If you’re a Baki fan, you already know — this franchise doesn’t do anything small. Baki-Dou Season 1 just wrapped up with 13 bone-crunching episodes, and now everyone’s asking the same question: when is Baki-Dou Season 2 coming to Netflix? Here’s everything we know right now.
What Is Baki-Dou?
Baki-Dou is a Japanese Netflix Original anime series — the sequel to Baki-Hanma and the fourth manga entry in the franchise, written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki, with TMS Entertainment handling animation. It’s raw, brutal, and absolutely addictive for action anime lovers.

Is Baki-Dou Season 2 Officially Confirmed?
Not yet — but don’t panic. Baki-Dou debuted with 3.4 million views in its first week on Netflix, and its second week held strong at 3.1 million, crossing 6 million views quickly. Those are seriously impressive numbers, and with plenty of source material left, a renewal feels inevitable.
The anime has so far covered the first 99 chapters across 11 volumes of the manga, while the full series runs 198 chapters across 22 volumes — meaning there’s a full season’s worth of content still waiting.
When Could Season 2 Release?
Previous Baki series saw roughly two-year gaps between seasons, which suggests fans could be waiting until 2027 or even 2028. However, if TMS Entertainment is already in production, a 2027 release is plausible.
Season 2 is also expected to be labelled “Part 2,” since the Baki-Dou manga continues into a separate Sumo Arc after the Invincible Samurai storyline concludes. whats-on-netflix

Beyond Season 2 — What’s Next for Baki?
