MSI confirms that 11th Gen Intel Rocket Lake CPUs to launch at the end of March

0

While we are all excited to see Intel’s upcoming 11th Gen core processors in action, MSI’s official account on South Korean Danawa forums has confirmed that the existing 400 series motherboards will support the upcoming 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S desktop CPUs.

However, the higher-end Z490 motherboards will be the first to receive the updates, in the same month of the launch. However, it is rumoured that Intel will be allowing the OEMs to sell the 500 series motherboards even before the availability of these processors.

The recent leaks of these new Intel Rocket Lake-S desktop CPUs suggest that Intel has juiced everything out of the 14nm die. The Core i9-11900K has even managed to break the 700 points barrier in CPU-Z and is quite competitive to the new AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors.

We expect Intel to give some insights of its upcoming 11th Gen Rocket Lake and Tiger Lake-H processors at CES 2021, both expected to provide higher performance gains over their predecessors.

We’ll start then really getting some of the planning that we can do with them, right now we’re very hands off as they continue to do the work that they’re doing as we don’t own them yet.”

Spencer then told, “I mean, just the fact that we would go through an acquisition of this size. That Monday we were announcing I couldn’t sleep on Sunday night, I was nervous, I was anxious, I was excited, I had all the emotions. Then we we kept it quiet, it was so cool to see the reactions from Xbox fans and probably more importantly to me now the Bethesda teams, because those teams will be very, very critical to our progress going forward.”

“Exciting, exciting news. I can’t wait to get it closed so we can start working like one company. I’m incredibly excited about Starfield and a lot of the other things, some announced and some unannounced, that they’re working on. Exciting, exciting news. Display

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, the largest iPhone yet, comes with a 6.7-inch OLED Super Retina XDR OLED panel with a resolution of 1,284×2,778 pixels. Xiaomi Mi 11 has a 6.81-inch 2K WQHD (1,440×3,200 pixels) AMOLED display.

Here Xiaomi beats Apple in the pixels but it is has a slightly bigger screen than the latter which sometimes is not preferred by the customers. When it comes to the refresh rate, Mi 11 comfortably beats iPhone 12 Pro Max. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz as compared to iPhone 12 Pro Max’s refresh rate of just 60Hz. Both smartphones have the same aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max houses pro-grade 12-megapixel triple rear cameras. Talking about the selfie camera, Apple has a 12-megapixel front camera.

iPhone 12 Pro Max

But the important difference is that Mi 11 has HDR type whereas iPhone 12 Pro Max comes with SL 3D Depth Sensor with 2160p@60fps. Mi 11 comes at half a rate; 1080p@30fps. It is a fierce battle in this aspect and quite tough to declare a winner.

Processor

There is not much to separate the two smartphones when it comes to GPU and CPU. Mi 11 and iPhone 12 Pro Max comes with Adreno 660 and Apple GPU. One area in which we can call out a winner is system-on-a-chip (SoC). Xiaomi Mi 11 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC in comparison to iPhone 12 Pro Max’s A14 Bionic chipset.

Storage

Mi 11 offers you 8GB and 12GB RAM which is better than iPhone 12 Pro Max’s 6 GB RAM. But Apple wins the battle in storage with its three variants of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Mi 11 offers only two variants of 128GB and 256GB. Also, note that none of the devices has an external slot card.

Battery

Like in storage we had a clear winner, we have an unchallenged winner in the battery aspect. But this time it is Xiaomi’s Mi 11 which comes with a 4600 mAh battery pack with a 55W fast charging option. iPhone 12 Pro Max offers a 3687 mAh battery pack and is paired with 20W fast charging support.

Price

Everyone is aware that Apple smartphones are quite expensive. The same is the case here as well. Xiaomi’s offers three variants which are 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256 GB at a price of $611, $657 and $718. iPhone 12 Pro Max’s three variant comes for $1099 (6GB + 128GB), $1199 (6GB + 256GB) and $1399 (6GB + 512GB). Mi 11’s most expensive varant cost $300 lesser than iPhone 12 Pro Max’s cheapest variant.

Conclusion

Xiaomi’s Mi 11 beats iPhone 12 Pro Max in three aspects which are display, price, and battery where iPhone 12 Pro Max just edges out Xiaomi Mi 11 in the camera but when it comes to the processor, we believe that the A14 Bionic chipset will dominate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. This is because, in Geekbench, which is a CPU benchmark tool, Qualcomm’s SoC broke the 1000 mark for the very first time by accumulating 1139 points. Whereas, A14 was flying high with 1591 points. Even A13 had a higher score than what Snapdragon 888 had in this test. Apple’s A14 chipset has 77 frames-per-second (FPS) sustained and 102 peak performance in comparison to Snapdragon 888 SoC’s 86 peak performance. This shows how powerful and robust the A14 Bionic chipset is in comparison to current Android’s best SoC. If budget is not an issue for you, iPhone 12 Pro Max might be the best option.

Graphics and Gameplay:

Now, let’s talk about the game. From the very first look of the game teaser the first thing we noticed that the graphics is not so good, rather it looks medium. Comparing it with other leading battle royal games it seems a bit off-beat due to the character’s movement and the graphics as well. The game will be focused on the Himalayan cold and snowy region of Ladakh at the India-China border.

Enemies landing in Ladakh, India from Helicopter using parachute

In the video, we saw enemies coming down from the helicopter using parachutes and when they landed they already had guns on their back. After landing they took the guns from the back and started shooting in that case Indian army also started shooting. The guns used mainly were AK-47 similar to AKM used in PUBG. As shown in a scene you can see four Indian soldiers were holding guns and shooting. This indicates that you can play in a 4-man squad.

4 Indian solders using AK-47/AKM

We have also witnessed nails patted logs as weapons and severe one on one fights without any weapons between the Indian army and the enemy. From the video, we witnessed all the fighting skills that include using fists, legs, guns, and weapons.

Weapons:

  • AK-47 / AKM
  • Wooden Log covered with sharp Nails and others
  • Bombs
  • Knife

We are expecting more weapons and fighting skills to be introduced in the final game. So we have to wait for the final release date of the game to witness the epic battle royal game.

Victor Font and his vision for Barcelona

0

The Barcelona presidential elections take place later this month, and businessman Victor Font is among the favourites to inherit the leadership of the club following the dismissal of Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Font has commented that he intends on having Lionel Messi stay beyond 2021, despite the drama in the summer which involved the Argentinian handing in a transfer request via fax. Considering that Font has the credentials to bring back stability into the team, his appointment could be what Leo Messi needs to believe in a future at the club that he loves.

When asked about the goals that the candidate had for the club should he be appointed as President, here is what Font had to say:

“Maintain the ownership model and keep winning titles. That is, to be competitive by having the club owned by the members when this winning generation no longer exists.”

And when asked the question about planning for a Messi-less Barcelona:

“Not at all. In fact, our goal is for Leo to continue to be and continue to lead the team on the field as long as he wants to continue playing. When we were talking about Barca post-Messi, surely the best way to define it is Barca post-unique generation of footballers. And that does not happen from one day to the next. “

He concluded, “There were Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta, [Carles] Puyol, [Gerard] Pique, [Sergio] Busquets… and this transition is not from one day to the next, it happens in time. That is why it is essential to have a project and be clear about how to do it. This is what Messi told us in August, there is no project here, they are lurching, patches are put on. That was his frustration.”
