Redmi 9i is going to launch in India on September 15

According to recent reports, Redmi is going to launch its new Redmi 9i smartphone on 15 September 2020. There are some specifications which are already leaked about this phone and some are confirmed too. Now let’s get into this.

Redmi 9i smartphone is expected to run on the Android v10 (Q) operating system (support of MIUI) and will be powered by an Octa-core, 2 GHz, Cortex A53 processor, that runs on the MediaTek Helio G25 Chipset. This phone will come in a 2GB RAM variant and 32GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 512GB by an external microSD card.

Regarding the display, this phone will have a 6.53″ (720 x 1600 Pixels) IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 20:9. It will be a waterdrop notch display. Now coming to the camera section, this phone may feature a single rear camera of 13-megapixel (f/2.2). This primary sensor will have facilities like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus. This phone will also have a selfie camera of 5 MP f/2.2.

Regarding the battery, this phone is backed up by a 5,000mAH battery. It will also have several connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, and more. Most importantly this phone will support a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Looking at the specifications, it is pretty sure that the Redmi 9i will be a lower budget smartphone. There is no official information regarding the price of it. But the price is likely to be Rs. 7,999. The rest of the things will be cleared on September 15 at 12 noon.

‘Your life is changed forever’: Brendon McCullum recalls DADA’s words regarding his famous knock of 158 in IPL 2008

Remember the first match ever in IPL, KKR v/s RCB. The legendary kiwi hard-hitter Brendon McCullum smashed 158 runs from just 73 deliveries against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After that match captain, Sourav Ganguly told McCullum, “Your life is changed forever”. After 12 years of that event, Kolkata Knight Riders head coach Brendon McCullum has recalled the statement of Dada.

Speaking on KKR’s website, Brendon McCullum revealed that it took him years to understand the gravity and importance of Sourav Ganguly’s words. He said: “DADA SAID, ‘YOUR LIFE IS CHANGED FOREVER’, AND I DIDN’T QUITE KNOW WHAT HE MEANT AT THE TIME, BUT (IN HINDSIGHT), I 100% AGREE WITH HIM.”

Remembering that match, McCullum shared some of his beautiful memories. He said that nothing was preplanned. the management was just looking for a blistering start of the tournament and Brendon gave them just that.

Brendon McCullum also added that KKR is all about representing the spirit and the passion of Bengal towards this game. This year the team will miss the crowd of the Eden, but surely KKR will try to play a brand of cricket which will be representative of the people of Bengal this IPL season. He said: “WE’RE TRYING TO PLAY A STYLE OF CRICKET WHICH IS A GREAT REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE OF BENGAL AND ALSO SHAH RUKH, JAY (MEHTA) AND ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN THE FRANCHISE. HOPEFULLY, WE WILL BE ABLE TO BE SUCCESSFUL, BECAUSE I THINK WE’VE GOT THE RIGHT TEAM FOR IT AS WELL.”

KKR won the title two times 2012 and 2014. This time, McCullum is very much confident that the team will lift the trophy once again. He is currently the head coach of the Trinbago Knight Riders in the ongoing CPL, so when the tournament will be over, he will join his team in UAE.

Silver Lake’s investment of Rs. 7500 crore will translate into a 1.75% equity stake in Reliance Retail on a fully diluted basis. This investment values Reliance Retail at a pre-money equity value of ₹ 4.21 lakh crore.

So with this, Jio Platforms and Reliance Retail account for over Rs. 9 Lakh crore of RIL valuation. SLP has a terrific track record of investing in some of the largest and successful tech companies globally such as Twitter, Airbnb, Alibaba, Dell Technologies, ANT Financials, Twitter, Alphabet’s Waymo, and Verily amongst others.

This investment marks the potential of RIL’s tech and consumer business capabilities, however, it will be interesting to see how Reliance Retail shapes up with the acquisition of Future Group and now use this investment from Silver Lake to revolutionize the retail market of India.

It actually launched in India yesterday, but come for sale today. If you are looking for a smart band to buy, have a look at its specs first.

The Redmi Smart Band features a 1.08-inch color AMOLED touchscreen and promises up to 14 days of battery life like the Mi Band 4. Like the Realme Band, it also comes with a built-in charging port that plugs into a USB-A port on the charger, laptop, or PC, which is quite convenient than their traditional capsule-style band.

The signing of Doucoure shows Everton are really strengthening their squad this season

Everton has managed to sign Abdoulaye Doucoure from Watford on a deal worth up to 23 million pounds. This move comes as a quickfire signing, having already signed Allan from Napoli and James Rodriguez from Real Madrid for a combined 55 million pounds. Ahead of the 2020/21 season, Carlo Ancelotti has certainly attained a dream midfield trio and has been backed well by the Everton board. Of course with such investment, comes the need to fulfill high scale objectives, and now qualifying for the Europa League will be on the cards for the blue side of Merseyside.

The three signings are signed with the intention of playing particularly defined roles. As part of Carlo’s desired 4-2-3-1 formation, Doucoure and Allan would look to form a double pivot in the middle of the park and stop counters. While Allan would mostly sit back and look to intercept and recycle possession, Doucoure would play the box-to-box midfielder role by dropping back in defense time and again as well as surging forward to help with the attacks.

Meanwhile, James will look to play the centerpiece #10 role as an attacking midfielder, who will be responsible for set-piece execution and visioning passes in tight spaces. Additionally, if this trilateral partnership does not work, they could bring in the likes of Sigurdson and Gomes to take the initiative and create something.

Everton might have completed most of their signings in the market this summer, because the attack and midfield now look stacked with options. The signing of youth player Niels Nkounkou from Marseille will look to provide cover for Lucas Digne while loanee return Jonjoe Kenny will look to provide competition to captain Coleman at right back. They might however be looking at a backup winger who can come off the bench and make some impact. Regardless, Everton now look like a menacing side who will now prove to be a handful to all their rivals.

In the earlier days, we already get lots of hints indication HMD Global is preparing to bounce back in the smartphone market. But during the recent IFA 2020 event, the company introduce nothing, and that disappoints its fans. Now Evan Blass fulfilled that a bit.

He revealed the renders of both Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 3.4. Both the phones have rear-mounted fingerprint scanners and the buttons on the same side. In the case of the camera, Nokia 3.4 has a triple camera setup along with a flash, and the Nokia 2.4 has a single camera. As per looks, Nokia 3.4 is one step ahead than the other one.

Rumors are saying Nokia 2.4 will come carrying a 4,800 mAh battery inside and there will be single-SIM and dual-SIM model options for the customers. It is expected that MediaTek’s Helio P22 will power the handset along with 3GB of RAM and a 6.2-inch 720p display will be added too.

Nokia 3.4, on the other hand, will come with a 6.52-inch 720p display. A Snapdragon 460 processor will power the phone coupled with 3GB of RAM. HMD Global may put a 4,000 mAh battery to it.

As per Nokiapowerhouse, a listing in the UK says the price of the Nokia 3.4 (3GB/32GB variant) will cost  £129.60 which is around Rs.12,350.

The Professional Footballers’ Association announced its annual award winners on Monday evening. We’ll cover the recipients of all the winners and team of the year here.

PFA Players’ Player of the Year

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson managed to bag the Football Writer’s Player of the Year award earlier this year. However, it was Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne who was presented the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.

De Bruyne was undoubtedly the most deserving candidate out of the six nominees for the award. His record-matching 20 assists and 13 goals in the 2019/20 season cemented his claim as one of, if not the best midfielder in the world.

In addition, the amount of impact that the Belgian has on City’s game is enough to call him their most important player. To conclude, De Bruyne is one of the most well-deserved awardees of the campaign gone by.

PFA Young Player of the Year

While deciding a winner of the Young Player of the Year award was much harder, it is Trent Alexander-Arnold who has come out on top for the second consecutive year.

Though Mason Greenwood provided the strongest competition to TAA for the award, it is hard to look past the merit of the right-back. To sum it all up, Trent Alexander-Arnold is the best right back in the world right now and he is only 21.
