Liverpool apparently reach an agreement with Watford for the transfer of winger Ismaila Sarr

Despite showing initial sluggishness towards their transfers strategy, Liverpool have now rolled on the pace of signing players. The club recently confirmed the signings of Diogo Jota and Thiago Alcantara. And if the latest reports are to be believed, they are now surging forward to sign a winger. As the famous proverb goes, “If you can’t beat them, buy them.”

One would do well to remember Ismaila Sarr’s performance in Watford’s 3-1 win over Liverpool. The winger was exceptionally fast, time and beating Robertson and Van Dijk to move into central areas and taking frequent shots on goal. 

It is probably this directness that has attracted the Anfield club to make a move for the former Rennes footballer. Sarr has so far played 30 games and scored 6 goals and 4 assists in his debut season with Watford.

However, a recent move for forward Jota raises doubts over whether Sarr would be able to command a starting place in the Liverpool team. Although there are many clubs who are chasing the Senegal winger, at 22 years old he would be targeting more game time at any club that he moves to. Especially where he can command more game time, possibly a club like Manchester United or Aston Villa – who are the teams named to be linked to him. 

As far as the dealing specifics go, Liverpool are ready to pay Watford anywhere between 35 and 40 million Euros for his signing. This is according to the source France Football. However, more trusted information mouthpieces such as Paul Joyce, Melissa Reddy and Fabrizio Romano are yet to confirm this particular transfer rumour. Regardless, this would be an impressive signing from Liverpool – who will add depth to their potent attacking force.

Day 3 of the IPL 2020 featured an interesting match as the ever so balanced Sunrisers Hyderabad took on the unpredictable Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Stepping in as the heavy favourites, unfortunately, the Sunrisers couldn’t have a bad start to their campaign. Not only did they lose a match which they once thought was a piece of cake. They also lost their prime all-rounder and one of the best overseas players, Mitchell Marsh.

Marsh looked in decent form in his recent international series against England. He was expected to do the same for SRH as well who are known for their heavy top order. Marsh came to bowl an over. however, slipped in his follow-through after just bowling his second delivery.

After bowling two more balls, a limping Marsh had to discontinue his over and move back to the pavilion. He also came to bat at number 10, however, was still limping. It was later reported that the Australian may be out of the entire IPL.

“It seems a serious injury. I am not sure if he is able to compete in any of the matches,” a team source told.

Replacement for Mitchell Marsh?

It will be a huge loss for SRH. It has been reported that the team is looking to call another Australian seam-bowling all-rounder, Dan Christian. The 37-year-old Christian is a T20 specialist with a lot of experience. He has an IPL experience of 40 matches and is a staple in major T20 leagues like Big Bash.

“It doesn’t look great. A lot of courage from him to walk out there and try his best, but it was unfortunate tonight”, Warner told.

“Obviously, what you saw out there, it was quite painful, he can’t put any weight on it.”

They also have access to the current number 1 ranked T20 all-rounder, former Afghanistan captain Mohammed Nabi. Even though he’s a spin bowling option, SRH can use him and Vijay Shankar can get some overs of pace in.

Xiaomi to launch its 360Hz gaming monitor

Xiaomi is one of the largest tech industries in Asia, the company recently released its A-series of TVs. while having many competitors in the market the company has to come up with various innovative ideas in order to be in the race.

Recently Xiaomi disclosed its plans to release a new 24.5-inch external gaming monitor that will come with 240Hz and 360Hz refresh rates.

It is reported to start at 999 yuan which is roughly $148. Though it’s cheap the monitor can nowhere be compared with Asus ROG Swift 360 Hz PG259QN.

Asus ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QN comes with the tagline “the world’s fastest esports gaming monitor”. With the considerably high refresh rate, it can be easily seen why hardcore games and esports enthusiasts would be attracted to such a device, and now it seems that Xiaomi would like a piece of that particular action.

The 240Hz monitor is definitely the entry-level monitor. The other details regrading the monitor are still unknown.

Even if the price is considered less it must be noted that the monitor’s price reported is only for its china market. When Xiaomi products are released outside of the china market they tend to get unreasonably expensive.

But it’s 360Hz monitor sure can give Asus a run for its money in regards to affordability.

The new Xiaomi monitors are said to feature IPS panels which will be manufactured by AU Optronics.

But analysts claim that for the gaming monitor to be with 360Hz refresh rate, it is impossible to keep the cost within 1,000 yuan.

Currently, there is a huge demand in the market for displays with high refresh rates. The highest available display currently is at 280Hz. With all tech companies for displays above 280Hz, it will be a tough competition for Xiaomi’s new display when it gets released.

Its cloud gaming technology helps the users play games without having to use the device hardware on any platform. This can be done without having to upgrade the system.

However, this service is different than Microsoft’s xCloud service.

Along with game streaming, the new Xbox app for android has been updated with a new design. This contains the latest changes that will come with the new dashboard coming with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

The next-gen console includes a new share button, and the updated Xbox app will compliment that. The app will notify the users about a successful capture. The users can then upload it quickly to their social media platforms.

The new Xbox app can be used to configure the settings of the Xbox consoles which will be releasing in November. You can install games using the apps directly to your console, manage a game library, and can even free up the storage space. An added bonus is that users can even remote control the Xbox console.

Unfortunately, the cloud gaming service is not available for Indian gamers as of now. But the good news is that Microsoft has its cloud servers in India. So it’s only a matter of time before Indian gamers get to enjoy the cloud gaming service of Microsoft.

The App is currently in beta version and is available for android phones and tablets. Currently, it’s only Android exclusive which means that iOS users will have to wait for a little to get their hands on the new Xbox app. However, with the App store’s current policies regarding game streaming services, its highly unlikely that Microsoft will release its cloud service app anytime soon.

Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 11 has appeared on the Geekbench website, where we got a comparison of the Exynos 1000 processor with a couple of Qualcomm Snapdragon 875-powered smartphones in the forms of the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Xiaomi Mi 11. But somehow the benchmark results have been leaked for those two upcoming flagships.

According to the Geekbench 5 results, we can see that the Xiaomi Mi 11 is powered by the 5nm Snapdragon 875 (as hinted at by none other than Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing). The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 has managed to score 1,102 points in the single-core benchmark and 4,113 points in the multi-core test.

If we compare it to the Geekbench 5 scores of the Xiaomi Mi 10, then we’ll definitely witness a greater performance in the Mi 11. The Xiaomi Mi 10 managed to score 910 points in the single-core benchmark and 3,309 points in the multi-core test.

Looking at the scores of Mi 11 and Mi 10 we can clearly see that the difference has happened for the 5 nm Snapdragon 875 chipset of Mi 11. In the case of Mi 10, it is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset which is the predecessor of SD 875.

This leaves a difference of +21.1% between the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 10 in single-core performance. Apart from it, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 will also feature an under-display selfie camera which is like a cherry on the cake. This phone is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2021.

Trump administration declared that their months of drama with TikTok ended in success. The US president reported that the agreement between the social media company and Oracle was a great success.

But ByteDance claims that it is not ready to sell the majority of its stake to another company. This proves the US presidents claim to be false.

Trump, however, says that if ByteDance wants to continue TikTok in the US market then the business shares have to be majorly owned by a US firm.

The US administration has been continuously blaming TikTok for its data insecurity. The Trump administration claims that users’ data is been sold to the Chinese administration. TikTok and Wechhat both have been under the radar of the US Government siting risk to national security.

TikTok has 100 million users in the US, and WeChat was downloaded 29,000 times in the country.

TikTok did reject an offer from Microsoft has struck a deal with Oracle—whose leaders are political allies of the US president. The transaction would form a new company called TikTok Global, in which Oracle and Walmart would together take a 20 percent stake.

Walmart and Oracle announced that TikTok Global would be “majority-owned by American investors.” But ByteDance said that TikTok Global would be fully owned by a subsidiary of the company.

ByteDance claims that it will retain  80% of the shares in TikTok Global. But the US administration does not seem to agree. This has further escalated the drama between the Trump administration and the Chinese social media platform.

The main concern of the Trump administration is the technology behind the TikTok. A recent rule imposed by the Chinese government prohibits any Chinese tech company from selling its technology and algorithm to foreign buyers.

ByteDance does not want to transfer its source code or technology.

Despite the law, Oracle and Walmart said in their statement that, “all the TikTok technology will be in possession of TikTok Global, and comply with US laws and privacy regulations.”

The Oracle and Walmart want to please the Trump government whereas ByteDance wants to please the Chinese government.

Amazon to release its Sidewalk which will use Bluetooth Low Energy

Amazon has never been one to shy away from bringing in new innovative ideas in the market. Recently the company announced the launch of its yet another ambitious project.

Amazon will launch its new Amazon Sidewalk. It’s a networking and location system. The system aim’s at linking smart home devices and other Amazon home products using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which can connect beyond the range of standard wi-fi networks.

The Sidewalk will turn devices like smart floodlights and home assistants into network bridges, passing along security updates and commands form a central Wi-Fi hub.

Sidewalk will be built into Amazons Echo. The company has been planning on adding Ring cameras to this network. This will notify the device owners if the sidewalk is available to use.

Tile has become the first third party to join the project and support the new system

Adding more devices to its Sidewalk will extend its range and functionality. Amazon cites, “When more neighbors participate, the network becomes even stronger”. The network is similar to a Mesh Network will recover the addition of more devices to function at its top capacity.

Amazon claims that “to simplify new device setup, extend the low-bandwidth working range of devices and help devices stay online and up-to-date even if they are outside the range of home wi-fi”.

The major difference that the Sidewalk network will have over conventional Wi-Fi mesh systems, will be its dependency over location tracking. Amazon had previously demonstrated that Sidewalk which uses Ring Fetch Devices, when clipped to a pet’s collar was successfully able to alert when a pet strays outside of the designated area.

While having such a widespread network using Geo-fencing also leads to various privacy concerns. Amazon has actively laid out a number of privacy features in order to prevent unauthorized users from collecting data. This is done by encrypting the signals that are used to

Amazon has been actively trying to recruit third-party companies to join in on its Sidewalk project. While creating a global network amazon aims in extending the functionality of its Sidewalk in various fields where sharing of data between devices could lead to enhanced performance.

We live in a world that is data-dependent. Having more data naturally means having better performance. However, in this data-oriented world, online privacy and security will always take top priority. The success of Sidewalk largely depends on Amazon’s capacity of handling such a wide Geo-fencing network with security and privacy as its main fore-toe.

Football stadiums have been empty ever since play resumed in July. While fans in Germany have been allowed to attend games in cities where the number of coronavirus cases are less, some cities are still on the list of places where fans are not allowed to attend any games. 

Unfortunately, that seems to be the case for all of England across the Premier League, as well as the lower leagues of English football. 

This is because of the rising number of cases in the United Kingdom which requires the prevention of large gatherings to stop the infection from spreading. 

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson earlier confirmed plans for allowing spectators back into stadiums starting from October 1. However, MP Michael Gove revealed that those plans would have to be reviewed. 

England was slowly welcoming back fans into the stadium, with 1000 fans attending 10 games in the Football League, the third tier of English football. 

Premier League postponed until April 3 & Bundesliga postpones fixtures until April 2

The absence of fans in the stadium has resulted in clubs all across the world taking a massive financial hit. Mainly because ticket sales are the most regular and reliable source of income for the sporting clubs across all divisions. 

Wigan Athletic went into administration last season, and many other clubs could meet the same fate should fans not be allowed to attend games for the rest of the year. 

Premier League chief Richard Masters came out saying that it was of immense importance that fans were allowed back into stadiums. 

Masters projected that the financial losses could be as large as £700 million for the 20/21 season if no money is raised via ticket sales. 

Additionally, since all Premier League games are not televised, the teams with a lower number of games shown on TV will be at a disadvantage compared to the bigger clubs and could be forced into dire financial situations should the status quo persist.

Manchester United has lost their first premier league match of this season against Crystal Palace at home by a 3-1 margin. Donny Van de Beek made his debut with a goal in that match. Today it will probably be a turn for Dean Henderson to make a memorable debut.

Dean Henderson has completed a loan spell at Sheffield United last season and made his mark in the big stage. As a reward, he got the chance to stay at Old Trafford to become their back-up goalkeeper this season.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already confirmed that there will be some changes in the team sheet from the last match against Crystal Palace. In the pre-match press conference, he said, “We’ll make some changes. Of course, we will. For some, it’s the pre-season and, for some, they’ve only been here for a week now, for different reasons.” 

“Some of them need game-time, they do and we can see we’re lacking in sharpness. We just need to make the most of the training sessions and games we have.”

“No injuries, no fresh injuries after that game [on Saturday] but, as I said, we’ll rotate and give some minutes.”

“Some, after the game, will do some harder training this week to get ready for Brighton. Some will join the squad and go down there.”

Manchester United is facing problems with its depth in the squad. They also faced many problems to sign their targeted players in the transfer market. United board are facing some dissatisfaction from the fans as well. It increases after the defeat in the first game of United against Crystal Palace.

It will be a challenge for the Red Devils to fight back again and give their fans some good moments and challenge for all the titles available.
