Nithya Ramesh won the Bronze medal at the European Open Championship in Belarus
Nithya Ramesh represented India in the Ice Skating competition. She won the bronze medal at the European Open championship. It was held in Belarus. But it’s sad that she didn’t get any recognition. Representing India in a world event and winning the bronze medal is not a simple thing. But sadly, our media won’t be focusing on such talents. Players like Nithya Ramesh don’t get enough recognition and motivation which they deserve. Sports other than cricket mainly and football, badminton, and tennis to some extent, don’t get any coverage in our country. It’s very harsh for those players who represent India at the international level and give their best.
This is one of the posts of a Facebook page. The woman at the left meets her after landing at the airport. And that’s how we came to know about her. This girl Nithya Ramesh deserves so much recognition. Ice Skating isn’t very popular in India, but despite that, she won a bronze medal in that sport.
There are many players like Nithiya Ramesh who thrives for India but lacks recognition. We, the people of India, needs to step forward and bring more and more of these players into the limelight. And give them their deserved recognition.
[adsforwp id=”6351″]
Hats off to Nithya Ramesh and also to that woman who brought her to some limelight. You made us all proud as a nation. All the best for your future and hope you win many more medals for India.

Planning to buy a smart speaker? Confused of which voice assistant should you confront with? Here we bring the best Voice Assitant of 2018 for your smart home
In this digital world, smart homes and speakers have become quite common these days. From developed to developing, all countries are making tremendous evolution in IOT…
IOT has made things easier, bridging the gap between electronic components and digital devices. That’s why controlling electronic items have just become easier.
With the advent of Voice Assistants, things have become much simpler. If your speaker is connected to other electronic items, you can switch them on or off just with your voice.
These days smart speakers let’s navigate, listen to music, narrate a story, shops for you and what not. Now among the three big voice assistant which one should you choose?
So to make things easier we have included a research by reviews.com into our post:
Top 3 voice assistants:
3. Apple Siri (used with Apple Homepod) – Best for Apple users
Apple Siri is one of the smartest out there but, it is much more effective for smartphones. It is available at Apple’s e-store and retails…
What makes it stand out of others?
Best for HomeKit device owners: The Apple HomePod works like magic if you are a HomeKit device owner. Well, HomeKit is Apple’s own smart device ecosystem. Though there are fewer integrations, still setting things up is pretty easy.
Great for Apple users: Well if you are a top to bottom Apple user then Siri is the best voice assistant for you. If you have a lot of Apple devices and want to make a good integration then Siri is there for you.
Extensive Language Support: Siri has excelled in this segment, with support over 20 languages Siri is very much versatile. But it’s important for you to know Siri only supports English when using the Apple HomePod smart speaker. Siri is more versatile if used in iPhone only…
Limited voice applications: The biggest disadvantage of Appl’s Siri is that it does not have many voice applications. It is because it has limited integrations with third-party apps.
Siri supporting devices aren’t so versatile: Apart from automation, Siri isn’t that effective with other smart devices in your living room or kitchen. The HomePod cannot add events to your calendar through Siri and cannot recognize different voices.
2. Google Assistant (used with Google Home) – Effective & is widely used
Google Assitant as you know is the smart voice assistant provided by Google. It is available on any Android device or in any Google Home smart speaker…
What makes it stand out of others?
Impressively Intelligent & accurate: When it comes to answering questions and providing some info Google Assitant stands out of its competitors. During the test of more than 4,000 questions led by Stone Temple, Google Assistant consistently outperformed other industry leaders including Alexa, Siri, and Cortana. Also, it can do 2 tasks at the same moment…
Advancing rapidly: Though Google Assitant falls behind others when it comes to voice applications or smart-device compatibility. But Google is pacing up its speed though, with its announcements at CES 2018 of matching Amazon Alexa’s Routines. This feature works like if you say “Hey Google, good morning” and your assistant will turn on the lights, tell you the weather, and stream music.
Stands out in entertainment: If you are using Google Assistant with a Google Home speaker and Chromecast devices will streamline your entertainment experience. You just need to activate your Google Assistant on the speaker to control any Chromecast device. With just one command you can stream from the wide option of YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, and others. The main rivalry between Google and Amazon is YouTube. Due to YouTube, Google has a wide range of entertainment and multimedia which is hard to experience with Amazon’s Alexa.
Doesn’t have that many voice applications: In this sector, Alexa is way too forward with over 30k voice applications. So, the usage of Google Assistant still seems to restricted. But, with time you can expect more voice applications for Google voice assistants paired with your Google Home.
Less flexible for home automation: In this sector, Google Assistant does not seem to as flexible as Siri or even Alexa. Google Assitant is still developing itself to pair with more number of devices and make a good automation.
The most famous voice assistant for Amazon Echo devices, the Alexa is widely used and has a lot of integrations with smart home devices.
What makes it stand out of others?
Impressively Intelligent: Alexa is very intelligent when it comes to understanding user’s commands and implementing it onto other devices. It is also highly fast and capable of answering general questions. It can perform tasks like news briefing or calendar reminder. With the new Follow-up Mode, it allows you to give multiple commands to Alexa. Well, with a wide range of conversational qualities Alexa is always keeping up its pace against the fast-moving digital world.
A wide range of skills: Amazon Alexa skills are voice applications that are similar to the apps on a smartphone. The skills allow you to perform tasks such as streaming music, reserving an Uber, and even completing a guided yoga session. Amazon also allows any third-party developers to create skills — anyone with the free Alexa Skills Kit can create one. So, there are endless opportunities for improvements and skills for Alexa. It has nearly 30,000 skills to choose from…
Easy Shopping: This is the strongest reason why everyone prefers Alexa. With Amazon’s shopping, with one voice command, you can order anything with a flow. You can even ask Alexa if Amazon is offering any exclusive deals for easy savings if your hands are full, making it a useful companion in the home. For doing all this you need to have an Amazon Prime Membership as well…
Variety of Smart device support: Amazon Alexa has the greatest amount of compatibility with other smart-home devices such as Philips Hue (lights) and Vivint Hub (smart hub). With the Alexa app, you can even monitor the use of your devices, making more flexible at the end of the day. Also controlling devices and automation is just very smooth and easy with Alexa.
Answers don’t always seem accurate: One of the major disadvantages of Alexa is that all the answers by Alexa do not seem accurate enough as that with Google Assistant. A recent study by SEO and digital marketing firm Stone Temple revealed that Amazon Alexa has a slight tendency to answer questions incorrectly or not provide a relevant answer.
Mobile experience doesn’t seem to that good: Alexa doesn’t seem to install in all of the mobile devices. So, it’s difficult to always reach through your Amazon Echo to use Alexa. You can still use the voice assistant by downloading the Amazon Alexa App, but it isn’t as seamless as simply activating Google Assistant or Siri by voice.
So, here were the top 3 voice assistants according to our choice in collaboration with reviews.com. Well, the Bixby and Cortana aren’t included in the list because:
Cortana though is accurate enough revealed by Stone Temple study. But the voice assistant isn’t quite versatile enough for a recommendation. Cortana has been limited to Windows PCs and the Harmon Kardon Invoke speaker.

Samsung brings their flagship Note series’ Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Snapdragon 845 processor.
Samsung has always been popular as a global brand with some awesome and durable products. With its firm first position in the global smartphone market, Samsung is ready to bring something fresh. Both the S series and Note series by Samsung have been extensively popular because of its flagship camera and performance. To add the Note series, Samsung is ready to bring the freshly built Galaxy Note 9. If you want to buy this device from Amazon, the links are given below.
When every smartphone company was releasing a flagship smartphone, Samsung too felt that revamping their previous was becoming too obvious. Handset makers like Oppo, OnePlus, Honor, Huawei and Vivo have already captured the market with their new flagship smartphones.
Well, the new age ultra-speed Snapdragon 845 is now the obvious choice for every flagship smartphones. So, Galaxy Note 9 also has Snapdragon 845 powering its body. With a revamped look and improved camera, the new Galaxy Note 9 seems promising. Without further ado let’s talk the specs of the Note 9:
Dual Rear Camera – 12MP (f/1.5-2.4) with Dual Aperture + 12MP (f/2.4)
Front Camera – 8MP (f/1.7)camera
16.2 centimeters (6.4-inch) Super AMOLED Infinity Display
18.5:9 display ratio | Always-on Display
Capacitive touchscreen with QHD+ resolution
Corning Gorilla Glass 5
Snapdragon 845 | Exynos 9810 Octa-core processor
Android v8.1 Oreo operating system
6GB RAM or 8GB RAM
128GB or 512GB internal memory, expandable up to 512GB (via hybrid sim slot)
Galaxy Note 9 is a premium device from Samsung with high-end specs loaded in it. Samsung has fixed the fingerprint sensor position in this device. Previously in Note 8, it was placed by the dual cameras which were the oddest position to place your fingers and unlock it. But it is now placed under the vertically aligned dual cameras, which makes it a better place to place your finger for unlocking.
There are bezels at the top and bottom of the device. At the top, there is a secondary noise cancellation mic and a sim tray. At the bottom, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type C port, a speaker and the S-pen in a drawer and at the left side of the phone, there is the volume rocker button and the power button.
It’s nice we don’t have to worry about charging the S-Pen – it doesn’t really have a battery, but a supercapacitor, which charges within the phone and it takes just 40 seconds. The charge is enough for up to 30 minutes of use over BLE connection, or 200 clicks on the remote. The maximum range is 10 meters. And when the charge depletes you can still write, draw, swipe, and use its key close to the screen.
The Galaxy Note9 supports fast wireless charging, as well as fast wired charging. There haven’t been any standard upgrades though – it’s the familiar Samsung adaptive charging and QuickCharge 2.0 – speeds. Which is somewhat disappointing – that large 4,000 mAh battery would take a while to charge over QC2.0 for sure. One of the most important thing about this Note 9 is that it is going to launch in two variants with two different processors for different vountries. In India, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has launched with Exynos 9810 Octa-core processor but the China variant comes with Snapdragon 845.
The Note9 will be available in Metallic Copper, Lavender Purple, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black. Samsung didn’t cave under the competition and stuck to its usual color schemes instead of going for the gradient or faux-transparent trends. But that’s not a surprise, Samsung is hardly a trend-follower – you can’t see a notch on a Galaxy, can you? We are glad the maker did use some of those paints on the S-Pen though – it looks cooler, and well, fresher now.
These are all you need to need to know about Note 9 before buying it. If you are a true android lover then go for it and this device won’t let you down. Let us know how much you liked about the all-new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in the comment section below.

Mohun Bagan registered their third consecutive win in the Calcutta Football League (CFL) 2018 by beating George Telegraph 1-0 on Sunday.
Dipanda Dicka scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute.
In today’s match Sourav Das, Pintu Mahata, and Shilton D’Silva formed the midfield trio with Henry Kisekka and Aser Pierrick Dipanda up front. Shilton Paul was replaced by Sankar Roy who made a rare start for the meriners today.
Mohun Bagan could have got an early goal in the seventh minute but Dicka’s free-kick hit the crossbar and went out for a goal kick.
Both the halves remained almost dull, as both the teams lacked creativity in the final third. Mohun Bagan at time’s looked as if they did not have any real plan, depending more on long balls.
Instead of such low standards of football, both the teams could have got few assured goals. George Telegraph was denied time and again by Sankar Roy, Bagan’s novice goalkeeper.
It was Dipanda who broke the deadlock by moving off his marker to connect to an inch-perfect cross by the new substitute Tirthankar Sarkar from the right in the air.
The home side crowd started to roar as this goal ensured five important points for them in the league ahead of East Bengal.
Towards the end of the match, the gallery was enlightened by the colors of green-maroon torches all over.
They next face Peerless SC on August 16 in CFL.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 31
Gerard Pique made his debut for Spain against England back in 11 February 2009. Since then he became one of the backbones of the star-studded Spanish side. He made one of the greatest center-back duos with Sergio Ramos. He had a dream career with the Spain team, winning the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the Euro in 2012. Gerard Pique has 102 caps for the Spanish side, scoring 5 goals.
However, Pique regularly got booed and whistled by Spain supporters for his well-known support for Catalan independence. He confirmed that he has already notified new Spain boss Luis Enrique of his decision.“I spoke to Luis Enrique and I told him my decision was made and pondered upo.,” the centre-back told reporters. “It was a lovely time with the national team, but now I want to focus on Barcelona.” Barcelona will face Sevilla in Tangier, Morocco on Sunday evening.
Despite all the jeers, the La Roja supporters gave to Gerrard Pique, they would know how big of a loss it is going to be. They would know, at a time when Sergio Ramos and the other architects of their glorious era nearing towards the end of the carrier. Andres Iniesta has already retired. Overall, Gerard Pique gave his best effort for the Spanish national team. He will continue to give his all for Barcelona now. We will see what happens with the central defender down the road.

Inthe tweet POCO India has mentioned “break-neck speed”, which clearly indicated about the speed they are aiming for in their first launch. According to the Head of Product, @GlobalPOCOPHONE in his latest tweet he has mentioned about the project he is doing.
Thanks for all the love! Many friends asked me questions about this new project I mentioned yesterday, here’s my answer: @IndiaPOCO @GlobalPOCOPHONE
According to Mani’s tweet, the new brand “is all about making a powerful smartphone with the technologies that truly matter” at a day and age when flagship prices are already hovering around the $1,000 mark and even going beyond. “We set out to buck this trend”, says Mani. According to him, “We got back to basics and focus (sic) entirely on speed. Not just peak performance speed, but actual, real world, speed”.
Talking about the inception of Poco, Mani said that it was started by him along with some of his colleagues at the company with the full blessings of CEO Lei Jun and global VP, Manu Jain. The group, according to him, has the “freedom to start from scratch, zeroing in on product choices that matter”.

The smartphone chipmaker MediaTek aims big to bring 5G by 2019 to counter Qualcomm’s Snapdragon
The Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek is focussing to launch its 5G or fifth generation technology in order to give a tough competition to the US-based chip company Qualcomm.
MediaTek has started working with the handset vendor in many countries including India in the expectation that the mobiles will be tuned to 3.5 GHz frequency band by the end of 2019.
“MediaTek is heavily investing in 5G development. We expect devices aligned with 3.5 GHz range to come by 2019″, MediaTek Director-Technology Mohamed Elsaidny”
adding to company’s pipeline includes modems and 5G routers.
The new MediaTek powered smartphones will be appropriate for Indian Market as the Government set the auction radio waves in 3.3GHz to 3.6 GHz as recommended by the telecom regulators of India. Mediatek’s Helio M70 is a chipset based on new radio standards which will be ready by the end of 2019.
On another hand, Qualcomm expects to release 5G by the starting of early 2019. They have already introduced Snapdragon X50, a 5g enabled modem. Both the brands will make their best to surpass each other as a result the smartphone buyers will be benefitted.
In the present scenario after the release of MediaTek Helio P60, the processor provides better performance than Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 and 636. The MediaTek feature phones like RealMe 1 which provide better gaming experience than Redmi Note 5 which has Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. Although the price of both the Smartphones is nearly the same MediaTek is able to deliver better performance.
The summer transfer window closed in England. Lets have a look at the top 6 clubs of the Premier League – Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Where do they stand after the transfer window?
Arsenal
New manager Unai Emery was quick to bring in changes in the squad after taking the managerial post at Arsenal.
Lucas Torreira looks a steal at £25m and should add some much needed bite and energy to the middle of the park. A winger would have aided the Arsenal squad while another quality centre-back would have been welcomed too. But the signs are positive and relatively impressed the Arsenal supporters.
Chelsea finished 5th last season. So everyone wanted some changes to bring back the glorious days.
Jorginho will help with the new manager Sarri’s ball approach and Mateo Kovacic will provide a great engine alongside the Brazilian.
However the most critical move comes in between the bars. Chelsea made a late move for 23-year-old Kepa Arrizabalaga after Thibaut Courtois forced through a switch to Real Madrid.

The management of Manchester United missed out on major signings. They badly needed a centre back but coudn’t get their hand on any worthy signing. This lack of transfer activities could harshly effect the trophy winning chances of Manchester United this season.
The only notable signing is of Fred. He is a good addition to their squad. But will he be enough to win the Premier League for Manchester United?

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur is the only team who haven’t sign any player in this transfer windown. They have a good squad, but their lack of squad depth could hurt their Premier League winning chances.
The only positive thing is that they kept hold of their main man Harry Kane. But that doesn’t change the fact that they failed to strengthen their squad.
Liverpool looks like a serious contender for this season’s Premier League trophy. They could easily threaten the two Manchesters’ Premier League dominance. Arsenal too have a new manager and they have been good in the pre season also. They have a good chance this season. The addition of Kovacic and Jorginho in the midfield have also boosted Chelsea’s chances. Manchester City have always been good in recent time. So it’s nothing new for them. But what remains to be seen is that whether the lack of transfer activities of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur would effect them too badly or they will show their strong character and fight back!
