Barcelona set up a war in wings for the 2022/23 season

The Spanish club giants Barcelona are in the final preparation mode for the new season. Xavi’s Barca has already set up a good-looking squad with competitive approaches inside the team. Here we are talking about their competition in the wings.

Barcelona have set up a strong wing team for the new season, which is a crucial aspect of a team’s attacking culture. In both the wings, the team has various strong options.

On the left wing, Barca have talented youngsters like Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Ez Abde. Meanwhile, the much experienced Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha are available for the right-wing options. These are the names of wing specialists as the club has more options for the wings.

Left-wingers: Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Ez Abde.

Right-wingers: Ousmane Dembele, Raphinha.

Other wing options

The centre-forward Memphis Depay can also play the left-winger role, while another striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can also effectively play in both wings.

As the Polish star Robert Lewandowski is expectedly to handle the centre-forward role for the major part of this season, we can expect to see experienced Depay and Aubameyang in winger roles in some crucial situations.

Another forward Martin Braithwaite, who is staying at the club until getting paid fully, can also be a strong option for the left-wing. However, the sour relationship between him and Barca is likely to be a big issue as currently, we can’t expect him as a strong option for the club.

Present status with other best options

Xavi’s Barcelona has a fine forward line set up between Torres, Aubameyang and Dembele. In the last season, while Aubameyang effectively handled the centre-forward role, the right-winger Dembele was their top playmaker, and Torres emerged as a strong left-wing option. Also, we are not forgetting Depay’s versatile roles in the forward line, including strong centre-forward and left-wing options.

However, the addition of Lewandowski to the squad for the new season has made the Barca forward line more competitive. While Lewandowski will be a primary target for the centre-forward options, it will be fascinating to see how Aubameyang and Depay fit in the squad.

While Torres mainly has to fight Depay for the left-wing position, Dembele has now a strong competitor for the right-wing option as Raphinha.

Last season, Xavi also tested his wing and other front lines with some interchangeable experiments among the forwards. We can expect some similar experiments this upcoming season, which will clear their forward line picture with time progress.

Barcelona will start their 2022/23 season with their opening game of the new La Liga season against Rayo Vallecano at home on August 13.

Google: Chinese Researchers with their 512 GPUs System gives Google a run for its Quantum Supremacy title

With their Sycamore system, Google claimed to have attained the coveted quantum supremacy level of computing back in 2019. However, the GPU, which is today’s preferred accelerator, has just resolved the issue for which it made the claim. According to Science, despite having “only” 512 GPUs, Chinese engineers recently solved the same computational issue that earned Google the title.

This was accomplished by accelerating some clever modifications to the original algorithm. But the entire idea of “quantum supremacy” refers to the situation in which a quantum computer resolves a puzzle that a conventional computer would be unable to perform.

At the time, Google claimed that the computation that its Sycamore quantum computer crushed in 200 seconds would take the fastest supercomputer available at the time, the IBM-supplied Summit, an ungodly 10,000 years to solve. The same task took the Chinese team’s 512 GPUs fifteen hours to complete. It serves as yet another reminder that quantum computing and time are both relative, which is understandable given the relative youth of the technology.

The basis for Google’s assertion that it had quantum superiority was their identification of a pattern of interference in the qubit’s values. All current methods for quantum computing, which allude to how the environment and the qubit’s design and operation inject flaws into its calculations, are prone to decoherence since quantum computing is a temperamental master.

Google then extrapolated a result, demonstrating the pattern of the processor’s deviations from the precise, right values that it should be outputting, from these operational flaws and by running the identical algorithm through Sycamore for 200 seconds.

These variations happened as a result of the faults making some outputs more likely than others, and this pattern was eventually represented by a reproducible spiky graph. Google argued that its graphical depiction of the correlation between outputs and faults provided it the quantum edge. The Chinese scientists succeeded in producing this graph. To do so, they expressed the issue as a 3D matrix, which allowed their 512 GPU’s specialised tensor cores to solve it by simply multiplying the variables in the matrix.

The Chinese scientists were given considerable flexibility by Sycamore’s low fidelity; they simply increased the accuracy of their calculations to 0.37 percent. That’s sufficient to defeat Sycamore, but it’s still a long way from what is conceivably feasible. Sergio went on to say that “we don’t think this classical technique can keep up with quantum circuits in 2022 and beyond” due to this fact as well as the fact that quantum computing is still in its infancy.

Arsenal start their 2022/23 season with a promising win against Crystal Palace

0

Arsenal were on the verge of finishing 4th in the Premier League last season and regaining their lost Champions League status. But Mikel Arteta’s team lost momentum in the last few matches and ended up giving up their 4th place to Tottenham and finishing 5th.

However, Arsenal have made a strong and promising start to their 2022/23 season. They have beaten Crystal Palace by 2-0 in a tricky fixture. Arsenal have done some smart transfer business this summer. They have bought Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko from Manchester City and the latter got the first assist of Arsenal’s 2022/23 campaign. Jesus was also threatening on the attack.

The most improved man was William Saliba. The Arsenal man was on loan at Ligue 1 club Marseille last season and showed that he has it in him to play at a big club. Arteta trusted him and the Frenchman has repaid his manager’s trust. Just take a look at the stats from his match winning performance.

Crystal Palace – 0 : Arsenal – 2 (Gabriel Martinelli 20′, Marc Guehi (OG) 85′)

With Arsenal winning against Crystal Palace in the Premier League 2022/23 season opener, Mikel Arteta has now won his 50th league match as Arsenal manager. He is the second fastest to achieve this feat.

Arteta has taken 98 league games to win 50 matches, only Arsene Wenger was able to better that. The Arsenal icon racked up 50 league wins in only 94 games.

Arteta has been smart this summer and has strengthened his team to challenge for the top 4 places once again. After failing to do so by a small margin last season, Aretat’s men have started this season with a win which would do a world of good to their confidence.

On Wednesday, Disney+Hotstar released the teaser of the third season of the most-anticipated series. Criminal Justice 3: Adhura Sach, where we will see Madhav Mishra taking on assistant public prosecutor Lekha, played by Shweta Basu Prasad.

The teaser is a very short and crisp one, where we saw that a woman was approaching Pankaj Tripathi in order to fight her case, while his opponent calls it a simple and straight case but he assured her that there is much more thing to be read in it. Although the client’s face or the subject of the case is not revealed, we saw him going all out to protect her in the courtroom.

Nothing to launch two new TWS buds as successors to the Ear(1)

The Nothing Ear(1) was the first product that was launched by the brand, from that point onwards, it has been nothing but heading up for the brand as it went on to launch its first smartphone as well. Now as per a new leak, the company could launch two new wireless earphones that will succeed the Ear(1).

Nothing Ear(2) detailed specifications:

As per StuffListings, the company is looking to launch two new truly wireless earbuds in India out of which one will include the Ear(1) Stick model while the other is likely to be the Ear(2) TWS model. The tipster claims that both models are in the internal testing phase in Europe and Asia.

Nothing Ear(2)

Given that the same tipster leaked the Ear(1) Stick model before, this model will launch in Europe soon and will retail for EUR 99 or Rs.7,996 and this information was based on an Amazon listing.

The Stick version does not come with replaceable rubber tips and is more likely to have a semi-in-ear style design. This means we will not see ANC or active noise cancellation on this as well. This model will be cheaper than the Ear(1).

Nothing Ear(2)

The Ear(1) Stick will have a new rectangular case and the buds come with an IP54 water resistance rating, other features include Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity, up to 7 hours of battery life from just the buds, and an additional 30 hours from the charging case. Other features are AI noise isolation mode and low latency mode. This is all that we know for now but coming to the Ear(2) considering that it will be a high-end model, it is likely to feature ANC along with additional features.

Realme 9i 5G will launch in India on August 18th

2

Realme launched the 9i in January with the Snapdragon 680 SoC, and seven months later, the company is ready to unveil its 5G variant. Realme 9i 5G launch event will take place digitally Thursday, August 18 2022 at 12:30 PM on Realme’s social media channels, including YouTube and Facebook.

Realme 9i 5G will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset, which has become pretty standard for entry-level 5G phones. As per the brand, it will be packed with a “massive battery” and an AI Triple camera setup. Let’s have a look at its detailed specifications and features.

Realme 9i 5G Design and Specifications

Realme 9i 5G will flaunt what the company calls a “Dazzling Design.” t comes with a flat rear panel and flat sides compared to the curved rear back and rounded-off edges of the 9i 4G. Realme is known for experimenting with different finishes for the rear panels of its devices. The 9i 5G is no different, as it gets a new laser light finish on the back panel. Thankfully, there’s no “Dare To Leap” branding here.

The 9i comes with a 6.6-inch FullHD LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You can expand the storage on the 9i by up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The 9i 5G is confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset.

The phone has three cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera. Equipped with a massive 5000mAh battery with super power-saving mode, 9i offers uninterrupted consumption and usage for long hours.

Realme’s Madhav Sheth recently told us that the company will launch a 5G smartphone in India in the category from INR 10,000 to INR 15,000, and it’s unclear if it was referring to the 9i 5G or another phone. For reference, the 9i 4G currently starts at INR 13,499 and goes all the way up to INR 15,999.

Android users rejoice as YouTube finally allows you to zoom in on videos

YouTube adds a new function or two to its experimental features page, usually, those who subscribe to the brand’s premium package are the ones who get to access these features before the rest of the public. Some premium users with Android devices are now able to zoom into videos with a pinch gesture in case they wish to look closer at any part of the video. This was first reported by 9to5Google.

Pinch-to-zoom will be available for YouTube users from the 1st of September

Some of you may be confused as if you were to access the video streaming platform on your mobile right now, and while playing a video if you pinched, the video fills the screen and this may lead you to wonder what is new about this.

We are not referring to this, the zoom feature is different and lets all users irrespective of their subscription status fill the screen with a pinch, the feature we are referring to is exclusive to the YouTube app for Android users in the Your Premium benefits menu within Profile Settings.

Pinch-to-zoom will be available for demo until the 1st of September after that it will either be launched for the public at large given that there are no issues with its functionality, however, as of now, we have no information on if this feature will be available to those who are not subscribed to YouTube Premium.

We hope that the streaming site does release this feature to the public at large but it is doubtful considering that it likes to reserve such features for its premium members.

OLA: 3,426 electric scooters are sold in July which is 42% fewer than in June

According to the most recent figures from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), Bhavish Aggarwal-led Ola Electric sold 3,426 units in July 2022, a 42 percent decrease month-over-month from the 5,874 units sold in June.

Ola Electric Sales in July

The Bengaluru-based company experienced issues with RTO (regional transport office) registrations, software bugs, overheating, subpar service, etc. when it began shipping in December 2021.

Its revenues have consistently decreased month over month. After selling 12,691 units in April 2022, the firm surpassed all other manufacturers of electric two-wheelers, but from May onward, sales began to drop, falling to 9,225 units.

Eight-month-old vehicle manufacturing at its Future Factory in Krishnagiri, Tamilnadu, was put on hold due to annual maintenance. Recent sources claim that it was the result of an increase in inventory brought on by cancellations.

However, the company refuted it. They claimed that we performed annual maintenance at our factories much like the majority of automakers. This in no way constitutes a suspension of production. Hence, it is made clear that the information is false.

Monthly Production in the Company

The company is still generating far less each month than its monthly manufacturing capacity, which is roughly 15,600. The fact that the company was able to secure over 1 lakh bookings within two days of the sale window opening online and that it was unable to sell even half of that number by July of this year, indicates that the factory has been operating at less than 50% of its installed capacity, is also noteworthy.

The company shut down Ola Dash in June and refocused Ola Cars, its used car subsidiary, on its electric business after announcing intentions to grow its rapid commerce operation Ola Dash in January of this year to create 500 dark stores across 20 cities.

As per the sources, the company said that Ola has reevaluated its priorities with a clear focus and made the decision to discontinue the rapid commerce operation. The infrastructure, technology, and capacities of Ola Cars will be repurposed to expand the sales and service network of Ola Electric.
