Nothing Phone(1) is now ₹1,000 more expensive in India on these variants

Carl Pei-backed Nothing launched their first smartphone in the global market, the launch was an extremely hyped one as the company had managed to prevent any specifications from leaking and the build of their phone seemed to fascinate the entire tech community. However, just weeks after its initial launch, the company decided to hike the price in India, usually, price hikes are good because the cost goes down but in this case, it is the opposite.

Nothing Phone(1) will now cost you an additional Rs.1,000 for these models…

Vice President and General Manager of Nothing’s India division, Manu Sharma has revealed the reason behind the increase in prices. In a tweet, he states the following, “Thank you for the love shown towards Phone(1), with fluctuating currency exchange rates and rising component costs, we had to change prices.” If you have not already ordered the Phone(1) then we are sorry to tell you that you will have to shell out Rs.33,999 for the base version as opposed to the older price of Rs.32,999.

The 8GB+128GB version along with the higher-end 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants all have seen a considerable hike in their prices in the Indian market alone. The uncertainty around the rupee in comparison to the dollar has been a pivotal reason why the company has had to bump its prices up.

The increase in component costs has not helped them either. The Phone(1) is the first smartphone from Nothing and it arrives with a 6.55″ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset paired with 8GB/12GB RAM options and 128GB/256GB storage options, it has a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP secondary lens while it sports a 16MP selfie shooter. For battery, it has a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. You can buy the smartphone here.

WhatsApp to allow users to undo deleted messages

WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform allows users to delete their messages on their platforms in order to be able to make any corrections or to remove something that they may have regretted sending. There are instances where some users may end up deleting messages by mistake, now the company is launching a new feature to ensure that one can undelete their deleted messages if it makes sense.

WhatsApp is testing this feature for Beta users alone:

As per WaBetaInfo, a bunch of new features was spotted on the latest beta build of WhatsApp. The company recently extended the time that you can delete messages, it was bumped to 2 days from 2 hours and now there is also an option to remove the message under the ‘Delete for me’ option.

WhatsApp

The latest beta arrives with the undo option for deleted messages. This feature remains exclusive to beta users, it has not made its way to the final build yet but in due time it will be made available in the form of an update. The extended time limit to delete messages is already available to all users but the undo option is not, it can be seen via a pop-up at the bottom with an undo button.

The undo option is accessible only to a handful of beta testers on the Android app with version number 2.22.18.13. The features in the beta build may not necessarily end up making their way to the final app but stay tuned as we will let you know when WhatsApp makes this feature official!

Intel Raptor Lake Core i5-13600HX appeared in Recent Benchmark beating Alder Lake

Although several of Intel’s 13th Generation Core ‘Raptor Lake’ processors for notebooks are scheduled to launch later this year and release dates are expected to be adjusted, up until this point no benchmark data for those chips had leaked. However, some of the results of the testing that Intel’s partners do on the new CPUs unavoidably make their way online.

Today, the benchmark scores of the Intel Core i5-13600HX processor were unintentionally (or allegedly) published in BAPCo’s CrossMark test (via @momomo us). The CPU has 14 cores and can handle 20 threads at once, which translates to either a configuration with 6P + 8E or 4P and 10E cores (we assume the latter). The Intel Core i5-12600HX processor has 12 cores (4P + 8E cores), which provides some context.

The AlderLake-S SBGA DDR4 SODIMM CRB (customer reference board) from Intel, which is furnished with 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory, two 1TB SSDs operating in RAID mode, and a 4K display, was used to evaluate the CPU.

It is important to remember that Intel’s HX processors are intended for tiny form-factor desktops with good cooling as well as laptops that can replace desktops. These CPUs have a base power of 55W and a maximum turbo power of 157W.

It needed to compare the outcomes of Intel’s Core i5-13600HX (with a balanced power profile) with the Core i5-12600H because HX CPUs from Intel are not particularly well-liked by users of the general-purpose CrossMark benchmark.

Intel

The problem is that all of the latter findings were acquired on a system with a Full-HD panel, making the comparison unfair. To provide some extra context, we compared the best (which employed the best performance power profile) and worst results of the model i5-12600H.

It’s also important to note that BAPCo’s CrossMark benchmark has three groups of tests (consisting of seven sub-scenarios): Productivity (document editing, spreadsheets, web browsing), Creativity (photo editing, photo organisation, and video editing), and Responsiveness (application launches and the file opens taken from other sub scenarios). These groups of tests are intended to illustrate general system performance and responsiveness “using models of real-world scenarios.”

We doubt that BAPCO’s CrossMark can accurately depict the difference between Intel’s Alder Lake and Raptor Lake because all of these situations are fairly generic, even though they can quantify the difference between a low-end Core i3-powered machine and a high-end Core i9-based system.

Aubameyang to Chelsea: Is it a good move for FC Barcelona?

As we move onto the end of the transfer window of summer 2022, we are going to see some exceptional transfer moves and that includes a lot of excitement surrounding FC Barcelona. It has been the most turbulent transfer window for the Bluagranas and Xavi has got real signings at his disposals, however, a lot of players have been shown the door as well.

On the other hand, Joan Laporta and the board have signed important players like Araujo, Pedri, and Ansu Fati under long contracts and have worked to make free transfers since over a year now. Two important forwards at the club, Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have already been linked to moving away from the club.

The point to be noted is that while the Dutch International is not being counted upon and so Juventus is linked to sign Depay for free but that is not the case for Aubameyang, because Xavi counts on him. Though FC Barcelona made their biggest statement by signing Lewandowski but keeping a backup striker of Auba’s calibre is important which Xavi knows pretty well.

Now, Chelsea on the other hand is trying hard to bring Aubameyang to London anyhow under the instructions of Thomas Tuchel, their old coach of Auba back at Dortmund. However, Barcelona have demanded a ransom of 30 million euros for a player whom they signed for free last winter and as it turns out Chelsea is willing to pay.

Considering Blaugrana’s financial situation, the club is really tempted to sell the player which could help the club in bringing other players to Camp Nou. However, should Laporta and Xavi go down this route? If so, as both Depay and Aubameyang could head away from the club who will be the backup number 9 for the club?

Well, to tackle this, Xavi could use the abundance of talent already at the club like Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres, who are versatile enough in front of the penalty box. Considering how this deal is going on FC Barcelona could eventually end up selling the striker but Xavi has to say who could then play as a backup to Lewandowski.

How Casemiro’s €70m transfer will affect Manchester United and Real Madrid?

0

Manchester United are expected to submit the official bid to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid today. By the looks of things, the player will not be turning down the crazy financial offer that he has received.

The Premier League club offered to double his current salary, which will see him earn €430,000 per week at Old Trafford. As a result, it is likely that he will be making the move away from Real Madrid as things stand, even if he won’t be playing in the Champions League.

Manchester United confident of signing Casemiro: How will it affect both clubs?

The Brazilian will cost United €70 million, which would make him one of the most expensive players over 30 to make the move to England. However, Manchester United badly need a quality defensive midfielder to fortify their midfield. They have failed to sign such a profile throughout the summer, and are now forced to use their financial power to lure the player to the club.

Real Madrid already signed a defensive midfielder in the form of Aurelien Tchouameni earlier in the transfer window. But, the iconic trio of Kroos, Casemiro and Modric will no longer play together. Madrid will also lose a vocal leader in the locker room, and on the pitch.

Casemiro’s departure will be a huge blow to fans as well, but Madrid are prepared to deal with it for the time being. Tchouameni is currently 22, and is yet to reach the peak of his abilities. So, Madrid might try to sign a backup option to share some of the responsibility with the Frenchman.

Johnny Depp takes the director’s chair to make the Biopic of Amedeo Modigliani

Johny Deep once again takes sits in the director’s chair for the first time within 25 years. The show that forces the actor to take the director’s chair is the biopic of an Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani also titled Modigliani.

The latest reports confirm that Johnny has yet to make the film along with the popular actor Al Pacino. The cast list has not yet been revealed, and it’s not certain if Johnny is set to feature himself in this.

Johnny

The center of the biopic Amedeo Modigliani was a famous Italian painter who become famous hugely posthumously. The style was not good to adopt in his lifetime and he had considered himself a failure both commercially and critically.

While something and someone is alive then people give a lot of hatred and ignorance, but once the things or the man become dead, everyone starts to recognize their works or the man. For this man, the same thing happened as his creations became sought all over Europe after his death in 1920.

Hollywood Reporter confirms the show will feature Dennis Mclntyre and also adapted on the screen by Jerzy and Mary Kromilowski, the movie will become a retelling tale of the popular painter who was a resident of Paris in the early 20th century.

The famous actor comes director, Johny Depp says, “The saga of Mr. Modigliani’s life is one that I’m incredibly honoured and truly humbled, to bring on the screen. It was a life of great hardship, but eventually, a triumph—a universally human story all viewers can identify with,”

The latest report confirms, that Johnny created the film for lN.2, that’s the European arm of the production company Infinitum Nihil. Al Pacino and Barry Nividi are the co-producers. The reports of the production will start in France in the Spring of the coming year. The cast will soon be declared.

In his entire career, he just directed only one film in 1997, The Brave which featured him, alongside Marlon Brando. In total, the actor has produced 11 films that give huge box-office success just like Hugo. As an actor, Johnny will be seen next to French king Louis XV in the latest film Jeanne du Barry.

Samsung plans to release 1TB DDR5 RAM by 2024 and it’s DDR5-7200 MT/s Speeds Module by 2025

Samsung aims to release a portfolio of brand-new DDR5 server memory modules to support the introduction of AMD and Intel’s next-generation server platforms. These modules will be based on 16Gb and 24Gb DDR5 devices and will include the first 512GB RDIMM/LRDIMM in the market. Samsung’s DDR5 innovation will advance with the arrival of a 32Gb IC in early 2023, which will allow the business to produce a 1TB memory module in late 2023 or early 2024. Samsung plans to introduce ICs with a 7200 MT/s data transfer rate in two years.

The DDR5 specification from JEDEC offers significant advantages for server platforms. They also introduce novel approaches to raise per-chip and per-module capacities, as well as improved reliability and yield-improving strategies, in addition to improved performance scalability. Additionally, the specification permits the integration of up to 16 DDR5 ICs and 64GB monolithic DDR5 memory devices into a single chip (up to 16 ICs whose capacity is lower than 64Gb). As a result, it is not surprising that 32Gb DDR5 ICs are now available.

To commemorate the completion of its development, Samsung plans to formally launch 32Gb DDR5 smartphones perhaps early in 2019. The first devices based on these chips, 32GB unbuffered DIMMs for client PCs, may be publicly unveiled by Samsung at the end of 2023 when these chips will ramp up. The company will later reveal its 32 8-Hi 32GB stack and 1TB DDR5 memory modules that are intended for server platforms due in 2024 to 2025.

DRAM manufacturers like Samsung currently employ 8-Hi stacks with up to eight memory devices, but in a few years, they’ll switch to much larger stacks.

For instance, Samsung will be able to create 2TB server-grade DDR5 modules and enable devices with tens of terabytes of memory per socket by stacking sixteen 32Gb DRAM ICs or eight 64Gb DRAM ICs (e.g., a 12-channel memory subsystem supporting two DIMMs per channel might get up to 48TB of memory)

Samsung

Samsung’s 32GB DDR5 memory devices will enable the construction of extremely reasonably priced single-sided 32GB DIMMs once yields of these chips reach levels equivalent to those of 16GB ICs. This will allow desktop enthusiasts to outfit their PCs with 128GB of memory without breaking the bank.

While capacity is vital, enthusiasts also value high speeds, so Samsung is making great efforts to enhance the functionality of DDR5 products. The business is planning to provide us with 5200 MT/s to 5600 MT/s official ratings that are intended for the next client’s PC platforms. We anticipate that manufacturers of modules like Corsair and G.Skill will employ these chips to create products with speeds of 6800 MT/s to 7000 MT/s and higher, however, those products will need higher voltages.

Samsung

In 2025, Samsung expects to release DDR5 chips with a 7200 MT/s data transmission rate at the JEDEC-required 1.1 Volts. Samsung has been discussing the DDR5-7200 speed bin for a while but hasn’t said when it intends to start making the necessary hardware. Finally, the business showed a graphic at the webinar that dates “DDR5-7200+” to 2025. So anticipate that experts in memory modules will use such ICs to achieve speeds of 10,000 MT/s or greater.

The first team has seen the arrivals of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella. But, Boehly is planning for the future as well by recruiting some of the top youngsters in the world. So, the tradition of promoting exceptional youngsters through the academy is continuing despite the change in ownership.

Chelsea’s new ownership and their youth recruitment strategy

Cesare Casadei and Carney Chukuemeka are two of the latest young players to make the move to West London. Both young midfielders are very highly rated, and will develop as part of the renowned Cobham academy before they are given a chance in the first team.

American goalkeeper Gabriel Slolina has been loaned back to Chicago Fire, with the 18-year-old expected to be a part of the future of the club as well.

Former Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchinson has also made the move to Chelsea, despite the Gunners offering him a contract extension.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah and Romelu Lukaku were all part of the Chelsea academy. But, they were sold after only a brief spell. Under the new ownership, fans will be hopeful of more patience from the board when it comes to youngsters so that they can actualise their potential.
