting.

So, comparing the upcoming Intel flagship CPU with the current AMD flagship APU is a fair thing and I have a Ryzen 7 4700U APU on my laptop as Ryzen 7 4800U has not yet landed in India. So, when compared a 4 cores/ 8 threads CPU to an 8 core/ 8 threads APU, the difference is huge and far beyond my expectation.

Intel Tiger Lake lineup for laptops announced: up to 4.8GHz turbo confirmed

As we know the new Core i7-1185G7 will feature a base clock of 3.0 GHz along with a boost clock speed of up to 4.8 GHz, and it has been confirmed recently. Also, the CPU has a lot of cache memory – 5 MB of L2 cache and 12 MB of L3 cache, all of this in a 15W standard TDP package which is configurable up to 28W (PL1).

While the Ryzen 7 4700U with all its 8 cores and 8 threads has a 2.0GHz base and 4.1 GHz boost clock speed along with 4MB L2 cache and 8MB L3 cache. So, I know the comparison would be fare enough with the Ryzen 7 4800U, whose highest score I have also included as well:

So, as we see with that massive 4.8GHz boost clock speed, the Intel Core i7-1185G7 managed to grab a massive 1610 points in single-core and with just 4 cores & 8 threads has managed to grab 6113 points in multi-core tests. On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 4700U with 8 cores and 8 threads managed to grab 1137 points in single-core and 5136 points in multi-core tests, suggesting a clear and comfortable win for Intel.

Now, if the new Core i7-1185G7 is compared with AMD’s true flagship Ryzen 7 4800U, the average single-core score is around the same 1150 points and 6500 points in multi-core tests. So, AMD still leads in multi-core benchmarks while losing to Intel when it comes to single-core tests like its brother Ryzen 7 4700U, however, one thing is evident, the competition is heating up!

One advantage that Intel has this time against AMD is the new Intel Xe graphics that is said to be much more superior to that of AMD’s and if Intel can price these new Tiger Lake CPUs well, it can again show its performance supremacy to a lot of consumers.

IPL 2020: The IPL 2020 on-air advertisements

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 is just one way away. After the tournament was postponed, after many hindrances and altercations, the IPL will begin on September 19 in UAE.

However, there’s some good news after all the chaos. Star India has managed to sell all sponsorship packages for the season this year. Star India is the official broadcasters of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Therefore, all on-air sponsor packages on Star India are completely sold out for the season. Star has decided to hold 8-10% inventory on the tournament which will be sold independently at a 15-20% premium.

(PC- Slideshare)

“IPL 2020 will have 5 Co-presenting partners and 14 Associate sponsors on board. Other than this sponsorship partners have also been built on PPL (Pre Post Lunch / Mid innings) programming. All the sponsorship spots are completely sold out”, informed a source from Star India.

Sponsors and advertisers associated with the IPL

“We already have 15 sponsors and 60 advertisers on board and currently we are in an advanced stage with a few categories for associate sponsorships and many more for spot buys”, Gautam Thakar, CEO of Star Sports had said last week.

Star has already signed deals with renowned organizations like Amazon, Byju’s, Dream11, PhonePe, PolyCab, ITC, Coca Cola, Rummy Circle, AMFI, P&G, Kamala Pasand, and various others. However, last week, they have sold balance remaining sponsorship slots as well. This just goes to show the hold of IPL on the market.

Byju’s will be the biggest spender this year on the on-air advertising and Dream11 will be the highest spender overall. The total number of advertisers are estimated to be around a whopping 200!

As per online advertisers, already 80 advertisers are on board currently. Star is expected to sign 30-40 more advertisers over the next 12 days before the IPL begins on September 19th.

AMD Zen 3 based Ryzen 4000 ‘Vermeer’ CPUs specs leaked

0

The next-gen CPUs from AMD have been confirmed to launch on October 8 and now much expectedly the specs of it have been leaked to give us some insights about the performance these CPUs. Based on TSMC’s 7nm+ EUV process, the Zen 3 architecture is said to be a much-improved one than Zen 2, which was already a revolutionary step from AMD.

The information that has been received by Wccftech is part of confidential AMD documents shared by CyberCatPunk. As we all know the AMD Vermeer Desktop CPUs or Ryzen 4000 based on Zen 3 microarchitecture will be known as the AMD Family 19h Model 21h B0. So, as per the document, these Vermeer CPUs will be designed to use in high-performance desktop platforms.

It will be featuring up to two CCD’s (Core/Cache Complex Dies) along with a single IOD (I/O Die). Until last-gen, a single CCD comprised of two CCX’s (Core Complexes), however, in the case of Zen 3 CCD, it will consist a single CCX that will feature up to 8 cores running either in a single-thread mode (1T) or a two-thread model (2T) for up to 16 threads per CCX.

A chip will have a maximum of two CCDs, so the core and thread count will be maxed out to 16 cores and 32 threads only, same as the existing flagship Ryzen 9 3950X desktop CPU. Each of these Zen 3 cores will feature 512 KB of L2 cache to make a total of 4 MB of L2 cache per CCD and apart from it, each of the CCD will also comprise up to 32 MB of shared L3 cache. All of these Zen 3 cores can share a larger amount of L3 cache.

AMD will be introducing a slightly improved scalable data fabric with Zen 3 cores with support up to 512 GB per DRAM channel or up to 1 TB of ECC DRAM. For the memory interface, these Ryzen 4000 Vermeer desktop CPUs will still have DDR4-3200 speeds. However, there will be 2 unified memory controllers on the CPU, and each of them will be supporting one DRAM channel for a total of 2 DIMMs per channel. You can check all of the leaked specs from Wccftech.

AMD Zen 3 based Ryzen 4000 ‘Vermeer’ CPUs specs leaked

Also, as per rumors, the Zen 3 architecture will bring almost 15-17% IPC uplift than last-gen which is incredible considering the fact that Zen 2 was already a fast one. So, this time you can expect AMD CPUs going as high as 5GHz officially to give Intel a stiff competition on the single-core frequency along with a 50% increase in Zen 3’s floating-point operations & a major cache redesign.

Ok, you won’t have to wait much longer for that as AMD will formally announce these on October 8, and with any info about these Ryzen 4000 Vermeer CPUs, we will keep you informed.

Microsoft brings Surface Solo, a cool concept Surface phone with a single screen

0

Microsoft has recently released its Surface Duo smartphone. But the initial reviews are not that great about the phone. The Microsoft Surface Duo comes with a 5.60-inch touchscreen primary display as well as it features a secondary display of 5.60-inch. This phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Other than that, this phone bears a glass body, supports Wi-Fi and USB Type-C.

It looks like a stylish decent phone, but somehow it failed to manage the attention of the users. If you’re the sort of person who prefers a single screen to a dual-screen device then you will definitely like the new concept Surface Phone.

Now Microsoft brings another concept called Surface Solo. This concept is designed by Jonas Dehnert. He has shared this design on his twitter too. The phone looks quite similar to the Surface Duo, but it comes with a single screen. So, this phone will not have a dual-screen. The Surface Solo also features slimmer bezels and a punch-hole camera in the middle. On the backside, this phone has a single camera sensor and an LED flash at the top-left corner. This phone features rounded corners and it has a power button and volume rocker keys on the right side.

This design is pretty neat than the previous one. This design takes a lot of inspiration from other manufacturers while preserving the uniqueness of the Surface brand. Now we have to see how this new design from Microsoft will impact the attention of the users.

AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs still dominate Intel after a year of launch as per the latest Mindfactory sales

0

Its been a year since AMD launched their revolutionary Ryzen 3000 desktop CPUs and since then the Red team has never looked back, they were already dominating in sales, after the 7nm debut, AMD started dominating the market share as well. Intel who enjoyed a lion’s share even in 2017, when the first Ryzen CPU was launched, was nowhere near AMD in April 2020 Mindfactory(a German retail outlet) CPU sales.

Now, it turns out after the launch of 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake-S desktop CPU sales, Intel did gather some amount of customers, not enough to overturn the market which is still dominated by the Red team. As per August 2020 CPU sales, thanks to the likes of the Redditor @ingebor who have posted the chart which clearly shows that AMD has an 84% share thanks to the likes of its Ryzen 3000 XT, Ryzen 3000 & Ryzen 2000 CPU sales.

AMD now enjoys a wide variety of high-end desktop CPUs, budget APUs and mid-range CPUs that help them give every consumer the CPU they want to go with. However, if you go by sales figure, AMD has constantly enjoyed a steady 25,000 units that are driven by the likes of its best-selling CPUs like Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 7 3700X, and Ryzen 9 3900X.

On the other hand, Intel has generously got some market share after April steadily, getting as much as 16% market share thanks to the likes of Core i5-9400F, Core i9-9900K and Core i5-10600K. This itself says a lot about people’s choice whether be it for domestic or professional use, AMD is still ruling with its Ryzen 3000 CPUs even after a year.

If this was not enough for Intel, AMD is dropping the Zen 3 bomb next month with new Ryzen 4000 Vermeer CPUs on October 8, mark your calender, AMD’s reply to Intel’s 10th Gen is coming!
