Camera

Black Shark 4 Pro features a triple-camera module on the backside of the device which includes a 64 MP Primary Camera followed by a 13MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera and a 5MP Depth Camera. ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate features a similar triple camera setup with a 64 MP Primary Camera along with a 13 MP Ultra-wide Angle Camera and a 5 MP macro sensor.

Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro also houses a triple camera setup with a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper and a 2 MP macro lens. It is Nubia with the weakest rear camera out of the three. Also, their front camera of 8 MP is poor than both Black Shark 4 Pro’s 20 MP selfie shooter and ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate’s 24 MP front-snapper.

Battery and Fast Charging

Red Magic 6 Pro and Black Shark 4 Pro packs the same 4500mAh battery cell and is paired with a 120W fast charging support. ASUS ROG Phone 5 draws energy from a much powerful 6,000mAh battery cell and is paired with a 65W fast-charging support.

  • 12GB + 128GB – CNY 4,399 (~Rs. 49,500)
  • 12GB + 256GB – CNY 4,799 (~Rs. 53,999)
  • 16GB + 256GB – CNY 5,299 (~Rs. 59,600)

The base variant of Black Shark 4 Pro, 8GB + 256GB storage model, is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 44,400). The 12GB + 256GB storage version and the 16GB + 512GB storage model are priced at CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 50,000) and CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 58,800) respectively.

Our Thoughts

Nubia has the largest screen and the highest refresh rate to offer but the 144 Hz refresh rate of the other smartphones is not bad at all. Nothing to separate between the processors. In terms of optics, Black Shark 4 Pro and ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate are better in terms of rear camera specifications but ASUS is the best when we take selfie snapper into account as well. The battery specification is dominated by ASUS again with its powerful battery cell. Even though ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is the most expensive of all three, due to better features, I might choose it.
