AMD Financial Analyst Day 2025: Event Details

What to Expect: Zen 6 and Beyond

AMD will likely showcase its Zen 6-based Venice CPUs and future generation Verano processors, potentially featuring up to 256 cores for the EPYC lineup launching in 2026. The company is expected to detail both Zen 6 and Zen 7 architectures in its future roadmaps, marking a significant evolution in CPU performance.

For consumer markets, this might be the first time we get information on next-generation Ryzen desktop and mobility lineups based on Zen 6 architecture, including architectural improvements and core configurations.

AI and Data Center Focus

The Instinct MI400 and Instinct MI500 series have been made official already, so it’s time that AMD gives insight into what comes beyond 2027. With AMD moving to a yearly cadence for its Instinct AI product family, expect major updates on future AI accelerator roadmaps.

The company will likely emphasize its AI strategy, including XDNA NPU developments and ROCm ecosystem enhancements, positioning AMD as a serious competitor in the AI infrastructure market.

Gaming GPU Revolution: RDNA 5/UDNA

Following the successful RDNA 4 architecture launch, AMD could present RDNA 5 / UDNA series as the next chapter in its client/pro side GPU family. This unified architecture approach could revolutionize AMD’s graphics strategy by combining gaming and professional GPU architectures.

Strategic Importance of the Event

During the last Financial Analyst Day hosted by AMD back in 2022, the company presented its Zen 5 CPU products, RDNA 3 & CDNA 4 GPUs, and the respective families. The 2025 event promises similar significance, potentially outlining AMD’s competitive strategy against Intel and NVIDIA through 2028.

Software and Ecosystem Updates

Beyond hardware, expect software innovations including ROCm ecosystem enhancements for AI workloads and broader XDNA NPU strategy reveals. These software developments are crucial for AMD’s ecosystem competitiveness.

The event will feature presentations from AMD’s executive leadership team, highlighting the company’s strategy and growth opportunities, innovative product and technology roadmaps and long-term financial plan.
