Eric Garcia will NOT join Barcelona in January

0

As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Barcelona have reached a total agreement with Eric Garcia regarding a future move to Camp Nou. The duo went on to state that the La Masia graduate will return to Barcelona in 2021 for sure.

The only doubt that remained regarding the transfer was whether it would go through in the ongoing transfer window, or whether it would be postponed till the summer, where the Blaugrana could have the player as a free agent.

Manchester City won't sell Eric Garcia for less than €20m, rejects Barça's €17m bid
via Daily Mail

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona Vice President Carles Tusquets had a meeting with Ronald Koeman and the three presidential candidates for the club, and two of them voted against going for the defender in January, while only one voted for.

It must be noted that no official contract has been signed by Garcia. Barcelona require the presence of the club president to complete the deal, and since there is no man in charge of the Spanish club, a deal will have to wait.

Pep Guardiola wants Eric Garcia and is confident that Barcelona cannot snatch him

Manchester City made plenty of efforts to try and make Garcia stay, with board members, as well as Pep Guardiola trying to convince the Spaniard to stay at the Etihad. However, the centre-back was determined to leave the club and return to Catalonia to don the Barcelona shirt once more.

Juventus anxious about Dybala situation, with the player yet to sign a new contract

0

There is cause for concern among Juventus fans, given that star forward Paulo Dybala is not extending his contract with the Serie A champions.

Speaking on the Argentinian’s future on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio said that he could leave if he doesn’t sign a new deal with the club. The duo further went on to say that Chelsea are currently not in talks to sign the player, despite him being linked with a possible move to Stamford Bridge many times in the past.

As of right now, the Blues want to defend their big-money signings of Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech, who only recently arrived at the club and are yet to make a consistent impact on the pitch, amongst the other new signings. However, that is because it takes time to adjust to a new country and a new style of football.

The transfer insiders further went on to say that at this point of time, it is much more difficult to get existing players to sign a new contract because a lot of negotiations need to take place between the two parties when a big player is involved, and a lot of money is on the table, which clubs are not willing to pay given the current situation.

Since the 27-year-old’s contract expires in 2022, this summer could be the last time that Juventus could manage to sell the player for a profit, rather than risk losing him for free. Dybala is currently on the sidelines, with a medial collateral injury and is expected to return to action at the end of the month.

AC Milan closing in on Tomori deal after Simakan injury

Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori is on the radar of AC Milan, who are in talks to sign the England international on an initial loan deal with an option to buy for €30 million at the end of it.

Tomori was rumoured to be on the verge of leaving Chelsea in the summer, with Everton and West Ham United being possible destinations for the youngster. However, Tomori chose to stay at the club and fight for his place in the first team. That, as time has shown, has not gone according to plan.

While the player is no doubt talented, he has fallen well behind in the pecking order, with Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen getting minutes ahead of him. Chelsea boss Frank Lampard recently confirmed that Tomori was set to go out on loan to get minutes under his belt.

AC Milan were prioritising Mohamed Simakan ahead of Tomori, but with the Frenchman ruled out of action with a knee injury, Tomori is now set to be the top target for the Rossoneri. The only other club potentially interested in signing Tomori from Chelsea are Premier League club Newcastle United. However, the Serie A side lead the race for the Chelsea academy product.

Speaking on the player’s future on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio said that nothing was confirmed between the two clubs, and that talks are still going on between the two parties regarding a move for the centre-back.

Liverpool’s pursuit of Renato Sanches will have to wait till the summer

Renato Sanches has been strongly linked with a move to reigning Premier League champions Liverpool. The Lille player is rumoured as a possible replacement for Gini Wijnaldum, who is believed to be on his way out of Liverpool.

Speaking on a possible deal for the 2016 Golden Boy Award Winner, Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio said on the Here We Go podcast that any possible deal for the midfielder would have to wait till the summer since the Merseyside club does not want to do business in the January transfer window.

Gini Wijnaldum’s contract expires at the end of this season. The Dutch international has been rumoured to be reunited with his former Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman at Barcelona, alongside Memphis Depay of Lyon.

There has been no word regarding a possible agreement between the two parties for an extension of the contract, and as of now, Wijnaldum could be on his way out of the club.

Sanches is an exciting player in the eyes of the Liverpool scouts and has slowly turned around his form at Ligue 1 club Lyon after falling from grace following a shocking spell at Bayern Munich.

A bid around the range of €18-20 million has been rumoured to be in the works for the young midfielder, and should the Reds manage to sign the player, it would be another outstanding piece of business following the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota.

US Automakers turn to Government for Assistance in growing Chip Crisis

0

A new issue faced by the American automakers has come to light about the automakers encountering a debilitating shortage of computer chips. They have reportedly asked the U.S. government to help solve this issue which has led to the closure of auto factories worldwide and could restrict production until the fall.

The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) is a lobbying organization for Ford Motor Co., General Motors Co., and the U.S. operations of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV. The AAPC is agitating with the U.S. Commerce Department and President-elect Joe Biden’s incoming administration to press Asian semiconductor makers to reallocate output towards the automobile industry and away from consumer electronics.

“We have requested that the U.S. government help us find a solution to the problem because it will diminish our production and have a negative impact on the U.S. economy until it’s resolved,” Matt Blunt, president of the AAPC, said in an interview Friday, according to Bloomberg. “We are not primarily concerned with where blame may lie for this global shortage if it lies anywhere, but we just want a solution. And the solution is more automobile-sector semiconductors.”

The shortage has already taken its toll as Ford was forced to shut a sport-utility vehicle factory in Kentucky this week as well as announced about closing a small-car plant in Germany for a month. Fiat Chrysler’s plants in Mexico and Canada have had to temporarily stop output. In the coming weeks, more production is expected to be idled.

Fingers of blame have been pointing in both directions, with chipmakers putting the blame on the auto industry as according to them the automakers brought this shortage on themselves by reducing orders too sharply when the pandemic hit last year. Automakers and their suppliers put their point forward by saying that the chipmakers prioritize consumer electronics because margins are fatter on those devices and as more people stayed home during virus-related shutdowns, demand for them boomed.

According to Blunt, it will hurt the U.S. economy more, the more the dispute drags on, as it takes chip manufacturers at least three months to ramp up production, the downside of this for auto factories will linger deep into 2021.

“Even if you solve this today, you’d have an entire quarter that’s going to be impacted,” Blunt said. “So it’s really going to have an impact through the first half of this year. And the longer it takes to resolve, the more it will bleed into the third quarter.”

Blunt, 50, the former Republican governor of Missouri, said that he has expectations from the Biden administration as he has begun “nascent” discussions with them.

“There are lots of people in the incoming administration that have some automobile experience and expertise, and certainly lots of folks understand, including the president-elect, how important the industry is to the United States,” Blunt said. “So we’re hopeful it will be a priority for them to help us resolve as soon as the president is inaugurated”, he concluded.

Stadia releases its promised State Share feature

0

Stadia has seen an increase in its popularity and is rising as the prominent destination for loud gaming technology. The company behind the tech, Google, has also promised to release a lot of innovative features for its product.

Among the new innovative features to be launched State Share is one of the most anticipated and interesting features. The feature allows players to share their setup via a link embedded within a video or image. If a streamer who just finished up a fun mission could use Share State to allow viewers to experience that mission with the same loadout, objectives, and difficulty.

It is a great feature that allows users to still play the Save State without affecting their overall progression.

According to sources, Hitman 3 will be the first game to utilize Stadia’s Save State feature.

In Hitman 3, as well as in the first two games in the Hitman – World of Assassination trilogy, you’ll be able to use State Share to save a game state within any campaign or custom mission, during the missions themselves, or at the mission complete screen. IO Interactive has designed its use of State Share to allow all saved game states to include the following gameplay elements:

  • Mission starting location within the beginning of the level
  • Mission objectives
  • Player loadout (including weapon, gear, and clothing)
  • Mission difficulty

The incredible part of playing Hitman 3 on Stadia is that with State Share, you’ll be able to play with weapons and items that you haven’t unlocked yet. Even if you haven’t unlocked certain weapons or items in Hitman 3, you’ll be able to experience them with State Share at the click of a link, without affecting your own progression in-game.

For ordinary players who don’t share their state, this feature may look not so useful, but for the streamers, it is a really useful tool.

But the majority of the focus is that Google is living up to its promise and releasing the features which it promised during the launch of Stadia.
