Chelsea players linked to Italy switches: one positive and another false alarm

0

Chelsea fans are worried right now, because they could be losing another talented youngster in the form of Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan, where is currently on loan. The defender is totally focused on AC Milan, and the people at his new club are really happy with him.

He’s aggressive, fast and an important centre-back for the Rossoneri and will have an important part to play in their quest for the Serie A title this season.  Even more interestingly, they could seriously think of paying the €30 million that Chelsea have asked for if Milan want to keep Tomori permanently.

Tomori milan Chelsea players linked to Italy switches: one positive and another false alarm

The Red and Black club wanted Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan as their first choice for the summer. However, he has gone to Leipzig and will be replacing Dayot Upamecano, who has been captured by Bayern Munich ahead of the 21/22 season. Hence, Tomori is now their first choice.

Elsewhere, linking another Chelsea player to a move to Italy, there were rumours of Hakim Ziyech potentially moving to AC Milan or Juventus this week. Those rumours were rightfully squashed by Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, where the transfer insiders said that the rumour was false.

hakim Ziyech Chelsea Chelsea players linked to Italy switches: one positive and another false alarm

The Moroccan has barely had time to prove himself at Chelsea and only joined the club six months ago. It is absolutely foolish to realistically expect the player to leave London this soon, and he will be staying at Stamford Bridge.

Facebook cuts-off news sharing in Australia

0

Australia is on the verge of implementing a controversial law that would require technology companies to pay publishers when users post their articles.

The new law has received backlash from two of the world’s biggest tech companies, Facebook and Google. In recent updates, the social media giant Facebook has restricted the sharing of news on its service in Australia.

The new restrictions from Facebook are the strongest stand yet against the new proposed legislation. The law would require Google and Facebook to pay publishers for their articles’ value on the digital platforms.

The whole scenario started when the news outlets started demanding payments, arguing that they should be fairly compensated for their journalism as Google and Facebook capture much of the advertising market.

Facebook’s decision has a major impact on Australia’s news market as it blocks those in Australia from sharing news stories and stops users globally from sharing articles from Australian publishers. The company has cut Australia’s most widely used way of sharing news online and has cut off millions from accessing Australia’s new information.

But non-news websites, including government platforms for coronavirus information and weather warnings, and satirical pages, were accessible. The reason behind such drastic measures is not simply because of losing a share of their profit, but Facebook and Google have much bigger worries.

If the new law is passed in Australia and Google and Facebook agree to comply with it, then a similar structure would be observed in other countries that have been keeping an eye on Google and Facebook.

“Facebook needs to think very carefully about what this means for its reputation and standing. On quiet, sober reflection, they will start to become quite troubled about what that would mean for how that platform is received.”

Josh Frydenberg, Australia’s Treasurer, tweeted that, “He raised a few remaining issues with the Government’s news media bargaining code and we agreed to continue our conversation to try to find a pathway forward.”

William Easton, managing director for Facebook in Australia and New Zealand, said Wednesday in a blog post, “The proposed law fundamentally misunderstands the relationship between our platform and publishers who use it to share news content. It has left us facing a stark choice: Attempt to comply with a law that ignores the realities of this relationship, or stop allowing news content on our services in Australia. With a heavy heart, we are choosing the latter.”

Did you know, The world is short of Semiconductors?

0

As we witnessed in 2020, the availability of high-performance CPUs in the market was not enough to meet the buyers’ demands. We have already seen how the CEOs of companies like Intel and AMD have to written to the new U.S president, Joe Biden, to give additional fundings to the production of semiconductors so that the companies can meet the growing demands of the companies.

In recent updates, President Joe Biden’s top economic adviser, Brian Deese, has sought the Taiwanese government’s help to resolve the growing global semiconductor shortage.

The letter indicates that the White House is finally getting serious regarding the global issues which the former president believed didn’t even exist. Deese, the director of the National Economic Council, and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan are both personally engaged in the effort to address the issue.

The shortage of semiconductors has majorly impacted the U.S auto-manufacturing industry; however, not only the U.S but also every major manufacturing industry in other countries is affected by the shortage of semiconductors. However, all the countries that are addressing the issue agree upon that the shortage is not a short-term crisis.

Why Taiwan?

The country has the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturing industry and also relies on U.S. weapons to defend against China, which views the island as part of its territory and has threatened to use force if Taipei moves toward formal independence. That’s china for you.

The auto industry is depending on the White House to convince the governments of other countries to allocate supplies to the U.S.

“We think those are reasonable things for the government to ask. This is going to be a problem for the first half of the year.”

Why the Auto industry is in Crisis?

The auto industry was first hit in December due to chip shortage, coinciding with a tumultuous transition of power, an impeachment trial, the ongoing pandemic, and the urgent push for an economic stimulus. The company didn’t have time to recover because the government was busy protecting its seat. And as soon as Biden was sworn in as the president the industry only managed to receive preliminary support to fix the problem.

The auto industry suffered shortfalls in chips used for everything from parking sensors to reducing emissions. With carmakers including Germany’s Volkswagen AG, Ford, and Japan’s Toyota Motor Corp. forced to halt production and idle plants, the global Auto market suffered heavy losses and still has a long recovery road.

Spurs news roundup: Mourinho safe for now; Di Maria and Barella transfer rumours

0

Jose Mourinho’s situation at Tottenham has deteriorated since Spurs have fallen from the top of the table. The current scenario on the pitch is not the best, and Jose is not happy with the London club’s position at the table, either. Spurs currently find themselves in 9th place, with 36 points from 23 games played so far.

Spurs have only managed to win one of their last five league games, with the only victory coming against West Bromwich Albion. The Special One has lost to Liverpool, Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea and Manchester City in recent times, with the performances on the pitch a long shot away from what we saw earlier this season.

dele alli tottenham 2020 21 njan7t6ry60d1vpdq5jmzvyyt Spurs news roundup: Mourinho safe for now; Di Maria and Barella transfer rumours

The situation of Dele Alli has also been affecting the relationship between the board and Jose. They are not happy with the fact that he’s never playing for the club, despite being available for selection. The board thinks he is a good, important player for the team and can’t understand why he isn’t playing.

Currently, there is no danger for Mourinho, according to Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, but things need to improve.

di maria Spurs news roundup: Mourinho safe for now; Di Maria and Barella transfer rumours

Moving on to some transfer news, Angel Di Maria was offered to the club, but nothing serious took place. He’s talking with PSG to extend his current contract and Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella was also linked with a move to London on the back of a string of great performances. He too is not going to Spurs.

Inter Milan are expecting €80-90 million for the midfielder, and if history is any guide for the tendencies of Tottenham’s business, then there is no way that Daniel Levy is putting in that much money into a transfer.

How Bayern Munich managed to sign Dayot Upamecano, fending off Liverpool and Chelsea

0

Dayot Upamecano has been marked as a Bayern Munich player from the start of the 21/22 season with the Bavarians having agreed all personal terms with the young centre-back. However, while the race was on for the defender in recent times, it must be clarified that Manchester United were never in for the player.

They scouted and appreciated him but never approached the player, nor his agent regarding concrete talks. Of all the Premier League clubs, Chelsea were most interested. Thomas Tuchel was very impressed by him and was interested in securing the Frenchman’s services.

However, they couldn’t pay the clause right now. They needed time to wait till the summer to promise Leipzig the funds required. Liverpool too, wanted to plan on finalising talks with Upamecano next summer.

Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies were signed during the winter transfer window by the Merseyside club to reinforce the centre-back position, downplaying the need for another man at the back. Both Chelsea and Liverpool were in contact with Upamecano’s agent but nothing went down.

dayot Upamecano lmao How Bayern Munich managed to sign Dayot Upamecano, fending off Liverpool and Chelsea

Bayern recognised the danger they were facing in signing the player and negotiated early with Upamecano and had prior agreement with Leipzig. Chelsea and Liverpool were armed with big money but Bayern moved quickly to get their man.

With that said, though, they are not paying Upamecano’s €42.5 million release clause right now. The Bavarians will pay in the summer, when the player makes the switch to the Allianz Arena.

Fabrizio Romano trashes rumours of Sergio Ramos to Manchester United

0

Now entering the final months of his contract as a Real Madrid player, Sergio Ramos is being linked with a move to Manchester United, with rumours still there on the internet regarding the Spaniard and a switch to the Old Trafford next season.

Speaking on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio asserted that there is nothing right now between the two parties yet. Manchester United have made no contact with the agent or the player.

ramos benzema Fabrizio Romano trashes rumours of Sergio Ramos to Manchester United

In all likelihood, as things are shaping up, Ramos will probably be a free agent at the end of the season because there is currently no agreement with Real either.

President Florentino Perez could change the situation but there is nothing at the moment regarding a contract extension for the player either.

The transfer insider further went on to confirm that PSG were the only club in contact with his agent, and that no other club had made any approaches regarding his signature. With free agent deals, it is always an open ended affair. The reason being that the destination could change at any moment.

The situation regarding the contract of Sergio Ramos is still the same, with the player not budging on his demands of a two-year extension with Los Blancos. However, Madrid are only prepared to offer him a one year deal, which is not something that Ramos wants.

Moreover, the Spain captain wants to stay on the same salary at the Bernabeu, but there are question marks regarding whether Madrid will offer him that either. Fans will have to be patient to get a realistic update on the situation, because the parties involved are taking things very slow.
