Last year the decision of AT&T to move its 2021 Warner Bros theatrical release simultaneously on HBO Max without any additional charge throughout Hollywood. Today Xiaomi India commenced Mi Fan meet with MD Manu Kumar Jain, where they asked the fans to guess that how many smartphones they are launching via a poll. Where the correct answer was “Yeh Dil Mange More” among 1, 2, and 3 options. This means the company is preparing to launch four or more new Mi 11 series smartphones in India.

A tipster assumes that Xiaomi will launch Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11x, and Mi 11i. As mentioned by Manu earlier the series will have more than one Snapdragon 888 powered smartphones and thus Mi 11, Mi 11i and Mi 11 Ultra are the main focus here. Other than that we have seen a Xiaomi smartphone getting BIS certification that will be equipped with Snapdragon 870 SoC, this is said to be Mi 11x, the name has not been officially revealed but it is said to be made especially for India. The Mi 11i is the rebranded Redmi K40 Pro+.

None of the names of the smartphones, other than Mi 11 Ultra, have been officially announced, so we are still not sure how many and which phones will be launched on April 23 in India. In the video conference with the Mi Fans, Manu had displayed the Mi MIX Fold and so we are hoping to see that device in the Indian market soon.

Kolkata Knight Riders starts their IPL 2021 campaign with a comprehensive win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They beat SRH by 10 runs to start their campaign.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bowl first. But KKR batsmen were on their top today. KKR opener Nitish Rana [80 of 56] and Rahul Tripathi [53 of 29] set the stage. Later Dinesh Karthik’s blistering knock[22 of 9] helped KKR to set a big total of 187.

SRH lost early wickets while chasing. Both of their openers were gone in a low score. Later Manish Pandey[61 of 44] and Jonny Bairstow[55 of 40] tried their best but that was not enough.

After the match, SRH captain David Warner said, “I didn’t think there were that many runs on this wicket. They adapted really well, had a good partnership. We failed to execute the first ball of most overs and then conceded a lot at the end.”

KKR captain Eoin Morgan was delighted with his side’s all-around performance. He said, “Delighted. The build-up to the tournament has been pretty good. In the camp that we had pre-tournament, the guys gelled well. Never quite sure what performance they will produce. Today was quite magnificent the way the guys batted. Guys at the top of the order. Nitish and Tripathi were absolutely outstanding and set up the game for our middle order to play in the manner we want to play. Certainly the bowling, we couldn’t have asked for a better start.”

According to sources, NASA has announced to build a solid-state battery for electric aircraft from scratch yesterday NASA’s battery resource and development department, SABERS made the new stable.

According to sources, the agencies want to create a new type of battery it a fire energy density than the existing lithium-ion battery which will not lose its capacity over time also the new battery will have a very low risk of fire.

“We will develop a new type of battery from scratch to adapt to the operating conditions and performance requirements of electric aircraft, rather than choosing among existing batteries.”

The new batteries do not contain any liquid hence they have a fewer risk factor. The new batteries will be developed using Sulphur-selenium and they have a smaller volume and higher energy density than the lithium-ion battery. The advantage of this battery is the use of cheap and easily available sulfur, which can reduce costs. This solid-state sulfur-selenium battery uses a “porous graphene” material previously developed by NASA, which has very high conductivity and is very light.

According to sources, the discharge capacity of traditional solid-state batteries is extremely low however there was no alternative for them for a long time. But the new batteries have nearly double discharge capacity and can also continue to improve in the future.

SABERS stated that the current safety standards for lithium batteries for electric vehicles are lower than that of aircraft. The research institute stated that five factors are critical, namely safety, energy density, discharge rate, packaging design, and scalability.

Those who are planning to upgrade to Intel’s next-generation Alder Lake CPUs designed around the LGA 1700 socket, have only but one worry. And that is related to the supporting upgrade for their existing coolers. As they need to compensate the CPUs which they will be working with, every cooling system needs to be properly integrated with the socket.

But, Noctua recently confirmed that PC builders running their Noctua cooler inside their rigs will now have no problem with their migration to the Alder Lake platform. The company stated on Twitter that they will be providing an upgrade kit for their existing line of coolers.

According to the official statement, the upgrade kit for its NH-U12A heatsink cooler will arrive sooner and there will also be upgrade kits for the rest of the cooler lineup. The company will ship the upgrade kit to customers of Noctua CPU coolers for free and will be bundled in new units.

This is a great initiative by the company, as intel’s Alder Lake CPUs make use of a brand new socket type which is different than all of the sockets released since Sandy Bridge hence cooler compatibility will be a major concern for users. On the other hand, the processor line-up will also be the first desktop processor family to feature a sub 14nm process node known as 10nm Enhanced SuperFin.

Today Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP @Xiaomi and MD @XiaomiIndia, was doing a virtual fan meet with more than 250+ fans around India. In that video conference call, he has shown the IP68 capability of the Superphone or Mi 11 Ultra 5G by submerging it underwater for 30 minutes, and then the phone was working completely fine.

In this fan meet another point of focus was the Mi MIX Fold that was launched last month. The phone was displayed by Manu in the video conference call in front of all the fans. As we were not present in the conference call so we can not tell much about the device neither it is public what Manu actually told about the smartphone. But we do have another video from a fan @ERDeepGill5 who seems to be attending the call, has also shared an image of the Mi MIX Fold. This might also hint that Mi MIX Fold will also launch on April 23 along with the Mi 11 series.

Mi MIX Fold that was launched in China last month comes with two screens: one outer screen and a folding inner display. The inner screen is a larger 8.01-inch screen with WQHD resolution whereas the outer screen sports a 6.52-inch AMOLED panel with a screen resolution of 840 x 2,520 pixels. It also has a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

In terms of optics, this foldable device features a quad-camera module on the back. It features a 108 MP Samsung HM2 main sensor, a 13 MP 123-degree FOV ultra-wide angle sensor, an 8 MP zoom sensor with 30x digital and an 8 MP macro camera. For selfies, it offers a 20 MP front camera sensor. This sensor is placed at the bottom of the handset.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile processor and is coupled with 12GB or 16GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It also comes with a quad-speaker system of Harman Kardon. Apart from this, the Mi MIX FOLD features a unique Butterfly cooling system. The device is packed with a powerful 5020 mAh battery cell, which is split into two 2,460 mAh cells and is paired with a 67W fast charging support. Though, the option of wireless charging is not present with this handset.

Mi MIX FOLD comes in three different storage variants. The base 12 GB + 256 GB variant is priced at 9,999 Yuan or about Rs 1,11,000. The 12 GB + 512 GB variant comes at a cost of 10,999 Yuan or about INR 1,22,000.
